Warning: I would encourage strong Jodha supporters who cannot take her single tear to skip my view.
Even though CVs have shown many tracks that are not realistic at all, it is still a historical show. We cannot impose our modern womanly feelings and judge it. In the past it was very common for a man to have many wives. It was also mostly a very male dominated society. A wife refusing physical contact must have been almost unheard of. Given all that, Jodha's constant refusal for physical relationship and accusations that Jalal is making moves on her were ridiculous. A husband does get insecured when that physical right is denied. In this case a king of kings was denied this right and instead accused of being lustful. Jodha does not get punished for it at all, instead this makes Jalal want her even more. I don't blame Jodha for not wanting anything from this marriage, but during those times for a wife to deny conjugal rights is laughable. Jalal is now showing his hatred for all the things that Jodha failed to do for him as a wife. His anger is justified as the love letter mystery is not resolved. He was okay with Jodha not accepting him as a husband, but could not digest the way his ego was hurt after being mislead by Jodha.
Jodha remembered every bad act of Jalal and hated him for many months. Jalal now remembers how Jodha never did anything for him as a husband and is showing the hatred outwardly. His heart though cannot hate her as that is beyond his control. He is being constantly instigated by Ruqu and MA as they are insecure about Jodha's importance in Jalal's life. Sadly, today Jodha had to pay back for all the hatred she showed to Jalal in the past.
Yes, Jodha had her reasons to hate Jalal. But, in those times these kind of weddings were common. She did not have to be so outspoken of her hatred and refuse every wifely act. Jalal supported her inspite of all her mistakes, blames, temper and stubbornness. He let her do things that normally would not be allowed in his empire. Jodha did not do anything to earn those brownie points. Today, Jalal feels that Jodha can never love him because of the love letter mystery. He has reached a stage where he cannot support her blindly. He has started judging her and getting influenced more and more by MA/Ruqu. Today, when Ruqu requests Jodha to not give the husband word as a DUHAI - she is right and so is Jalal. Yes, Jodha did do things for Jalal. But, Jalal returned that favor more than back by so many things he did for her. I feel Jalal was finally honest and showed all the wounds openly that were caused by Jodha. He desperately wanted a wife in Jodha, like he never wanted from anyone else. He was royally hurt on that fateful night (love letter) and all of it came out in open. I wish it didn't in DEK, but its done now..
Jodha took a final big blow from Jalal. I am hoping she understands what it meant to have Jalal's unconditional support for her. I hope she understands how difficult it is when he is not on her side. Jodha was to some extent quite when Jalal blamed her for never being a wife. I am pretty sure she understands where Jalal is coming from. Yes, Jodha is doing all this only to protect Jalal. Jodha's intentions are right, but her past deeds are making it very difficult. The good part though is that Jodha will come out even more stronger out of this and so will Jalal's love for her. The love letter mystery still needs to be resolved for him to move forward with his feelings for Jodha, hope that is done soon too.
MA has completely lost it and so has Ruqu. I can't even imagine their faces when the whole thing about Ben comes out in open. I was so proud of Jalal when he refused to marry a bandhi! Small such gestures from a male lead make me so happy these days. I still wished and hoped that he did not agree to marry because of Ruqu pressure. But, we would have not enjoy the reactions on Ruqu's face when the truth comes out had Jalal not been forced to marry. Yet again, I forgive CVs for this. Ben should be given bare minimum dialogs, that lady cannot act or deliver dialogs. It was so pathetic to hear her story, hope tomorrow is the end of this Ben track.
Precap: Salima helped Jalal during Pregnancy track and now she is ready to help Jodha. I am very excited about what plans these two will come up with. My hunch is that the wedding will not happen, Ben's true naagin face will be out before that.
