Arjun is an aweful father:Mod note pg14&17

Already I never liked him because I fail to understand if he ''loved'' Purvi, why he gave wrong hints to Ovi, impregnated her twice and ruined her life.

hon check kools commentary if you can, i just made a post about it. i think you may enjoy it. I've also mentioned a kudos to rithvik for sustaining such a fan following simply through his onscreen charisma even after such horrid character assassination of arjun.

Arjun's life got complicated from the moment he gave it to Purvi and married Ovi. though Arjun only loved purvi, but as a husband did everything to make Ovi happy. he tried doing eveything to bring Ovi back once she left him after she found out that pari was his daughter.

Yes, Ekta has really ruined the character of Arjun - as a lover, husband, father - he is the weakest with no character growth whatsoever...

I felt bad for Arjun when he was forced to marry Ovi by Purvi, even though even then I felt he should have flatly refused pointing out how it would ruin three lives.
He did it any way under pressure.

But then, if he had agreed to do this for the sake of his love for Purvi, he only paid lip service to it. He lived with Ovi without any warmth. He was taking care of Ovi alright. But kept having imaginary scenes with Purvi. I guess that is understandable. But I do not think he deserves the credit for doing everything in his power to keep Ovi happy because he did not. He very well knew that only his love could make Ovi happy. It is understandable that he could not love her. But it is not understandable why did not break the relationship. He was only trying to keep his word to Purvi. He could not say "no" to anything she asked for whether it was marrying Ovi or having a child with her, or separating from Purvi herself before the last leap. That is where his weakness lies. (I am not discussing Purvi or Ovi here). He has, of course, suffered a lot and his suffering deserves sympathy on humane grounds . But his suffering is due to his own inability to withstand whatever was demanded by Purvi.

Even now he is taking so much help and support from Ovi, but he shows no concern for her life, her child (which happens to be his too). His only concern is Purvi - not even Pari so much. Shouldn't a 40 + man be concerned about his children? I think TM does have a point, even though I agree that Arjun's condition is pitiable in some ways.

(In terms of performance, I think Ritvik is doing an excellent job portraying a pitiable confused man. But I hope Asha also gets an opportunity to show her talent as an actor with varied emotions. She is given only three or four types of scenes because of the way the writers have developed her character. I think she deserves more.)

Arjun is an aweful father to both his daughters...One hates him thanks to mother Purvi filling her ears against Arjun the father all her life...But Arjun does crave to know more abt Pari.

Pia on other hand his own daughter with Ovi who he never loved so did not bother with their child...Its OK to sleep with a woman you don't love, get her prego, have a child with her while craving and fantasizing abt love of his life Purvi who did not give 2 hoots abt listening to his explanations abt Ovi-Baby yrs ago and divorced him for stupid misunderstandings..

Even today the same Purvi who claims to love Arjun the love of his life and would do anything for him, IE marrying RK to get Arjun out of jail believed Chalu chadda and did not believe Arjun that RK framed him for the drug charges and got him out of jail too so he can marry Purvi.

She has chosen to believe a guy who made several passes at her, tried to sleep with her, indecent proposal. Framed Arjun with drugs and put him behind bars..Now tell me if you love someone as you claim you do than you got to give them BOD right? or would you believe some Chalu Chadda who has been the cheap, chaalu, cheezy mawali who you just met once or twice few days back??

But this is what female leads in PR do. They believe random people and take their husbands to court, file law suits, marry some man they just met but not believe a single word their husband or love of their life is telling them..Where is the love, respect or the big word "Trust" in this relationship????

Men who fall for these women deserve these women because they do not want to use their brain for thinking they let their hormones do the thinking and decision making..So I say all power to these women who make mockery out of these men and their marriages and children.

Perfect example of ArMan & what they have done to their own children.

Purvi what she has done to innocent Pari ...Mind you another innocent child PIA..

Ovi comes back has a one night stand with Arjun and then leaves, she does not take his calls or want to meet him, and he finaly gives up. its not Arjun fault Ovi got pregnant and didnt inform him.

Arjun being in love with Purvi was ready to start a new life with her and their daughter Pari, things were going well and they were happy. then there were some differences because of Sohan and Manav mental state that affect the business.

but in all that Arjun never regretted marrying Purvi, Ovi lie and omission of the existance of her child, created a rift between Arjun and purvi.

in a heartbeat Arjun lost everything he holds most precious, Purvi, his daughter Pari, and their unborn child.

how could he ever give Ovi purvi place in his life or even her daughter Pari place in his life. they would remind him everyday of what he lost.

so i understand the chose to life without the joy of his children love, cause love one would result in the rejection of the other.

in all the mess Arjun lost the most. so i don't blame him. what he did was right. it takes a lot of guts to live a lonely life, Arjun sacrificed his happiness so the kids could have a sort of normal upbringing.

But this isn't about Ovi and Purvi. This is now about Arjun's two daughters. I understand Arjun can't give Purvi's place to Ovi. That's fine.

A good father doesn't differentiate between his kids and love one kid more or less than the other. No, Arjun has let Purvi and his love for her dictate his life. That's great he wants to remain single in life. He has the right to marry whoever he wants or not.

However, Arjun doesn't need to marry Ovi to have a part in Pia's life. Neither does he have to be with Purvi to be a part of Pari's life.

Arjun has the money and means to support his children and be in their lives. He has NOOO excuse for the way he has treated his children. When a person becomes a parent, kids become their first priority. Arjun has shown ZERO love, consideration, or care for his kids. He is nothing but a deadbeat father.

In your opinion, you think he has guts since he lived alone. In my opinion, he is a coward to be scared of Purvi and not fighting for Pari.

I don't even consider Arjun to be Pia's father. Giving sperm to create a child doesn't make a man a father. A man needs to be involved in the children's day to day life, love them, protect them, and provide for them to the best of his ability and circumstances in order to be worthy of the title of a father. Arjun is nothing but a glorified sperm donor.

Okay I understand arjun can never give purvi's place to ovi.

But saying that he can't give pari's place to Pia? That's ridiculous.

Let's just forget about Purvi and Ovi for two minutes, pretend they don't exist.

Arjun fathered four kids, two of whom are still alive.

Pari and Pia.

Just because Pia reminds him that he lost Pari doesn't mean that he should just forget about her and stop loving her! He IS her father and she IS his youngest child, his flesh and blood, his baby daughter.

It wasn't Pia's fault whatever happened, she didn't ask for it! She was a total innocent. On the contrary, a normal father would have showered her with love knowing that she was HIS daughter at the end of the day.

Any normal father would have given all of his love to the daughter that he still had there with him rather than let both daughters slip away from his life.

He totally messed up, he had already lost one daughter, why did he let the other one go too?

I really feel for whatever Arjun is going through with the blood clot but the rest is unacceptable.

Absolutely agree muse. If arjun made that mistake of giving in to the deal, he should have at least divorced Ovi after their one month anni or whatever that party was for where Ovi had one of her breakdowns. It was the right thing for Ovi and himself to end that marriage then. Annulments can be made right?

I feel he was stuck in this hole where he wanted to maintain a relationship with Ovi in spite of being angry with her for the deal. His friendship was still there and he wanted to make it work but at the same time he couldn't forget purvi and wanted that life. He couldn't have both obviously so he was eventually left with nothing. His confusion always left him on the fence. Neither could he maintain his duty as a husband to ovi nor fight for his relation with Purvi. But it's so dumb b/c this same guy left all his money and way of life and lived in a chawl and worked without his identity to prove be was worthy of Purvi... But just a little while later he gives in and marries someone else. This is the writers' inconsistencies in their character development. Just didn't make sense.

Interestingly enough, it was the child with Purvi that broke Arovi and then the child with Ovi that broke Arvi. I feel the children were there to just create the next obstacle/hurdle or game changer in their love triangle. Otherwise, both pari and pia are just ignored. Even today, the daughters are only worried abt their parents' love lives. They have no other purpose it seems in this show. Thats why i think CVs dont care about developing arjun as a father. They're still stuck on their triangle.
