Why Different Flags in Kurukshetra War

This question came in my mind when I google about Pandavas and Kauravas
I read that each one had different flag on their chariot during Kurukshektra war
Like Pandavas were in one right still each Pandava had different flags on their chariots and same is for Kauravas...

Can someone plzz tell me Why they didn't have one common flag from each side?
