Unpredictable situations of life which may divert the life into a positive path or a negative path....

She heard that same old voice after almost 5yrs since when she was left alone to be degraded in her unfaithful life. Her life wasn't constant at any moment maybe whatever the situation is. She always had to face unpredictable situations in her life which does includes this old voice.

She was stunned listening to it, she murmured something, she turned back slowly closing her eyes for an unfaithful but one of the most awaited desire. She then let her sight know who it was who came to her life just like an unexpected letter from someone. The atmosphere in the room was filled with mixed feelings. She wasn't able to figure out what should be the next step. Should she be excited for her awaited desire or cry upon the unfaithful destiny which has followed with her like her footsteps.

The girl was dressed in a very elegant manner wrapping her body by short reddish orange top and a long frilled embroidered skirt. Her beauty since last 5 yrs has been morph till such an extent that she can be rightly called the goddess of beauty. A beautiful scarf wrapped around her shoulders adding 2 her sober but enchanting look. That beautiful hair when it comes over her face lightens up it more precisely. When her eyes turn towards that old and loving voice it always made her lost in a new and different world...but indeed today the scene was different…

The guy was indeed one of the most handsome hunks she had ever met. He was dressed up in his usual old look but little modified. His muscular body was owned by a cool military colored T-shirt with a pair of jeans. He was same old person whom the girl knew who was always cool and still he looked too cool but a new expression was seen on his face a expression of guilt and consciousness ( may be due to his deeds).

They may be merely hardly few paces away from each other at present physically but emotionally and mentally there was a big age gap. It was indeed difficult to fill up but it wasn't impossible for our true lovers.

She again turned back. It was getting very difficult to face him. Don't know the queries which has filled her mind wasn't getting executed 2 be thrown on him. He was indeed feeling really guilty. He moved forward towards her. As and when he proceeded with one step her heartbeat would increase by 100times more. He was just a step away from her and that made her more conscious.

Finally he was there he spoke…

"Aashi…"

Gaining some confidence she turned around wiping her unfaithful tears and said...

"Yuvi stop over there I don't want to discuss about it which has changed my life taking it to some alien path"

For a minute yuvi wasn't able 2 say anything as he knew he was wrong since last 5 yrs especially when he left her whom he loved so much for some one else. But then he decided he wants his love back wants her back into his life wanst to redirect his mistake.

He grasped her hand got her closer to him which made skip her heartbeat.

She became too conscious. She wasn't able to figure out what she should to.

"Yuvi …." said Aashi

"Aashi shhh… just listen to me" said Yuvi

Her mind didn't wanted to be there anymore but her mind was indeed conquered by her heart which wanted to always stay with him her beloved.

Yuvi started…

"Aashi I know I have hurt you a lot. I had promised to be with you always whether it would be any situation. 5yrs ago was indeed the most dreadful day of your life and after 5yrs I too realized it was dreadful for me too. I was indeed carried away by false people whom at one time I trusted more then anyone. It was indeed my biggest mistake of life. But there wasn't one time also in my life when you didn't existed in my life. You always occupied one special corner in my heart which was always unnoticed by me since so many years. (Slowly aashi felt little comfortable in yuvi's arms specially after hearing her name in his life but yet she was deeply hurt).

{Yuvi continued after feeling wat must have aashi went through these years.}

Aashi I know you have suffered a lot since so many years only because of me. And I accept my mistake. I know I am not eligible for any kind of forgiveness. But god is a proof that how much I love you today, more then anyone. You mean a life to me. I am just like a body without a soul and that soul is you aashi. I know it's really difficult for you to rethink about our relationship after me ditching you and leaving you in middle of our relationship. I was really dumb to get attracted to those idiotic and unfaithful fantasies which have almost ruined my life. I was then bestowed with lot of faults by my inner soul telling me that how can you do this with a person who loved you more then anyone in her life. For whom you meant everything. For whom it was impossible to live with her better half.

(till now aashi had melted to a very large extent but there was one question in her mind i.e. except the love for her what was that one particular thing that made yuvi approach aashi that also after 5yrs. )

{Yuvi could sense what aashi wanted to ask but he kenw she would hesitate}

Aashi I know you would be thinking what made me and approach you again that also after 5yrs. You must have joined your life with some one else. But still my heart wasn't ready to accept that and after knowing about you I felt more guilty, feeling to kill myself. I knew that you must be atleast waiting for me, for me to answer that why did I left you at a very peak point of our relationship. These things got me here aashi. Today I m there in front of you, only for your answers and only for you aashi. Today you mean to me more then anything else as you are priceless for me. Because I really love you from deep of my heart. My every corner of the heart is bestowed with your name only.

There he stopped. There were tears in both of them's eyes. Aashi got all her answers and the most she got her yuvi back for whom she waited for ages. She knows he is guilty but at present the more significant is that yuvi loves her more then any one could ever love her.

Her lips moved finally again she only said five words…

The atmosphere was indeed now filled joy and only love. One of the most undefined love and one of the most priceless love. They hugged each other and didn't want to leave each other's company for ever.

A night which changed the life of some one…

Outside it was trembling atmosphere. As if gods were angry and all were having a war in the sky. But this atmosphere didn't bother anyone inside the hall where there was a great ceremony was on all people were enjoying to its fullest, but it did affected one particular person.

She wasn't able to figure out how could this happened and why did she agree upon this. Her feelings expressed as if she wanted to run away from there.

Three years ago an incident took place which affected two important souls. It was a mere misunderstanding created between them which resulted today in such a state. It was only due to those two devils who have ruined the life of these two souls. They tried everyway to get these souls separated and one unfaithful day they succeeded.

But today when she knows the truth she is helpless sitting idle in one corner with a person whom she doesn't love. She is cursing herself why didn't she listen to him after when he tried explaining her that he was innocent. But today it's too late when she realized her mistake. She was soon getting married and it was her sangeet function on.

She was sitting helpless and like a moaned statue pretending to be happy. But only her soul knew she wasn't happy she wanted him to be back in his life.

She excused herself for sometime. On asking she gave the reason she just want 2 get freshen up so going to the washroom. She was forced to take someone with her but somehow she managed alone to leave as she wanted to be alone and isolated for sometime.

Suddenly something struck her. She said to herself that yet it is not too late. She can still get him back into her life. She went out hired a cab and straight she is on her way to his house.

There he knew today it was her sangeet, was sitting alone in his big mansion (which he got after getting success and becoming one of the biggest and youngest business tycoons in such a short span). He had almost broken down. He said that why didn't she believed him even though he was true and how cans he think I could ever hurt her.

He started remembering those beautiful moments spent with her.

While he was lost in his thoughts a servant entered and told him some one has come to meet him. But he denied meeting that person. Then the servant said the person's name and he was shocked and surprised to hear that name. He hurried down the stairs but he halted when he saw the person.

Both were at separated by mere distance. He wasn't able to react as he didn't knew what should he say but she then proceeded towards him. When she was just few centimeters away from him she said…

"Ranveer Tia is really sorry. "

Ranveer was shocked sorry for what.

"Tia why are you asking for forgiveness."

And even Tia was a part of this fault that Tia could not trust you also. Tia was such a fool to leave you away without even listening to you, without giving you a chance. Tia is really is guilty Ranveer. When Tia got to knew about the truth Tia was shattered into pieces and Tia was cursing herself for being so unrealistic, rude and immature with you Ranveer. That was mere stupidity act by Tia and Tia is really sorry for that. Tia knows saying sorry wouldn't get take away the humiliation and insult that you suffered and Tia knows you wouldn't forgive Tia for this but it was necessary for Tia to accept the faults in front of that person who was accused falsely because… (She couldn't say those three magical words she was afraid that Ranveer might not accept her then)."

But as all knows Ranveer had always loved Tia still loved her and will always love her. Ranveer sensed what she wanted to say. (To mention here servant wasn't there hahahahahaha)

He moved forward took Tia's hand in his hand, Tia was sacred she slowly closed his eyes as when Ranveer moved towards her. Then Ranveer kissed her on his eyes and gave his answer for the forgiveness only in three magical words…

Tia opened her eyes and was shock to hear that Ranveer has no grudge against her as he still loves her a lot. She said…

"Ranveer did you forgive Tia."

"Tia I had never ever thought that you were wrong and I had once promised you that I would never leave you but certain unfortunate faiths arrived due to which I wasn't able to keep my promise but today I have got another chance how can I loose that chance Tia."

She had tears in her eyes. She was overjoyed and happy to get the love of her life back, she finally said…

'Whom are you talking about?"

'One Mr. Ranveer Sisodia.'

She jolted awake again, for the millionth time that week. Her hair was askew and sweat was running down her face. It was the same dream, the last time she had seen him before he was killed. She didn't even get to tell him how much she had loved him, how she loves him so much that it hurts her, both physically and mentally. She never got the chance before he was gone.

She knew sleep wasn't going to come again tonight. Instead she put on her robe and a pair of slippers and walked out of her room into the moonlit garden. It was his house.. he had given it to her in his will, and she, wanting to be close to him all the time, had accepted it. The house smelt of him, had an aura of him, everything about the house literally screamed out his name.

She kept on walking, shivering in the cold, when she heard a distinct voice, "Schadenfreude."

She turned around to look who it was, but there was no one. Dismissing it as her misconception, she kept on walking. This time the voice was louder.. "Schadenfreude."

"Tia." She turned so fast, that she almost fell down on the ground, and that's when she saw him standing there.

"How are you?" she couldn't reply, how could she? It was her best friend, and she couldn't lie to him, him of all people.

"Tia," he whispered again, "I know you're in pain, Tia, but you need to let go. Let go of him, and move on. He's memory now, you can't bring back the dead, remember that."

She looked up at him, and saw his hair falling on his face slightly, and as he raised her chin upwards towards him, she understood what he was saying was true.

She couldn't bring back the dead.

She needed to let go.

She was in pain.

She had to move on.

She saw him smile, and one small part of her heart came alive again, after what seemed like decades. And she didn't object when he took her in his arms. She didn't object when he tenderly kissed her forehead. She felt almost safe, not like with him, but almost safe. Misery needed company, she mused, and for now it was okay. She was okay. She saw him smile, as he murmured into her hair, "Taking pleasure from other people's pain."

And she understood.

"Schadenfreude."

"Schadenfreude."

She gazed up, hoping to find the answer there, and she heard it even louder this time.

"Schadenfreude." The voice sounded suspiciously like him, and for the first time in a long time, she smiled. A true smile. As she fazed up again, she could see him and she heard the word again. This time she licked her lips and mumbled back, "Schadenfreude." The vision disappeared, and as she let herself relax in his arms, she knew that he approved.

She would never ever forget the word which changed her life..

"Cheers dude!" his friend said.

"Hey thanx man. Wow dude...you rock..thanx a lot for the beers!" They clinked their cans of beer together and Yuvi took a swig from his. Man...life was good. They were sitting at the entrance...watching the rain, which was pretty heavy.

"Anyways yuvi...gotta go man...havta meet my girl in half an hour. See you later."

"Bye...n thanks for the beer mate!" Yuvi waved to his friend and then resumed sitting down and thinking. He was just enjoying the feel of the fine spray of rain on his face. His reverie was interrupted by a loud splashing coming from the general direction of the gate He squinted his eyes and could make out a blur coming towards the school.Further inspection revealed that it was none other than ashi....

Ashi was in a terrific mood. She had forgotten to take an umbrella to the party and now suddenly it had started pouring. Her mom had told her to take one of course but she had refused to look like a total idiot with it. She might have taken one if she had paid any heed to the sky but then again it was not really her fault.

It was all her dear sweet mother's fault that she had hardly paid any attention to anything after said dear sweet mother had decided her outfit for the party. Sonia Ray might have a lot of qualities...but agreeing with her daughter was not one of them Ashi had been forced to wear a white tee over a pink skirt...a pink skirt!!!

Apart from the fact that she totally detested the color...it clashed horribly with her hair. On top of that she was wearing leather boots...which were all soggy with water.Running through a downpour hadn't exactly helped matters.

Yes...she was really in a real terrific mood........

Yuvi coughed on his drink staring at her running towards him. In all his Maurya days, he hadn't ever seen an ashi more pissed off than now. He grinned.....this was going to be great...a pissed off red head was exactly what he needed now...He took another swig from is can...a plan formulating inside his mind.

Finally! Ashi thought..she had made it, almost to the school. She had just stepped on the first step when she saw Yuvi sitting there, beer can in hand, staring at her. He seemed to be drunk.

"Heeyyyy ashiii...what're you doing here???" he asked slurring his words.

"Perfect! Just what I need to complete this beautiful beautiful day!" she said.

"You look..er...well...!"

"Why thank you so much Yuvraj! What would I do without you!"

He stood up and moved towards her. As he did so...he noticed that she was completely drenched...her hair all over her face and shoulders...her tee sticking to her...her skirt going weirdly with her hair...and her face already furious...and he hadn't even done anything!
To Yuvi she had never been more alluring.

Ashi didn't like the scrutiny over her appearance and ignored him moving instead towards the interior of the school entrance.

"Heyy...wait for mee..." he said and pretended to fall down. Ashi whirled round and tried to steady him. But the steps had become really slippery due to the rain and before she give him a hand...he fell...this time for real.
Ashi slapped a hand to her forehead. Yuvi groaned...'ok maybe that had not been in the plan.'

"Oww..ashii help me..pleasee...!!!" Ashi sighed and counted to three. 'Why do I always get stuck with him?!' she thought. She descended the steps to go and help him. H was still lying flat on the ground...getting drenched as well.

Why does he have to get drunk so much?' she thought. As she leaned down to pull him up...her wet hair strands fell across him. Yuvi held his breathe...and closed his eyes as ashi somehow pulled him up the steps...she straightened him and started guiding him slowly. He slowly let out the breathe he had been holding in.

He pretended to stumble a little so that he could keep his head on her shoulder...he was now totally leaning on her....she smelled of the rain...
Ashi was feeling decidedly uncomfortable...since Yuvi's nose was touching her neck and each time he breathed...her own breath would hitch.

Finally she stopped and slowly detached herself from him...

"Yuvi...now come on...walk with me..." He didn't answer but was watching her with a hazy smile on his drunk but otherwise cute face.

Now where did that come from? she hastily suppressed the thought.

"Come ON..!" she said irritatedly pulling him along, "tumhein itna drink karne ki kya zaroorat thi...psycho! Tum khud toh useless ho...mujhe bhi marwaoge! Ek toh this stupid skirt! And that rain! Mumma...am gonna kill you just lemme reach you! And why are you smiling Mr. drunkard?!"

He smiled and pulled her towards him and wrapped his arms around her.
"Bcoz you look too cute when you're angry," saying so he kissed her. Ashi felt her irritation slipping away as she started losing herself in the kiss...

Finally she pushed him back. "Yuvi...what the hell? Get back." she pushed him back further.

"Aww come on babes!!!" he said pulling her again.

Then she looked at him properly. "You...you're not even drunk are you? You were pretending!!!" She said thwapping him with her hands.

"All right all right...I was..I was!"

"You idiot..you made me almost carry you till here!"

"Ok so I pretended to be a lil drunk.."
"Little???"

"Ok...too much drunk...I just wanted to kiss you ok? Its so rare to kiss a girl in a pink skirt..." she narrowed her eyes.

"Ok...a red head in a pink skirt...nice combo by the way.." she had her hands on her hips now...."plus u were...err....drenched...and angry" he said coming closer..."completely irresistible...."

was pretty obvious for whole universe to see......by now mp nd vrinda had almost gone crazy seeing ashi in this state........ashi had started behaving like a timbo....blushing n giglling n worst nt uttering a word......wenever they asked her sumthing she just smiled......mp was really worried ......on the other hand vrinda was quite happy to see ashi this

started eating vanilla ice cream?? n y do u want 2 cups??n if u want them so badly we can go rite now.....its break time.......evening tak wait kyu karni hai??.....n b4 he cud cont his non-stop questionare ne more.....yuvi poured a glass of water on his head n now sid was really stunned......n in a very serious tone he asked uv ....."wats wrong wid u bro? ru alright?" uv burst out laffing..........."yeh anvesha banerjee ray ke side effects hai"....he said wid the hugest smile on his face ..... now sid had completely lost it......n he dint even

she met him at the corridor as decided........coincidently even yuvi was wearing red......(n y wudnt it b red?red was the colour of
love afterall.....nd love was soo much in the air!!) they both laughed luking at each other......wearing the same colour....." hey bhaggu we both look like sum sleezy hindi movie filmsatrs who wud ne moment break into a song n start dancing around the trees.....wearing matching clothes !!!" she commented...... uv jus laughed......n ashi too was relieved tht finally after a whole day of "timboing" she was back to her normal self........uv held her hand n started taking her sumwhere.....ashi quitely let him take her......she knew he obviously was taking her to their favourite place.....the SHED!!! bt uv had sum other plans this time......ashis silence only broke wen they
walked past the shed......she asked him again n again wher they were going......bt yuvi preffered to just giv her a luk nd a smile.......nd
tht was more than enuff 4 ashi to trust him .....she din ask him nething else then......

finally they reached their destination......ashi was speechless luking at the sight......he had bought her to mauryas terrace......she had never known ne place in whole of maurya cud luk so beautiful.......this time ther were no balloons....no hearts.....no flowers ....no candles......none of the things which she had expected yuvi to arrange........all she cud see was an empty terrace a table n two chairs.......uv pulled out a chair 4 her n she sat down.......the moon had cum out by now.....n the stars were shinning
brightly.......ther was no need 4 ne other light.......the weather wasnt breezy bt still was pleasant n cool........on the table ther was no champagne or soft drinks ......rather ther were two cups of ice-cream....... her favourite vanilla ice cream wid fresh strawberries on it.......he knew she luved it.......he fed her the first spoon of ice cream nd even tho it was very mushy n so nt sumthing she wud do otherwise....bt still she did feed him back wid another spoon of her ice-cream.....they silently finished both the cups of ice creams
luking at each other......n seriosuly ther was no place 4 words in tht moment.....after they had finished.....yuvi bought his guitar
which he had kept in a corner of the terrace......bt before playing he said " im sorry ashi i cudnt get a music system here....this place
was too risky.....jumbos room is just below .....bt i sumhow managed to get u here.....i wanted to bring u here!!! so we cant dance......bt definately can hav sum music".....he said with a wink....... she got up from the chair......went close to him n said....."uv thers no need for nething else here……
this is best date u hav ever arranged 4 me........thers nothing articial or fake here.........everything is natural…. real n true ......just as my
feelings 4 u.......nd who says we dont hav a music system here? i hav the world best music player rite in front of me......n its of the
pyschotic brand u see"......she said tht wid her typical wicked smile.......uv acted a lil upset coz she called him a music system........he turned
his face away from her.......bt then only she knew how her psychotic system functioned......she gav him a tight hug .....n thts was wat
he was waiting for.....

this date was really special......ther was nuthing fancy abt it........the only decorators this time were the bright colourful stars.....n the moonlight nd a few clouds here n ther……who were all doing a great job by the way.....they both sat down on the terrace floor .....ashi cuddled up in his arm ....n rested her head on his shoulder.....n yuvi slowly played the strings of his guitar......he began singing her a slow version of bryan adams cloud no 9...... (slow n soft...... making sure no1 else except them cud hear)

Ashi was sitting between friends, trying hard to laugh and be happy…but the numbness of defeat was hard to ignore. She was so sure that she would win but maybe she had been over confident because in the end she was defeated by the dirty politician and his equally dirt filled dirty son.

Ashi screamed at herself, "Urggg! Don't think about him Anvesha else u would get psycho maniac syndrome."
"Ashi aap weekend pe kya kar rahi hai?" Ranveer asked cheerfully, trying to cheer her mood.
Ashi rolled her eyes and replied, "skeletons ka exhibition lagane ka soch rahi hun… but mujhe mera master piece skull chahiye…Yuvraj Dev! Can u get it for me?"
Ranveer spilled his drink and looked at her with angry eyes telling, "hey bhaggu! Ashi, aapka koi kuch nahi kar sakta."
Ashi just gave him a wicked smile and was about to go for a small private walk when sid came screaming towards them, "Ranveer! Ranveer! uv ka accident ho gaya hai and he is serious please mere saath chalo."
Ranveer got shocked and replied, "Whaaat? ye aap kya keh rahe hai banaa… aap theek to hai?" Ashi replied, "Duh-uh Thakur! Tum kis idiot pe apna time waste kar rahe ho? Ye iska aur iske super floozy dost ka koi aur plan hoga… hum sabko bewakoof bana ne ka but you know what Sid? Apne friend se ja ke keh do ki ab usse ye saare cheap games khelne ki zaroorat nahi hai coz he has won his first dirty politics and I certainly hope he wins much more!" with that she banged the chair and buzzed off fuming with hatred and anger.

"I can't believe that I actually trusted that loser…that good for nothing psychotic pigeonhead! How could I even think that he would be different from his dad! How could I ever believe that he had some substance worth in him! How could I ever give him some space in my already heavily crowded heart! Urgg… Ashi get a life and for bhaggu's sake stop thinking of that perfectly waste creation of bhaggu!" she thought and returned to Maurya after her walk which was filled with nothing but the thoughts of yuckraj. She was surprised to find Maurya so dead and silent. She went to the canteen to gobble something up but the empty silence shrieked and stunned her. Just then a very solemn Ranveer, Tia, and Vrinda appeared. Their looks told her that she was about to witness something evil.

She asked, "Hey bhaggu! Tum thakur… tum kya is cindrelaa ko grave yard le gaye the…for the date? tum log aise lag rahe ho jaise kissy bhoot se bhaag ke aaye ho. umm waise thakur a bhoot would have been a better choice than a doll house…"

"Ashi…" ranveer said coming to her and hugging her tightly. He broke down and just said, "Ashi…Yuvi…" with that he left and Tia fallowed suit. Vrinda came and sat besides her friend, Ashi, who was unable to believe what she had heard…
"Maate…" she said in a soft whisper, seeking confirmation of the news and vrinda just nodded her head asking, "tum jaogi?" "Hunn…" ashi did as she was unable to comprehend what was being directed at her!
"Tum usse milne jaogi?" asked vrinda again.
"umm… umm… Main kyun jaon? Mujhe kya farak padta hai… I am not going anywhere… ye sab natak hai…I know it! Kal subah wo apni stupid girlfriend ke upar droll karta hoa nazar aayega!"
Vrinda replied, "Ashi… he's serious…shayed kal tumhe usse bye bolne ka bhi time na mile…" and with that she left ashi gulping the fear which was tightening her throat…

Hours passed unnoticed and Ashi was too busy remembering that one day…when she had first realized that cupid had hit her hard in the form of Yuvi. It was not that he had suddenly changed from being a monster to a rock star, neither had he given her any bunch of roses or boxes of chocolates. All he had done was sleep soundly and peacefully with his guitar clutched in his hand so tightly as if fearing someone would snatch it away from him. Even in his dreams she was mesmerized by this site of his.

His locks were all strewn and his eyes closed in the serenity of sleep. She did not remember witnessing something so pure and at that moment she knew that she had fallen heels over head for the one man who send her irritation meter to searing heights. She had blushed deeply at this realization and she was unable to resurrect whether it was just a realization or her acceptance of this fact which was on denial till now.

She had gone to him and very lightly had run her small fingers through his hair as if soothing him from all his worries. Aah but she had till now prided of being his greatest pain. She had touched his closed eyes in an attempt to comprehend what they actually reflected and she had tried to free him from his guitar but the moment she touched it he woke up in panic, "What… woo… wackoooooo tum pagal ho kya?" he shouted through his sleep "tumhe kitny baar kaha hai that stay away from my guitar… tumhe smajh kyun nahi aata? Mujhe zebras ki language nahi aaty wacko else I would have told u in your language… am warning u ashi, mere guitar se dur raho and thaanx… tumne meri pamila andreson ko kiss karne ke sapne ko beech main hi destroy kar diya… tum dreams main bhi logoon ko itna kyun daraty ho?" as he finished saying…ashi just made a face and said "ye koi tumahre dad ka private lounge nahi hai jo tum yahaan snor kar rahe ho…..apni pamila… ramila ko lekar yahaan se jao… and btw even ur sight is also so damn irritating!"
Yuvi rolled his eyes and left too sleepy to fight with her and of course his pamila was waiting for him. Ashi couldn't believe that she had fallen in love with this nincompoop and said to herself, " Duh-uh! Have I lost it finally?"

The ticking of the clock forced her back into reality. She was shocked at the unpredictable turn life had taken. Only this morning she had seen him with his porcupine girl friend and had wished his happy face would vanish into ozone layer. And now at this very hour he was fading away into the darkness of the black sky.

She wasn't even aware of how she managed to reach him. All she remembered was that there was a deep sense of regret within her. A regret for having fought with him always with the confidence and belief that in the end she would belong to him. But life never gave her a second chance as her ego had not given him one. The days which could have turned into moments that made her skip a beat and tilt her lips in their soft glory, now ended in a night that left her standing outside his hospital room.

She dreaded the sight which would be held her in the hauntingly white and colorless room but to her amazement she found herself being mesmerized yet again…

Her eyes had to pass through a cobweb of machines and tubes to reach his solemn face. He was sleeping just like that day…eyes closed in a soft enfold holding his agony and breathe very slow yet rhythmic to sing the song of his pain.

This very instant she knew that she would love him the way she had always done. Life was mortal but this wacked out feeling of love was beyond eternity. All she lost was that one moment when he too would have declared his claim over her soul. She had always dreamt of him shouting out to her the three words that symbolized their love 'WACKO GET LOST' and she knew it would turn real someday…But alas! All dreams weren't meant to be real and the fazing of this one was taking the light of her life.

She gripped the window frame to stand still and pleaded him with watery eyes to rebuke her, abuse her, or just to say one simple wacko, but all she got back was the reverberating sound of silence and death.

She turned to go back to the shallow life that lay ahead but she stopped at something which her eye tabs recognized instantly. It was his guitar which had been his soul. His blood, strength, character and every single thing. Trillions and zillions of crazy fights over this very piece of metal zoomed in front of her and suddenly her knees felt too weak to stand her shattering pain. She reached out for the sealed packet which contained numerous pieces of his guitar and she knew that her fate was sealed from here on. She knew that she was loosing him as his soul had fallen apart.

Suddenly in the stillness of the night, she heard her own desperate howls cursing the mockery of life and frantically trying to arrange the shambles of his life in the shape of his soul but she failed again and instead landed up with a tiny ring which was his first birthday gift for her… and maybe his last…

She looked at the ring and again was mesmerized with the unsaid bond that bonded to souls and she knew that her dream had turned real and hearts might stop beating but the blossoms of this love would remain in the air and certainly she would feel it everywhere.

She gathered all the pieces of her life and walked towards the door which led her to her mumma so that she could wait for the sun to rise in the abode of her secure arms…

Today, Tia Ahuja, did something very unusual. She smiled. Now I know, you're wondering what the big deal is with smiling. Especially if you're as pretty as Tia, and have such white teeth which you do not forget to brush daily, smiling is a gift. But then again, this is Tia Ahuja you are talking about. She rarely smiles.

But today she did. And there was a special reason too, if it were me or you, we would've smiled as well. As usual she got up in the morning, quite early, if I might add, and went to work. Delving into files and folders of paperwork which she had yet to complete, she had completely forgotten that it was late in the afternoon when her stomach grumbled. Sighing, she got up and went to get some food from a store nearby, and took it to the nearby hillside area.

She liked that place, there were small mounds of hill, and lush greenery which was very peaceful. There was always a calm breeze going on there, which always made one very safe and comfortable. Especially on a day like this, when it was bright and sunny, the scenic beauty surrounding her was enthralling. She looked up to see a dove flying; doves were sign of peace. She looked up at the dove, enjoying its chaste and pure white color when she heard someone clearing their throat behind her.

"Fancy seeing you here,"

She groaned loudly, so loudly that she didn't even bother to suppress it as she turned around, "Why? I mean why are you here disturbing my peace, Ranveer?"

He smirked, his infamous devilish smirk that sent shivers down her spine. "The thing is, Tia, the thing is that I don't know why I am here. You see I was just going around this place, and then I thought I saw this hillside, and I decided to come here. Well actually--"

"Ranveer."

"actually, I thought that maybe by coming here--"

"RANVEER!"

"What?"

"You're rambling. Stop it, it is being incessantly annoying. And would you be kind enough to remove yourself from my presence?"

"Aww.. Come on, I cant be that bad, can I? I mean I am, after all, only a guy who hasn't even reached 25. Can't I just stand here with the incredibly sexy girl beside me?"

She looked up at him, really really looked up at him. His eyes were black, almost black and they were glittering with hidden mischief or sincerity, she didn't know. His face was clean shaven and his shirt had a button open on top. She was glad to see that he was not hairy, she hated hairy men. His hair was parted right in the middle, and it fell over his face in waves. His teeth were dazzlingly white, and as she felt the gaze of his eyes on her, she did something very uncharacteristic. She blushed.

And he noticed it.

"Dear me.! Is Tia blushing? Dear me, I think you may like me, dear."

She quickly glanced up, before denying it as fast as possible. "No I do no such thing, Ranveer."

"Tee-Tee, are you sure that you don't have a crush on me?"

She blushed again, she herself felt the warmth reach her cheeks before he gave a whoop.

"I don't love you Ranveer."

"Love? Who said anything about love? I was just merely--"

"For God's sake Ranveer, stop it. I don't love such a reptilistic skunk like you. You are such an insufferable, and a poor excuse of a man. Not to mention, half man – half camel." She finished quite lamely.

"But you do." He drawled in a sexy voice, which sent her heart rate to a complete massacre, "But you do have a crush on me, despite my being a reptilistic skunk, and an insufferable and poor excuse for a man. Why, Tia Ahuja, I believe that you are head over heels in love with me."

That was when it happened. That was exactly when her hand came up and left a very stinging print on his cheek. In short, she slapped him.

"Don't dare speak of me in that way. I don't love you, and never ever will I even think of lovi--"

she was cut off right there, because he kissed her. It wasn't forceful, no not at all, he kissed her quite gently, in fact. Yet it had an amazing amount of lust and passion in it, and before long she could feel herself succumbing to the kiss. He pulled her closer and her body relaxed under his touch. And after what felt like bliss, they pulled away, gasping for breath. He started kissing her neck, knowing that it was a sensual area for any girl as he whispered, "I like you too, you know Tia. I like you too. So what do you say we make this official? Me, you, us together?"

She didn't respond as he continued to kiss her neck, trailing kisses down her back until she moaned in pleasure. Instead she did something quite unusual, she smiled.

Anvesha Banerjee Ray was not happy. And she had good reason not to be. It was all her mother's fault, now that she came to think about it. Not that she particularly wanted to spend her vacations with her mother, but compared to current circumstances, it certainly seemed like a piece of heaven.

"Hey Wacko." She groaned as the deranged freak with severe mental problems, otherwise known as Yuvraj Dev, passed by her. Yes, you guessed it right, her refusal to spend the vacations with her mother had resulted into spending them with Yuvraj. At first, she had thought that it wasn't so bad, considering that she got to ski day and night. Apparently, God had some other plans for her. And who could defy God? No one.

So here she was, sitting on the grass, randomly playing her guitar, where she could've been skiing if the snow hadn't melted. She wasn't the only one, lots of people were extremely angry at Weather-God for melting the snow at such an ungodly time, but her compatriot was ecstatic. Not only did he get more scope to tease her, she was too angry to retort.

Speaking of whom, he just had to come and sit beside her.

"Hey Wacko," he grinned, "Anything new?"

"No, Yuvi. Why don't you go do something?" she retorted half-heartedly.

"Nothing to do." He shrugged cheerfully.

"Really,?" she retorted, "Well, I heard cliff jumping is really popular nowadays, you should try that."

As he stared open-mouthed, she stuffed some grass in his mouth and smiled, "This is for blocking the flies out, Yuvraj."

"Hey!" he managed to mumble through the grass, spitting them out in the process, but by then she was long gone.

It was ten minutes later when she felt herself being strangulated by the previously mention deranged loser with sever mental problems. She struggled to get him off, but he was much stronger than she had estimated.

"PSYCHO!" she yelled, "GET OFF!"

"Oh yeah? That will not happen, darling."

"Yuvi, get off my neck at once. Hell, you're killing me."

"Well, that was my aim. Good to see that you got it."

"Psycho?"

"Yes, sweetie?"

"GET OFF"

"Hmm.. how about NO?"

"Look, Yuvi, let's solve this calmly. Get off my neck."

"No, let's resolve this while I'm in the process of strangulating you."

"Yuvi, I – gasp- can't-gasp-breathe."

"…."

"Ashi?"

"…."

"ASHI?"

"…."

"Fine, here, see, now you're off and can breathe. What's wrong?"

"You wacko."

"Are you calling me a man, Mr. Octopus?"

"It depends. Are you calling yourself "she", Mr. Man?"

"Don't worry, I think a moustache would look really good on you."

"Yuvi, how dare you? You just stomp in here and insult every part of my body--"

That was when the unbelievable happened, He kissed Her.

"And do that." she finished.

He looked up at her and grinned closely, "Actually I still haven't insulted your lips, and eyes and ears and---"

"Shut the hell up and kiss me again."

He gladly obliged.

As he wrapped her near himself, and felt her hugging him tightly, he took a moment to look down at her closed eyes and flushed lips. He bent down to kiss her again, and she grinned. In his opinion, she looked beautiful, just wrapped up in his arms, with slightly glazy eyes filled with light.

At a distance, the first flakes of snow began to fall.

Ashi sat down on her bed....lost in thought...sitting beside her window sill and holding her pumpkin in her hand. She was still thinking about what Yuvi had told her that day...

"You know...I have all the music CDs of Bryan Adams...all...you just name any and you'll get it!" he had declared proudly.

"Oh you mean I will get it if I just name it??? Okayyyy then..lemme see...I want Reckless, Into the Fire, 18 till I die, Room Service-"

"Excuse me?! Mera kya dimaag satak gaya hai...jo main tum jaisi wacko ko mere precious CDs dunga?? ha ha...you...you have really got one screw dheela you know!" Yuvi said laughing.

"Oh really...Yuvi...you really want to repeat that???" Ashi said about 10 paces away from Yuvi and holding a bunch of about 10 cds in her hand which she was clattering away noisily.
"Anvesha...no! Those CDs are precious..get away from them!" Yuvi said lunging after her.

"Gladly," Ashi said and made a show of throwing them away. Yuvi ran after her but she got away at the last moment. He chased her throughout the shed getting closer and closer but never managing to catch her everytime.

"Hey yuvi, did I tell you I used to win the 100 metres races in my old school everytime...you don't want to chase me" ashi said teasingly.

"Main tumhein 100 cms mein hi pakad lunga!" Yuvi shouted out. And saying so he gave a final leap and somehow crashed into her sending them both crashing into the storage boxes kept in the shed. The resulting mess was ashi and yuvi lying in a mound of boxes and some weird spongy thing it contained.

"See wacko...I caught you..no one can escape Yuvraj Dev!" Yuvi said smugly. Ashi couldn't help but notice that his breathe was coming out in gasps and she could feel them...they were so close...his eyes were a deep black....which sparkled in his enthusiasm. She wondered how she had not noticed this before.
The she shook herself and Yuvi who was a bit lost too, got up. He gave her a hand and but she pulled him down and then stod up herself, grinning at him...and ran out of the shed...saying,"Mujhe pakadna itna asaan nahin hain Yuvi!!!"

"Wacko! This isn't fair!"


"Ashi! Yahaan window pe baithke so gayi?! Marna chaahti ho kya?" said MP shaking her.

"MP...MP...MP!!! What am I going to do about you??? When a person sits beside the window...he's not sleeping! He's thinking...you know...yahaan...tumharein sar mein something called as a "brain" is there?" Ashi said. MP rolled her eyes.

"Bas..itna drama karne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai! Ab chalo...khaane ke liye jaana hai! Come ON!" MP dragged her out of the room. They had just sat down to eat when her cell phone suddenly rang. Making an impatient gesture, she took it out.

"Ashi! Come on! I need you here! Quick!"

"And hello to you too psycho!" Ashi said, "Tumhein kisine time management nahin sikhaayi hai kya? Mere dinner ke time hi tumhein phone karna hai???"

"Ashi please cut all the crap and get here quick!" Yuvi urgently.

"Here..where???" Ashi said irritated.

"Here means...mere dad ke office ke yahaan...you remember wahaan pe ek restaurant hain called Greens? wahin pe," Yuvi explained.

"Par baat kya hai psycho??"

"You remember....public ke liye...hum dono...we're supposed to be dating?? Toh dad ke kisi dost ke saath meeting hai aur woh hum dono ko wahaan chahte hai..so come quickly NOW!"

"Ok baba...ab fake he-man ke liye mujhein bhi fake lies bolni pad rahi hai" ashi said and she cut off the line before Yuvi could protest any further.

Ashi reached the spot there and met Yuvi, his dad and his friend. ashwant Dev was very pleased to see that Yuvi's girlfriend was such a sensible girl and Ashi lost no time in making use of this opportunity to make herself shine in YD's eyes and and take down Yuvi a peg or two.😆 YD's friend was quite affable and the dinner passed away very fast...Yuvi even managing to drink some vodka which his father could not object to as his friend himsef had forced them to order it.

Ashi and Yuvi were now coming back towards Maurya after getting a letter signed by YD explaining that he had called them. It was very late and they were lucky they had the letter or else Jumbo would have skinned them alive.

"So Yuvi...where is my 'thank you'???" Ashi said.

"Thank you? For what?" Yuvi asked..a lil tipsy from the drinking spree.

"For helping you, you dolt!" Ashi said irritated.

"Oh yeah that...aah yeshh...thanksshh a lot ashhiii..." Yuvi said slurring his words. Ashi slapped her forehead. She steadied Yuvi, receiving an electric jolt as she touched him. She jumped back for a second and looked at her fingers, then at Yuvi, confusedly. She shook her head, linked her hands with Yuvi, resolutely ignoring the second jolt she felt. She marched him towards the school.

For Yuvi meanwhile, it was a lot more hazy around him. He tried to focus on the road ahead of him but couldn't do so. He shook his head and tried to sharpen the fuzzines that he was seeing. Finally his gaze landed on the red head beside him and he smiled. They had entered the school grounds now and Ashi stopped and took out her arm which had been supporting yuvi till now...

Yuvi grabbed at her hand...and she looked at him wondering what had happened to him.

"Yuvi...you psycho...jaao...boys hostel wahaan hain...go...before anyone realises that you're drunk!" Ashi said trying to free her hand from his grasp.

"Oh come onnnnnn...ashiii....some more time!" Yuvi said, pulling her to him. Suddenly all ashi could do was stand there..frozen...

"Some more time???" she asked him

"Yeahhh...." Yuvi said coming still closer so that they were standing almost nose to nose. Ashi suddenly was noticing things about him....which would have annoyed her before....the way he was smelling of a mixture of aftershave and vodka...the way his eyes could stare at you even when he was drunk and dizzy....the way his hair was falling all over his eyes and yet making him look so cute...the way his lips were curved into a slight smile making him look so....

Ashi pushed him back...lil stunned at herself. Suddenly she wanted to be as far away from his as possible....so she pushed him gently towards the boys hostel. Yuvi squeezed her hand which made her stomach do a flip flop.

"Bye wacko!" Yuvi said giving her a cheery wave. She nodded and then went back towards her room. As she sta down on her bed....she thought, 'Yuvraj Dev???'

'Noo..' she thought at the next instance. Then she looked at her hand which had been linked with his throughout their walk back to the school. It was still tingling....

Ashi was standing with MP and Vrinda the next day, still sleepy. She was still in "thinking" mode and MP and Vrinda had given up talking to her long ago as it was best to leave Ashi when she was like this, unless you wanted a sarcastic remark thrown at you.

Ashi was picturising Yuvi in her mind...he was short....with a super ego...a flirt...and the way his hair fell into his eyes was annoying, she decided. There was no way anything was going to change relating to Yuvi...

'He would be the same irritating psycho...' she thought satisfied, 'and she would always be forever annoyed with him.'

Just then a girl on the next table squealed excitedly, "Look, there's Yuvi!" Ashi looked around and there was Yuvi...
He didn't even glance at the girl...but grinned at Ashi.

Suddenly she couldn't stop staring.....

There he was in the shed…sitting down on the dusty floor and thinking intently about the next day…the day of the results…i.e the results of the election for the Maurya High students' council leader. His eyes blazed with a fire; he wanted so much to win…to prove to everyone that he was the best…that he could pull this off single-handedly…

Then he thought of his competitor…his rival…the one who annoyed and irritated him so much…and also the one who, he had to grudgingly admit, had given him a hell of a fight. Still, 'I will win,' he thought and he was confident that he would. He had worked hard for it and he was sure that his campaign had successfully won him the votes of the students.

'Well, tomorrow will be showtime,' he thought and then smiled grimly.

"Oh, toh Mr. Kam akkal yahaan pe baithe hain!" said a taunting voice which he knew very well, he did not even have to look up to know it was her. He immediately stood up and glared at her.

"Anvesha, tum yahaan kya kar rahi ho? Can't you just get the hell out of here?"

"Hey bhaggu! Mujhe nahin pata tha ki yeh tumhaara playground hain…I didn't know ki tumhaare dad ne iss shed ko bhi khareed liya hain!" Ashi said, making a face at him.

"What? Wacko, what do you mean by that?" Yuvi asked angrily.

"Hey bhaggu! Mujhe pata toh tha kit um dumb ho par mujhe yeh nahin pata tha ki tumhaari dumbness ka meter itna upar tak jaa sakta hain!"

"Wacko, waise bhi tum half the time non sense bakti rehti ho…now tell what you want to tell, taaki mujhe tumhaari iss idiotic, wacked out shakal ko zyaada time dekhni nahin padegi!!"

"Oh….jaise tumhaari shakal itni acchi hain! Shayad tumne mirror mein apna face nahin dekha hain! Do you know what you look like? A BIG, CRAZY BEAR!!!"

"WACKO…" and Yuvi looked at her as if he would dearly like to kill her. He had balled his fist and for one moment it looked as though he would actually punch her.

Then he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

Finally he said in a would be calm voice, "Anvesha, what do you want? Jaldo bako and just get OUT OF HERE!!!" He finally looked at her. Ashi had folded her arms and was looking calmly at him, smirking, clearly unimpressed by his outburst.

"Well, main bas tumhe "Best of Luck" kehne aayi thi….you know why? Because you will need it! Kal tumhe pata chalega ki Anvesha Bannerjee Ray kya cheez hain."

"OH…really?! Mujhe pata hain ki Anvesha blah blah blah kya hain…ek rang-birangi, tedhi medhi JOKER! Aur as far as good luck is concerned, uski tumhein zyaada zaroorat hain…kyunki elections main jeetne waala hoon. Just watch out tomorrow!"

"Look who's talking! Ek baat batao…tumhaare campaign ke liye tumhaare politician dad ne kitne logo ko bribe kiya?" Ashi asked sarcastically.

"What do you mean huh? Yeh saari preparations maine ki hain…ismein mere dad ka koi haath nahin hain," Yuvi said, now a bit defensive.

"Oh really…aur woh saare tricks jo tumne play kiye…logo ke votes ke liye? Unka kya? Mujhe pata hain…who tumhaare dad ke hi devilish ideas honge!" Ashi said, a bit serious now....

Before he could make any retort, she continued.

"Yuvi…why can't you do anything on your own for once?"

"Oh really, ab mujhe tumhaara lecture sunna padega? Main bhi tumhein ek advice deta hoon…apna yeh bada sa mouth band rakhna…atleast mere saamne toh…kyunki mujhe tumhaari inn ridiculous baatein sunne mein koi interest nahin hain! Mujhein bahut kaam hain…jaise ki mujhe ready hona hain…kal meri victory celebrate karne ke liye," Yuvi said in one breathe.

"Wow! Tumhein kya kisi astrologer ne bataaya hain ki kal tum jeetne waale ho?"

"Mujhe kisi astrologer ki koi zaroorat nahin hain…I know that I'm gonna win…it's so obvious…koi tum jaise wacko ko kyun vote dega?"

"For your information, public poll main mujhein zyaada votes mile!" Ashi replied, smirking.

"Tab…aur aaj main bahut pharak hota hain wacko. Public poll ke baad, mere rocking ideas and even more rocking parties ke wajah se, I'm more popular than you."

"Wow yuvi, tum ekdum Hitler part-2 ban rahe ho!" ashi said, shaking her head.

Yuvi looked at her, confused and then rolled his eyes.

"Mujhe tumhaari yeh weirdo baaein zara bhi samajh mein nahin aa rahi hain!" Yuvi said in a sing song voice.

"Ab thodi hi der mein Yashwant Dev ke political party mein ek naya member aa jaayega…woah…yuvraj dev! Mujhe toh lagta hain ki tumhein aaj se hi netaji bulana shuru kar dena chaahiye!"

"SHUT UP!!!" He screamed at her; he was shaking with anger now. Maybe it was because, he last sentence had hit home a bit too hard…he never wanted to become a pawn in his father's "army"…

"Don't try to poke your nose into my life," he said, his eyes blazing with anger…

Ashi was shocked and a bit scared but she was hardly going to show him that she was scared. So she rolled her eyes at him. That if possible, made him angrier.

He grabbed her by the shoulders and brought his face close to hers and said, with controlled anger, "You.just. stay.away.from.me," For a moment Ashi was really frightened of him, as she had only once been before…

Yuvi was still holding her by her shoulders and their faces were very close…he could feel her breath on his face... He could feel his anger ebbing away to be replaced by a new emotion…one which he could not describe…their closeness was making him crazy…so he did the only thing that was making sense right now: he kissed her.

For a moment, ashi was shocked and completely frozen…and that was all the time he needed to deepen the kiss. Now even if she had wanted, she could not have pulled away from him.

He wrapped his hands around her and she felt herself melting into his arms…she forgot where she was…she did not know when her hands wrapped themselves around his neck....the only thing which she could feel was that she wanted this kiss to go on forever…

For how long they continued like this, wrapped up in each other, they didn't know. It seemed like an eternity after they broke apart. Yuvi stared at her…her eyes were still closed and the sliver of moonlight falling on her face made her look more beautiful than ever. Ashi opened her eyes and immediately all the memories came flooding back to her…all the time they had spent together…how he was the only one who could make her blush…how happy she had been then…

But she also remembered how heart-broken she had been when she had found out about the bet…how much she had cried…it had felt like the end of the world for her…

She suddenly moved away and turned back. Yuvi who had been gazing at her, all this time, immediately pulled her back. He cupped her face in his hands and looked at her.

He could hardly believe that just mere moments ago, he had hated her…no…hate was too strong a word…they had been rivals just a few minutes ago…but he was not sure what they were now…

"We…we should go," Ashi said softly and she turned around once again, "kal elections…" Yuvi laughed…he had completely forgotten about the elections and he was surprised to find that he hardly gave a damn about them now.

"What elections, Ashi?" he asked her smiling now. She looked at him surprised and then grinned back at him.

"I'm gonna win, psycho," ashi said teasingly.

"Oh no wacko, main hi jeetne waala hoon…par I don't care about them now!" Yuvi said.

Ashi looked surprised but still asked, "Then what do you care about?" raising one eyebrow. Yuvi just looked at her, naughtily and said, "Guess"…
