Veera sat in her room, tears in her eyes as she stared at the ring
baldev got her. Ranvi came to her
Ranvi; veerakhdi..tu tayar hai na..kal wo log tenu dekhne aayenge
Veera nodded.
Ranvi; changa..ab so ja subah jaldi uthna he na
he left.

Baldev was sitting on his jeep when billa came running
Billa; paaji..wo wo
Baldev; ki?
Billa: wo veera ko dekhne koi sheher se munda aya he
Baldev closed his fist and started boiling.
Baldev; us ranvi ki inni himmat..me use chadunga nhi
He jumped out of his jeep and grapped a stick but Gunjan stopped
him.
Gunjan; nhi veerji, veera ne khud haan kahi hai is rishte ke liye..aur
do din me uski shadi he..bhool jao wo aap se pyar nhi karti thi..us
ne ye anghooti aapko wapas krne ko kaha he
She returned the ring and left.
Baldev's anger increased he hit his jeep hard making a dent, he
kicked the tyre.
"veeeraaa" he yelled in pain.
His eyes were red and his breaths fast, he threw the stick and
grapped the poles of the jeep shaking it.
Billa and jaggi tried to free his grasp.
Baldev; tune e theek nhi kiya veera..
jaggi; paaji chado..jeep ne aapka ki bigada he
Billa; han paji chado aap k liye to kudiyon ki kataren lag jani hen,
bhool jao us veera nu.
Baldev stopped and leaving the jeep he turned and grapped Billa's
collar
Baldev; kya bola tu? han..kya bola? me veera nu bhool jaon? apne
pehle aur akhri pyaar nu bhool jaon, apni jaan apne jahan nu bhool
jaon? bol!!!!!!!!
he pushed billa and he fell.
Baldev; sacha pyar bhulaya nhi jata..aur tu kya janta nhi veera mere
liye kya hai? wo mere liye har sapne har apne se badh ke hai..to ki
hoya agar wo menu jhoota pyar krti thi..mera pyar to sacha hai
na...aur me usse apna bana k chodunga.

The wedding celebrations were going on in sampooran's house. It
was veera's engagement in the day and in the evening was haldi and
mehendi.
Baldev was outside Veera's house but hidden along with Billa and
jaggi.
Billa; paaji hum ithe qn chup ke khade hen andar chal k dulhe nu
peet dete hen na.
Baldev; oye chup kar..bas humen is baat ka dyan rkhna hai ke wo
namuna veera ka haath pakad k use anguthi na pehna paye..wo sirf
meri di hui anguthi k ilawa koi aur nhi pehen skti aur us namune k
hathon to bilkul nhi.
Jaggi; o dekho paji kesa choosa dhunda he hamari sherni parjai k
liye..surpunch bna he aur apni behen tak ka bhalla nhi kar saga.'
Baldev; chad oye isse to wese bhi hum kuch dino me ukhad
phenken ge.
Billa; par paaji hum kya karen jis se ye sagai ho k bhi na ho?
Baldev; tu bas wekh
A pandit went inside the house and cornered ranvi.
Pandit; dekh ranvi puttar tu vyah inni jaldi me krwa raha he muhrat
bhi nhi niqla to tu har kadam soch samjh k utha.
Ranvi; jee pandit je jesa aap bolo
Pandit; wo puttar vyah se pehle agar war ne wadhu ko ya wadhu ne
war ko galti se bhi sparsh (touch) kiya to anart hojayega
Ranvi: to phir anguthi kese badlenge?
Pandit: puttar tu ladke ki mata jee se keh de k wo veera nu pehna
de aur tu ladke ko.
Ranvi; changa
Pandit; aur haan..ye ashirwad ki anguthi me laya hun veera ko yehi
pehni hogi unki di hui anguthi nhi
Ranvi; jee pandit jee aisa hi hoga.

The engagement went as per baldev's plans..and now was the time
for mehendi.
Jaggi; gunjan ye le paji ko humne laga di ye bachi hui mehendi he tu
yehi lagana use
Gunjan; changa
Jaggi: aur ye le mehendi..paji ka hi naam likhna
Gunjan; tu fiqr mat kr main hoon na
Gunjan switched the haldi trays. And later when the groom's sister
was coming to apply mehendi
Gunjan; aap bura na mano to me laga dun..wo kya hai na bachpan se
sapna tha mera veera ko uski shadi ki mehendi lagana
The girl agreed and Gunjan wrote a small "baldev" on veera's palm
that was barely noticeable.

Billa and jaggi were shocked.
