Second Chance

before 7 months, she met sameer when he came at hospital where she is working..he was admitted because of his leg injury,he was injured during his one of the danger case..he was there in the hospital for one whole week..aisha regularly visited him during her rounds..nd during her visits she came across a gentle man whose real nature was hidden behind his stern and angry expressions..
one can't easily see his care and protectiveness behind the stubbornness..he was the person who cn talk to any one easily but when it comes friendship he becomes choosy..people also approached him less in friendly way because of his nature..though he is helpful, he is high tempered too..he has grownup in a family where discipline and traditions matter most..
he didnt show his pain to any one but aisha knew about the pain he was suffering from..during their casual chat they started to share their problems with each other and talked about everything and anything..even after he was released from hospital, they were in regular contact.
And one day he was shifted at some far away place ..everything was happened in hurry ..he was in a hurry..and without telling her anything he left the place.. It was just a start for their friendship.. And his sudden act left her baffled..she was adapting to the change..
she is reserved girl with a shy nature but she was not like this before many things have changed her unknowing to her...she doesn't mingle with any one easily..for her , to develop any relation, it takes time and effort..so she has very few friends ..yeah but once she befriends with any one she is so free to talk and easily gel up with them..she is always afraid of change.. For her to adapt any change its very tough..and then entry of sameer, it was changing her a little bit..but the exit was as fast as his entry in her life..before any relation develop between them he had left the place..
and she met him again during her conference in mumbai ..he was shifted their after their last meeting..her conference is a week long..
on the very first day in the evening at her hotel she met him..she was surprised by seeing him there after these many days..they talked for few minutes and he left from there bcz of his work..on the 5th day he called her in the evening and asked to meet her..she was at first a little hesitant but then agreed to meet..they went to restaurant..they talked for an hour after dinner..he dropped her after that and promised to meet her again and to show her city..
Her trance is broken by the click of the door. She looks at the door, after hearing a voice calling her,"Aisha ,are you ready to go?". there is sameer standing on the door.she smiles at him and again looks at to her book, she reads the page that guides her in the current situation.: " Ultimately life is all about choices.one's destiny unfolds according to the choices one makes and I felt certain that the choices I made was the right one."
She stands up from her chair and smiles at him and both walk out together .
There are no words to talk and no questions to be asked. She has understood that change is the only thing that stay constant. now when she goes back in to the time when they met for the first time, they were strangers then the doctor patient relation was developed..and then he was the person whom she could trust and had shared her problems..it was the start of their friendship.
But now may be it is restart or second chance to their friendship and to her life too..

"Everything is more complicated than you think. You only see a tenth of what is true. There are a million little strings attached to every choice you make; you can destroy your life every time you choose. But maybe you won't know for twenty years. And you'll never ever trace it to its source. And you only get one chance to play it out...
And they say there is no fate, but there is: it's what you create. Even though the world goes on for eons and eons, you are here for a fraction of a fraction of a second. Most of your time is spent being dead or not yet born. But while alive, you wait in vain, wasting years, for a phone call or a letter or a look from someone or something to make it all right. And it never comes or it seems to but doesn't really. And so you spend your time in vague regret or vaguer hope for something good to come along. Something to make you feel connected, to make you feel whole, to make you feel loved." -Charlie Kaufman
