jeetne wale ko baazigar kehte hen"
Baldev heard this on the radio as he sat on a bench..it was night
time and he was still out..roaming alone..but he felt all alone
too...left out..as if he didn't belong with the people around
him..there was happiness everywhere..everyone in the village was
celebrating..all people were over-joyed..except for him..he was all
alone..even when he had his friends and his mother by his side..he
still felt lonely..and this loneliness was killing him..eating him up
from inside..
He saw Ranveera smiling and laughing..Veera was all happy as her
brother was now elected as the new surpanch..the whole pind was
with them.
He clenched his fists as he saw them..anger and rage over-powering
the best of him..he was burning..he wanted to burn everything with
it.
He went to the crowd who didn't remember that he exsisted..
Baldev; oye band karo e sb tamasha ( he shouted ) kisi k zakhmon
pe namak chidakna to koi tum log se seekhe..ek ki jeet dikhai de rhi
tum log ko (he threw the alcohol bottle he held on the floor) lekin
dusre ki haar nhi dikh rhi.. (his eyes were emitting alot of heat, his
breath was hot..he was on fire)...
Veera stepped in
Veera; oye tu haar gya apne karmon ki wja se to kya teri wja se sab
sog manayege?
Baldev; oye veera..( his voice was too intense it send shivers through
her spine)..huh! sog..tune aaj tak aur kiya hi kya he..ro dho k dono
bhai behen sirf logon ki hamdardi jeette a rhe ho..
Random pind guy: o puttar..e to chunaw hen..e sb to chalta he..koi
haarta he to koi jeetta he
Baldev; acha!..to me qn nhi jeeta..such to he..tum sb pind wasiyon ko
ise hi chunna tha..shuru se hi..mene akhir bigada kya he tum sb ka?
Veera; baldev! apni haar ka tu khud zimedar he..dusron ko qn dosh
de rha he...
his gaze was so dangerous...she swallowed hard..he held her arm
with so much force..the blood from the arm was stopped.
Baldev; dosh...huh!..sb se bada dosh to tujhe dunga me..tune akhir
choda hi kya he mere pass
she looked at him..he was very serious and this was not one of their
usual fights..it was different..and he was different..the funny guy
was no where to be scene..he was a volcano at the moment that
would release the lava anytime..
Veera; baldev (she got tears in her eyes) menu dard ho rha he..
Ranvi moved forward to help her..Baldev put one hand on his chest
and that was enough to stop him..
Baldev; me dard kr rha hun..me..dard to tune diya he menu
Ranvi was struggling to get pass his hold.
Veera; baldev...(tears fell from her eyes, her voice described the
pain)..menu bht dard ho rha he..baldev..
He left her arm with a jerk...and pushed Ranvi.
Baldev; tum logon ko andaza bhi nhi gayal sher kya kr skta he (he
said with gritted teeth)..koi nhi...tum sab se badla lunga me..chun
chun k badla lunga...
Ranvi; pind de surpach de samne tu..teri himmat kese hui
Baldev; wada aya surpanch...huh!..tujhe to sb se pehle maza
chakaonga me..
and then he looked at veera
Baldev; tune to menu sb se wada zakham diya he veera...tenu to esi
saza dunga..k zindagi bhar yaad rkhegi tu..
he turned and left..
and as he went he threw stuff..broke tables..threw the chairs...kicked
stalls..
He was on his bed..anger overpowering the best of him, not letting
him sleep.
Baldev; iss pind k liye kya kuch nhi kitta me..aur in logon ne mere hi
sapne tod diye...wo bhi us ranvi waste..kabhi maaf nhi karanga me in
pind waliyan nu
In the morning he was ready with his destroying plans..he went
straight to the surpunch office..where Ranvi was being welcomed as
the newly appointed surpanch..
Jaggi; chalo paaji..sab khtm kr den
Baldev had a evil smile on his face..they burst into the office.
Baldev; oye ranvi tenu ki laga..tu surpunch ban k aish krega aur hum
makhiyan maarenge? o nhi oye..
he looked at Jaggi..Jaggi nodded..Baldev kicked the table of
surpunch and poured some alcohol on it..and set it on fire..
Ranvi and the others were shocked.
Man; o niqlo ithe se..ye pagal munda..sb jala dega bhago..
they all ran outside..two guys pulled Ranvi out.
Baldev laughed..
Jaggi; paji niqlo ithe se..e jaga jalne wali he..chalo
He pulled him out..Ranvi grapped his collar as soon as they were
out.
Ranvi; e ki kitta tune..
Baldev pushed Ranvi..
Baldev; e to sirf shuruwat he..abhi to mene pure pind nu jalana he..e
aag to ab tak sirf menu jala rhi thi..ab tum sb bhi isme mere sath
jalo ge..chal jaggi..
They went away..baldev still fuming...
Baldev was setting all the hay on fire...he was burning badly and he
wanted everything else to burn with him..
Ranvi held his shoulder and turned him..he was about to punch him
but Baldev held his fist...
Baldev; sochna bhi mat..e galti kr di na ranveere..to is phoose k sath
tu bhi jalta hua milega
Ranvi; Baldev..teri himmat kese hui mere pind nu
Baldev; oye bas..( he shouted, his eyes all red, his body shaking in
anger)...bht sun li teri bakwas..tera pind, teri mahanta, teri achai, teri
sachai, tera badaqban aur...aur teri veera
there was alot of pain in his voice when he said teri veera..
Ranvi and the other people stared at him.
