I love Karishma I really do..but she was such a cheesy actress and I think the reason I liked her was because of her popular hit songs and because she was a good dancer. But she is no way a better Actress than Kajol. Kajol was a very natural actress and lolo wasn't. Only film lolo showed natural acting in was Zubeida.

I enjoyed watching Kajol. Superbly entertaining and a very natural actress.

She always said in her interviews she never planned or took her career seriously. Things just happened. That's perhaps why we never saw her act in different genre movies like Preity or Rani. She never went about seeking different movies.

I always felt that Divya Bharti's void was filled by Kajol. If Divya Bharti was around maybe Kajol wouldn't have been so successful.

About the Karishma and Kajol comparison! Than Karishma needed a very good script and a very good director to act! If you watch some of her flop movies with Suniel Darshan than she hams a lot and her expressions come across very forced! Kajol never utilized her potential but she had it! Even with the most mediocre directors and in the most mediocre films she gave great performances. No other actress what have made it as far as Kajol being ordinary looking, not so talented in dancing, and not that ambitious either. She retired at 27!

I don't know why she retired at 27. She and aish were same age but aish retired at 34.

Kajol is one actress who can give competition to all the current actresses!

Raveena is also better actress than lolo.. just watch AAA and you will see what I mean. lolo was so stiff while Raveena natural.

Yeah but she could had taken one year break and then she could had easily made her come back but she disappeared.

Sometimes I think did ajay forced her to quit acting? Urggghh that guy puts me off big time, he's a good actor but I don't like his offscreen behavior

Kajol is one of my favorites because she is and was unabashedly herself and is more apt to kick someone's behind than kiss them. She broke stereotypes by not looking like a typical hindi film heroine and though she made choices that did not justify her talent, they are still some of the few that have lived on and will live on for a long time.

As for Karishma, I think she is very talented, certainly more than both her parents but she was not allowed to make good choices because of her mother unlike Bebo who seems to have been cursed by the bad script picking fairy.
