Is Ayushman out of the race?

He stole the debut awards in 2012, and made huge headlines with his performance in Vicky Donor, but since then, it seems to be going downwards.

I feel from all the new actors, he has the least hype (I also find him the least talented). The rest of the actors seem to have decent successes and are going somewhere...Sid improved in HTP, has few interesting movies coming. MTH looks promising for Varun, Aditya has Fitoor and DEI, Sushant has lots of strong projects, Arjun has 2-states, Ranveer has some good work coming up and has done well for himself.

Do you think Ayushman, after delivering 2 huge failures, is officially out of the race? Do you still think he has a chance to make a comeback? I know he has that film with Shoojit and John, but is that gonna get him anywhere?

He sucks and is like in that Zayed Khan, Fardeen Khan, etc. kind of league now. 🤢

I think he's on his way out! He's got no talent and no screen presence.
Sid is another one I think that will fade away, he's got nothing but good looks.

He has a project with guneet monga, producer of lunchbox too. It is a period film on a real life personality. He has one film with yrf too. I am not betting on these films to do super well, but the first one sounds like a good film. About yrf, the less expected, the better it is. They choose to horribly underpromote or release their films sometimes.
Shoojit's film sounds good, and he and john make a good team. That one might click.
I dont think he is out of the race, but yes he is definitely lagging behind right now. There is too much competition and the other newcomers have comparatively bigger projects. Then again, all of them are just 2-3 movies old, tables can turn any moment.

What annoys me about him is that he thinks he's an excellent actor. He's not, he's a satisfactory actor. I don't know how he won the debut awards because Arjun was way better in Ishaqzaade.

I have always felt that he was never suited for Bollywood. He just got lucky with his first movie being a hit and all but other than that I don't see him going far. I think he might do a couple of films here and there like Imran Khan but in a couple of years he will probably be forgotten.

Even Sushant (not his fan) is better than Ayushman, I feel.

I always found his looks unappealing and his dialogue delivery below par. Who else thinks he has a wrinkled face? He looks older for his age.

He's not bollywood material...no looks , zero screen presence and strictly average acting.
More suitable for those supporting charactrers like hero's brother or sidekick.. 😆
