I agree Ela... ridiculous it is... 😡Originally posted by: elasingh
I guess that a wife should be insulted and humiliated publicly for denying conjugal rights to her husband...
Of course she pushed him that night ( he fell because he was drunk) and for that she should be humiliated publicly and Abul Mali's mistress should be respected...Of cource it is husband's right that he should taunt her for her sister's running away and conveniently forget what his own sister did to her and she never taunted...All in all a woman falls in love when she is insulted and humiliated...becoz it is a pay back time for her...

I totally agree how Jalaal feels and a man in the 16th century would've felt being rejected by his wife in the era of polygamy...
But But does it justify Jalaal's act of shouting wide open in DEK in front of everyone as to how she never satisfied ANY duty of a wife?????Is physical relationship the only aspect of married life?So entire Agra needed to know this?Jalaal disappointed me big time today. I was open mouthed meghna. Its Jo -Ja that brought me here. But am hating how the creative have managed to massacre both characters at different points in time.

HI, I really didn't get the point what you said. What Jalal managed to hide from the public?? Is it about their night war?
Meghna- great analysis and true on many levels. From a real life perspective, I absolutely agree- no Shehenshah would have tolerated this type of Jodha all these months. But in serial land- in a world where Jalal is told to have promised Jodha that he will not touch him (I know they never showed that) then we cannot hold that against Jodha now.
I am also not sure if jodha's behavior early on was completely her fault-there was the mandir attack, the unfair killing of suryaban, and the MC accusal- reasons for her to be rude to Jalal. It was not just the political marriage as per the movie. And the serial Jalal tolerated it. that was how he was already characterized so not sure if I am convinced that suddenly he becomes a pure 16th century king and behaves the same way.I think Jodha has done a quite a bit for Jalal in the serial as a wife- she took the care to cook for him, supported him emotionally when BB was found guilty for the fake pregnancy, helped him find his awaam's love, and saved his marriage with Ruks. Compare that to what Ruqs has done in the serial. On Jalal's end, he helped her sister's wedding and saved her in the fake pregnancy. Just as the fake pregnancy track was a turning point for Jodha, the suicide track served as the same for Jalal.I still don't know who won and who lost from the tiger track. The same with the suicide track- I think it was Jalal's duty to save her. Am I missing something else that Jalal did for her in terms of unconditional support? That being said, while I don't think it is a fair payback especially in public- this track has been important for Jodha to recognize how much she appreciates Jalal's respect and support. With both Jalal and Jodha in the dumps, it hopefully can only go up now. It is about time the story moves from them being against each other to fighting odds together.

Ela,
I knew today's episode would upset you and so would my review. Its because you are seeing it only from Jodha's or modern day woman's perspective. Its hard to keep the count and there is no point in it, but Jodha insulted Jalal many times by her bitter tongue. She accused him of being lustful many times. Just because she was Jalal's favorite she got away with everything. Can you imagine in those days any woman would dare to do what Jodha did. It was not just refusing physical contact, but her constant bitter tongue that did it.
Yes, it should not have been brought in public. But Jodha was praised in public many times, Jalal asked for forgiviness in public also. Today Ruqu started it and Jalal supported her. He did not support Jodha like he always did, why? It was because of Jodha's constant pushing Jalal away.
