How can they show this on TV, that too on such a popular channel like Zee TV. I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by such a bad portrayal of people with mental disabilities and their situation on TV. That dream that Supriya had? What the hell was that??
Honestly the huge stigma some countries have on mental health is just so stupid. Brain disorders are health problems like any other issues such as cancer, diabetes, and what not.
People who already are suffering from mental health feel excluded from the society and have little to no social interactions due to the stigma on these disorders. Some good families do their best to help these people while others lock them up and pretend that they never existed, or lock them up in mental asylums. What the show did today was absolutely disgusting. This is 4 steps back from fighting the stigma against mental illness. How could the producers justify that. Supriya belongs in a wealthy family. Even if a child born in the family has mental disabilities, they could do their best to treat him. Instead of showing that, the producers decide to show this disgusting dream sequence where she gets horrified of the baby. ARE YOU f**kING SERIOUS????? Why can't they think of families that have kids like that and who are going through so much everyday to raise them, love them and treat them? This is so discouraging. Sorry if I ranted too much. I am usually a silent reader but today's episode crossed all limits of wrong.
