At higher frequencies.
Would they not have a better chance of proving themselves in the acting department.
As suppose to actors who are not related to anyone in the industry but given minor roles, bad directors and characters with not much depth.

I hear some people justify nepotism by saying the star kid has proven themselves with their GREAT acting ability.

However doesn't a lot have to do with them being given the lead and working with commercially successful directors. Also getting more scripts offered to them and getting PR which already exists because of their family name. They are getting the best in the industry training them and given descent roles to prove themselves at a higher rate.

So obviously there is a higher chance of them showcasing their acting ability.

I disagree, these star kids are lucky in terms of their first film, debut. After that if they are good enough, then only they are approached by big directors, PH. Case in point being Ranbir, Sawaria was a flop but his potential as an actor was appreciated. Whereas Imran, Sonam, ABjr couldn't make it big in spite of being from film families ... & Look at Sushant he is an outsider, yet he is flooded with big banner films cos of his talent.

It's all crap!
The only thing star kids get is an easier entry into Bollywood, that's pretty much it and that too not always. Govinda's daughter has been trying to get in for years. Many star kids have debuted in sub par projects and/or supporting roles. While Sushant, Ranveer, Deepika, Anushka have had massive launches.

It's business at the end of the day. Nobody is going to put their hard earned money and reputation on the line because your father was a big star, director or writer.

After your first film, everybody is on equal ground. Producers will cast you if you're worth it. Your family name means nothing.

What big banner films is Sushant doing?

Even Karan Johar who is probably the Godfather of nepotism endorses only those star kids who are successful😆 He'd pick Deepika over Kareena without a single thought at this point cos the former is more successful..To hell with the Kapoor surname😆 If Ranveer starts delivering blockbusters in future and Ranbir starts delivering flops, Karan wouldn't think twice before dumping Ranbir..So am not sure if this analysis is right..Its true though that star kids initially get more exposure and are praised to the skies when they perform well..Case in point is Alia who was called the Desi Meryl Streep..But then you have a Parineeti too who despite being an outsider is hailed as the best actress of her generation..

Isnt it a bit soon for Parineeti. She has only been in 4 films. 2 are filming now.

To be hailed the best actress of this generation. Also she was not great in her first film. But I know why ppl liked her

People just felt endearment because she played the character of overweight mediocre girl which is a rarity on the Bollywood screen when they endorse barbie dolls.

So countless insecure girls across the country flocked to be her fan.

However she was definitely funny in Hasee tho Phasee.

Of course..I was just talking about how Pari is praised to the skies despite being an outsider..IMO, Parinneti has the best screen presence among the younger lot..She is a good actress but am yet to be convinced about her versatility..I haven't seen Highway, so i have no idea how good or bad Alia is😆

I think to some extent esp if they are from influential enough family.
Otherwise pls explain why AB jr was chosen by the likes of rakesh mehra, ashutosh gowarikar, Imran khan by vishal bharadwaj.

I would not say better roles but definitely more chances.
