I agree. SHE'S very underrated. Yes, she's extremely popular and ppl still remember her like Madhuri and Kajol, but still she is never called in the same position as them or looked upon as. AS a fan, it annoys me so much especially when she got that all by herself without any help. I have heard she went through so much and she a child too when she started. was talented, and heard her movies used to be big hits too on box office. Even more than the others sometimes. SO, I still Dont get why still she was not called as number one as Madhuri and Kajol when she was equal to them like having hits etc 😕 And, she was versetile too in her work.

me too.i will give her the best dancer of the 90s. she dances so well.and yup she is very beautiful I still secretly ship for them. (salman Karishma) so we have quite few things in common

I was never really a big fan of Kajol. Her acting always annoyed me. I could never stand her crying scenes. or her dancing scenes...

There was time madz ruled bollywood... i absolutely loved madz in tezaab , dil, sajaan , hahk,dtph , anjaam , gaja gamini , lajja , pukar , devdas ... madz will always b remembered for dancing ...i would call her synonymous with dancing ...havent seen more graceful dancer than her ...she acted well too n is very gorgeous 😊

karishma was amazing in raja hindustani , dil toh pagal hai , fiza , zubeidaa ,shakti , coolie no. 1 , aaa , judwaa, biwi no 1 ,etc ... i always found her soo versatile ... i might b little biased as i love her but she rocked in serious as well as bubbly role 😊 her filmfare n national awards speak for itself 😊

KARISHMA is adorable. I can never get tired of her and her movies. Her and Salman's chemistry is one of the best.

I agree kajol was not stunning or very beautiful but she is very talented and attractive and that's why she did so well.

Kajol is not beautiful,not a talented dancer,always considered to be arrogant, straight forward, but despite this, she is still a favorite actress of top directors. She was never serious about the film career,but when she acts, enacts the role naturally and beautifully . She rarely acted in offbeat,award intended movie or heroine oriented movie, but still she is believed to be a talented actress.
. I don't think that whatever roles she got is because of her family background cause comparing to the other actors in Bollywood her family is less influential.

The point is not why karan always took her, indebt or not to be encouraged by kajol for the first movie kkhh, point is apart from 1 or 2 movies he ignored all the more talented actresses of that time and only made Kajol her queen-bee throughout her career alongwith chopras, I like Kajol but I guess Urmila, Raveena, Pooja Bhatt ,Sonali and to some extent even Karishma didn;t got their full due from the industry despite being successful. and most of them were more taleneted then Kajol. Nepotism is not a good thing, atleast in my opinion.

Because of kajol and shah .karan is what he is today...so obviously he want to cast the both in his movies maximum naa..why would he bother to cast others😲

Sure, thats what these forums r for :) well we can say the reverse, bcoz of Karan Kajol's 7o% career success rate is there and rest is based on Chopras. KKHH could be the payback cheque to shah kajol :) but taking only her in all her movies... hmmm... he was free to do whatever, I like Kajol and I am glad an unconventional female like her made her mark, even Tanuja stated that their family never expected from her to make it big as she was a very careless person and far from being passionate to be a filmi heroine, I am not blaming KJO in the real sense ofcourse as it will be pointless...but my main concern was that many actresses of that time deserved the success of kajol and some even more then her...KJO was a point of reference, but obviously jiski qismat may jo hota hai wohi milta hai.

Conveient or not, Mahesh Bhatt spoke the truth that most of the people also agree with. and he is a veteran film maker & director, not some common person like us, his opinion values much much more not only bcoz he is a seasoned director, but an extremely honest and a genius person too, who always speak truth without mincing anything.

U said most of the people agree with mahesh bhatt..who are the people??IF members??even today most of the youngsters dream is to be like kajol- shah...Jodi..if shah is not over rated then how can kajol be over rated???

Many people are of the view that Shah is over rated... including myself :) especially the post 2000 shahrukh , u can disagree with me but I think most of the awards both kajol and shahrukh got, they did not deserved them. Yup IF and outside IF many ppl that I know r of the view.. majority of them love kajol and shahrukh but also a big number of them think otherwise too. and its ok. yup such discussions can not go anywhere especially if they r about the top notch stars :k) Lets agree to disagree
