6 years later.

The Raizada mansion was in a state of chaos, mind you happy chaos as the inhabitants got the home ready to welcome a very special member.

Adi & Advay were busy with NK & Pooja's 4 year old son Rehan as they three of them used their creative little minds to pick the colors of balloons as NK and Akash blew each one of them huge.

Whereas on another part of the house Dia and Avni were busy helping Pooja and Payal to make the rangoli or lets just say make it more messier as they had fun with the colors.

Meanwhile Anjali had just put her and Varun's 2 month old tyke Vinay to a sound sleep and turned around to pick up Payal and Akash's 5 year old little princess Akshita as they went out to get started on hanging the lights by the poolside.

Nanji Mamiji Buaji and Garima were busy discussing the details of the havan with the Panditji while the elderly men helped Varun Aman and Liya handle the arrangements of the party.

But the special guest of the party was yet to arrive, she was in a faraway place unknown to the reality that her life was about to be engulfed with never ending happiness as 2 people came to take her away as their own.

Khushi had a serene smile on her face as she looked at Arnav who was driving away to a little life who would soon be theirs. His hand held hers firmly in his as always, never letting go.

She thought back to that one day around 8 months back when they had the conversation first.

8 months ago,

Khushi had been restless over the past few days, ever since she returned from a charity benefit that had been arranged for the children of Blessed Angels Orphanage. It was an organisation that was majorly funded by AR , something that had been a joint venture Anjali Khushi Payal and Pooja.

She had spend a lot of time amongst the kids, she had watched the children of her own house mingling with the children there, but as she watched them she had felt a sense of incompleteness envelope her, like whatever they were doing wasn't just enough, like there was so much more to do.

Like taking a real initiative for the children who would never know a real family. She watched as Avni went and asked one of the care takers there to let her play with a 3 month old baby girl who had just arrived a few days back when she had been found abandoned on the steps of a nearby temple.

As she watched them, she felt a spark in her , like she knew the answer to her own unease, like she had really found the answer but her heart went back to her husband.

She had decided to discuss it with him first and right now she was waiting for him to return from work, she had requested him to come early today.

And as she sat lost in her thoughts on the recliner by the poolside, Arnav entered and as soon as he saw Khushi on the couch unaware of his arrival, he knew there was something serious going on in her mind, she never failed to not notice his presence otherwise !

He silently shut the door and locked it, and after leaving his work stuff on the bed, he removed his coat and suit and unbuttoned his shirt as he made his way towards her, bending down slightly he placed a silent kiss on the side of her neck,

" someone looks too busy to notice that her husband had returned exactly as she requested ! "

Khushi jerked out from her thoughts as she saw Arnav looking down at her smiling, she got up in a rush,

" Arnav I am so sorry !

I didnt even hear you come in. Wait here .. I will go get your coffee. " said Khushi as she turned to rush out but Arnav caught her hand and pulled her back into his arms,

" Sshh Khushi.

I don't need a coffee now , will have it later.

But I could be happy with a kiss ! " said Arnav as he turned her around to face him , Khushi blushing at her husband's ageless timeless passion for her but one look into his eyes and she couldn't refuse him.

She looped her arms around his neck and pulled him down for a hard passionate kiss that took even Arnav by surprise, it was just like their first kiss , despite the years that passed, their love and passion refused to diminish, always more lethal than before, their need for each other seemed to increase in intensity as each second passed, parents to 3 amazing children but when it came to their own love life, Arnav and Khushi were as passionate as any newly wed !

The family often joked that they the star crossed lovers weren't yet out of their honeymoon phase ... that their life was a honeymoon forever and it was true.

As the dire need for oxygen became inevitable , they broke apart but Khushi didnt want to be away from him, she hugged him closer as she nestled herself into the crook of his neck, their heartbeats beating in unison.

Arnav walked her to the their bed and made her sit down, sitting down next to her , he held her hand as he looked at her,

"what is it jaan ?

There is something you want to tell me ... something bothering you .. what is it ?? "

Khushi looked at her husband who always understood her silences as well as he understood her words, he wasn't just her husband, but her soul mate ... her best friend .. her companion in all her dreams. And if anyone could understand her then it was Arnav, she rested her head on his shoulder,

" Arnav ... there is something I have to tell you. I know it wont be easy to accept but you have to hear me out.

Advay Avni and Adi are 6 years old now , and Gods have blessed them with a fairytale life.

Sometimes when I look at our kids , and all the children in our family, I feel they are the luckiest to be amongst a family that loves them all so much. A family that would do anything for their happiness.

But I feel a sense of incompleteness, like there is something we have to do that isnt done yet.

Arnav I feel there is space in our lives for one more child.

I want another baby Arnav ! "

Arnav grew worried as he heard her speak, because it was quite contradictory to what he had heard before, he looked at her ..

" but princess ... remember you were the one who decided that we didnt want more.

We had this conversation long back Khushi , we did talk about another baby but thats when you and everyone started the Orphanage, all of you decided that you would spend your lives for the children there rather than having more kids of your own.

And I respect you all for that, I admire the principle behind it. In today's world where so many children are homeless and unwanted, if we can do something from our side for their welfare, well I am more than happy that we started the organisation.

And Khushi you even took a permanent precaution against pregnancy as a safety measure so that it wouldn't even happen by chance.

What happened love ??

Why this sudden change ? "

Khushi smiled seeing Arnav's worried expression,

" let me complete Arnav.

I know we cant have kids of our own and I have no regrets about what we decided.

But remember few days back, all of us were at the charity benefit , I was watching the children there, true that now they have a better chance at having a better existence, but isnt there something we can do more ?

Think about it Arnav, if every couple , whether they have kids of their own or not, if we decide to adopt an orphaned child and give the little one a new home and a family , wouldn't that be even better ?

They could have parents who love them , siblings who cherish them , they can have a happy childhood.

We have our Adi Avni and Advay with us , Di and Varun Jiju has Dia and Vinay, Jiji and Akash Jijiu have Akshita and NK & Pooja have Rehan.

We all have our own but if anyone feels like having another baby , why cant it be someone adopted, why not give our love to a life that may otherwise never have chance for a real family ?

I saw Avni playing with a little one who came to our organisation a while back, she is 3 months old Arnav, she was found abandoned at the temple.

As I saw her playing with it, I just felt a connection, like Avni was really playing with her sister.

I want to bring her home Arnav ... I want her to be ours. "

Khushi finished speaking as she looked at Arnav with worried eyes, she didnt know how he would accept it, her Arnav had a heart of gold but this was all too sudden and she was scared he wouldn't be happy about it. But she was shocked to see Arnav looking at her with more than just love !

On Arnav's part , as he heard his wife out , he couldn't fathom if his respect for her could ever increase more because it was always as deep as his love for her.

She never ceased to amaze him , her heart could love the entire world but he was too selfish about it, he wanted her just for himself and their kids and family.

But when he heard her speak about the baby and Avni, his heart picked up pace, he could imagine the scene in his own heart, his princess playing with a beautiful little baby, like Khushi said it was as though the baby was already theirs !

" Khushi I don't know how you do it love ?

How do you stun me so often ?

I think that I couldn't love you more but then as each day passes, you make me fall in love even more than before.

If everyone in the world thought like you then no child would ever go homeless.

Khushi if we can do our part is making a life better, if we can be an example to the society that a child of our own doesn't have to be always our blood but its whats in our hearts that matter. Then am with you sweetheart.

Lets first tell our families and our kids and then lets go get her !! "

Khushi never knew that Gods would answer her plea so quickly but all she knew was that she loved Arnav deeply, this man never stopped making her crazy for him.

She smiled widely as she kissed him deeply, a kiss that soon turned wild , a kiss that unfurled the passion all over again , engulfing them in all consuming fire as they lost themselves in each other.

Back to the present

Khushi was brought out her thoughts as she felt Arnav kissing her fingers. They had reached their destination, and they couldn't wait to take their treasure back home where their kids and families were eagerly waiting to see their special gift.

Arnav held Khushi's hand as they stepped into the orphanage, the Matron smiled at them, the old lady had a lot of love and respect for the couple and their entire family, because to her there couldn't be a more perfect and sincere souls like the Raizadas.

Truly humane and genuine people who only knew to love everyone who walked into their life,. And Arnav & Khushi .. they were the symbol of true unconditional love.

The love that everyone saw in their eyes towards each other was blessed, the love that mad them forget the world around them, it was divine.

And she was only too happy to know that a very blessed child would soon be having Arnav & Khushi as her parents.

All the legal formalities completed, Arnav and Khushi walked into the room where she slept, they looked at the tiny angel who was sleeping, they had come often in the past few months to meet her, and they had fallen in love with her. Just like Khushi , as he had met the baby , Arnav had felt the missing chunk of their lives falling in place.

A sense of fulfilment and peace washed over him.

Their children were thrilled , specially Avni who was over the moon that she would have her friend from the orphanage as her sister forever.

The caretaking nurse smiled at Arnav and Khushi as she handed over the sleeping bundle to Khushi who carefully took her in her safe arms, Arnav s arms came around them as they cradled her, the caretaker didnt forget to snap this divine moment,

Khushi looked at Arnav expectantly, he chuckled knowing what she wanted, he looked at the baby and whispered,

" ANAMIKA "

And so she was their Anamika.

And they walked away carrying their angel to their world.
