again today was dialysis day.. so she's weak. Other than that.. she's alright.

I don't go to her sessions as it would be almost 8hr trip. 1hr journey from home to hospital, 4hrs dialysis session, again 1hr return journey & some unexpected delays in the hospital & so forth.. Her dialysis session is at 7 AM, so she leaves with my dad around 5:30-6 AM in a cab, returns home around 14hrs - 17hrs. She said today... nurse was saying she's showing signs of improvement as her leg is not getting swollen that much these days as it used to earlier on (kidney patients legs get swollen due to the water intake - it usually shows up in the feet as body's weight is bared by them

During dialysis - machines filter out the excess water from the body (as kidneys fail to filter out the bad water), you can choose to reduce how many kilos u want, based on how much you have gained in the past week, my mom used to go for 3-4kgs earlier on, now she's doing 2kgs, my mom says.. A Policeman also attends dialysis session & he goes for a whopping 8-9kgs loss. Its a tough process of veggies compared to non-vegans, as there's very limited high energy diet for vegans). Most of them go weekly twice or thrice, my mom started with weekly twice now its weekly once unless very rarely. If she shows similar signs of improvement, her frequency days could be extended to say... umm.. 10 days or so on.
