Her talent is undeniable. Watch her We are family. She was the most talented of the lot. What did Madhuri do, other than dance? 😕 Kajol's acting is way more natural and more subtle than any of her contemporaries.

Regarding Kajol not doing other types of roles, It has more to do with male-dominated industry -_- At her prime time, there were not really women oriented movies she could and more romantic movies. Funny how people say SRK grew while she stayed the same. I love both of them, but please had male actors would retire after 30-35 years old, SRK would've been the same. Even he did the same romantic roles like Kajol Genre and some negative role like Kajol. It's later when he did Chak De India and more versatile roles because he is a male and Producers/directors want him. Kajol is a great actress too and it not like she can not do it, but it's how male-oriented industry don't care and want young heroines. She would've done it now as there are many women oriented movies and different roles. Still, I hope she comes back. She is a great actress and natural onscreen.

I'm not disliking Kajol. Infact i like Kajol a lot. Don't twist the words ..

But saying ''ONE ACTRESS'' whose movies will ''ONLY'' be remembered as mentioned in the topic is totally nonsense/absurd..esp when it's about Kajol ..If it was said about Sridevi or Madhuri ..then it's still understated ..BUT KAJOL's movies (there are barely any except GUPT/Dushman) will be remembered for ''HER'' ..

Kajol was always behind Madz..Talking of 90S, only the name ''MADHURI'' comes in mind first ..and no one else .. Madhuri RULED the 90s ..

I'm not talking about Kajol's acting/talent ..she's definitely a good, natural actress/talented ..No doubt..But her movies ''WON'T ONLY'' be remembered for her performance alone like those of Sridevi's or Madhuri's ..

IF BW section is famous for Kajol hate so I will just laugh off the statements where ppl compare Asin's role in ready to Kajol's in DDLJ 😆 yeah righ! Kajol wont be remembered after 20 yrs for DDLJ or KKHH but definitely Karisma will be for her cringe worthy act in epic Biwi no: 1 & Judwaa 🤣🤣

I will have to agree Juhi,Manisha etc are better actresses than Kajol but Kajol's popularity and stardom is unmatched..She is still there in top 10 whenever Ormax ratings are published...In majority of the polls conducted where actress from 90s are considered Kajol is right behind Madz far abv the likes of Juhi,Karisma,Manisha etc...Pairing with SRK might be a reason but its stupid to negate the fact she is universally loved ..Opinion of this forum is nt reflected by major population of movie goers in India...Kajol won praise and love from viewers even with her brutally honest straight forward persona which may come across as rude and belowe average looks...Yes I hardly meet anyone in real life who dislikes Kajol but teek hai to each his own😛

it doesn't matter if Kajol did deferent roles or not.some people may find her overrated , but I don't think anyone can deny Kajol's natural effortless acting. I believe many will agree on that. its really ridiculous that people here are comparing her with the likes of Kat and Asin that's pure insult.

I think you might be biased.

Kajol is a fantastic actress no doubt. She's a very natural performer and oh so believable. The way she dives in and becomes certain characters is commendable and inspiring.

But I definitely disagree when you say she is the only "one actress" who has memorable movies. I didn't grow up in the era of Sridevi or Rekha, or even earlier Madhuri. But despite that, I know them because of their "iconic" films. They've carried entire films on their heads. I mean take English Vinglish for example. The entire movie was for Sridevi. It centred around her character and her struggles.

So Kajol is definitely not the only now with memorable films. Although I do wonder how much of the popularity of the films you listed depend on the chemistry between the leads. Especially SRK and Kajol. Their chemistry is out of this world and honestly, they are like the only reason I like to rewatch K3G or DDDJ and even KKHH. Seriously, I've never seen anything like it. I don't think any two stars, in any cinema, have or can have the chemistry those two have. OTP material man.

WOW you acting like Kirshma is nothing. do you happened to watch the likes of Fiza and subeidaa buddy? Karishma is as talented as Kajol so no need to be shocked if some find her better than Kajol.
