Krishna's son Pradyumana had married Prabhavati daughter of Asura Vajranabha...Vajranabha was the step-brother of Indra who coveted the throne of Indra ( Vajranabha was born through Diti & Indra through Aditi )...In the impending battle Pradyumana killed Vajranabha. Seeing this sight Nikumbha brother of Vajranabha fled to high mountains...& swore revenge on the yadu's.

Krishna had another son Bhanu from satyabhama...he had a beautiful daughter Bhanumati who was of marriageable age...when all the married elders had gone for a cruise...& Dwaraka was virtually unprotected Nikumbha came & abducted Bhanumati ( This happened because of the curse of Durvasa...Once when bhanumati was a child ...she had bumped into Rishi Durvasa who as his habit...cursed her " may u fall into the very hands of your foe "...but then he repented & rectified that her reputation will not be tarnished...Krishna & the elders did not knew about this incident ) & flew towards his mountain.
when Krishna came to know he, Pradyumana & Arjuna went to fight Nikunbha...They fought & freed Bhanumati from Nikumbha's clutches.
Now, Bhanu feared that nobody will take Bhanumati's hand for marriage...that's when Krishna came to rescue & said Sahadeva the fifth pandava would marry Bhanumati. & with Yudhishthira's consent Sahadeva got married to Bhanumati with great pomp in Dwaraka.
