ACTUALLY......Dracula is based on a real life Romanian Prince named Vlad Tepes Dracula also known as Vlad The Impaler. He was a ruthless person who punished anybody who got in his way. He most favorite punishment was called "Impalement" where he would impale the prisoners on a huge stick and watch them slowly bleed to death. he would then drink their blood. Bram Stocker's Dracula was inspired by him.
