MY Favorite PICs. : HIs expression here when he realizes just how much she trust him. His disbelief, guilt is written plainly on his face. (Which is part of his redeeming factor)

What can I say about this scene. Vickram was sure he was going to be exposed by Gulabiya. He was bracing himself for that. He almost admitted the truth but chickened out at the end when she said she was going to kill herself!.
The story might have had a different outcome had he told the truth!
Anyways a brilliant performance from both Gulki and Varun. . !!!!

I felt so bad for him in this scene. I think that this was when he finally realised just how much Sugni trusted him, the extent his lies had reached to and what would happen when the truth came out.

I think the writers should have let him confess the truth here in the mandir to her.

I think below 2 pictures clearly show that it has dawned on him just how much she trusts him. This is when his consious kicks in and he goes to the mendir.
The pic below when he hugs her, you can see the realisation that she has put her absolute faith in him
I know she said she would kill herself but this is the moment he should realised that he needed to come clean but instead at that point he decided that there was no turning back.
He said later to Dhanuma that he could not let Sugni down when she had given up eveything for him. I also think this was the reason that no matter how much she pushed him he took it because she trusted him more than anyone even God (She said that even to Amma) and he had broken that trust.

This scene was harrowing to watch and to my mind really showed how self centered and cruel Aditya was as a person - to manhandle and frog march a girl and throw her across the threashold and to call her filth, vermin who should not breath the same air as him was deplorable/despicable.
We are all God's creatures and it is said that God has cast each one of us in his own shadow so we all have the right to exist. Who was he to say otherwise.
Yes he suffered in his childhod. No child wants to see one's parent suffering. However he was not a child but an adult who should have been able to rationalise that whilst what happened was wrong you cannot blame a whole group people for the actions of one of them and it was his father's choice to go with the bedni. He was the one in control, no one forced him.
So why take it out on a complete stranger. That was the one time I really was angry with TVS. He did not stop Adi or give him hell for behaving like that. He should have done.

Well in this scene, sparked my dislike for the Adi. Character, that i never got over. Sad to say it was a part of this character that was with Adi through out. The way we subsequently treated Amrita and Sugni again when he thought she cheated on him. And sorry no amount of walking through fire will help that!. An abuser is always one in my book.!
Comming back to the scene, Adi's reaction to seeing Sugni there, reminding him of his father and what he did. It showed him to be that impulsive man who did not think before her acted. It also shows his disrespect for women. Vickram in the scene was confused as to what was going on , and was trying to figure it out ...but then he realized what it was that was the cause of Adi's actions.
@Payal I agree that he did not stop Adi or say anything...when he should have ...but i think every one was in shock at his actions, he kept asking him "what's going on what are you doing?" (or something like that. I am assuming the reason he did not take Adi to task was that he understood it had to do with his childhood , as the next scene with the tree stated.
All in all I did not like Adi from then on and till the end nothing changed my opinion!

That scene for me was also when I started despising Aditya right to the end of the show. I absolutely HATE men who treat women like that. He clearly showed that he was an abuser and it's too bad Amu didn't buy a clue from that incident, otherwise she would have been spared that slap later on.

Aditya: For me this was the essence of Adi and maybe the CVs thought by replacing the actor with a softer feminine male, it would dim the memory of this episode and make viewers accept Adini. But that did not happen. He was already tainted and a villain for me.
After seeing this absolute hatred for Sugni and all bednis, it was so unrealistic that Adi would have fallen in love with her. That was just too far-fetched!!
Sugni: after experiencing this treatment from Aditya, then to "fall in love", trust him and defend him - it spoke volumes about her character and none of it nice. Why leave the pot to jump into the fire?
Vikram: I agree with Vinnie here, that he was in shock like the others. He did apologise to her after though which is something I believe Aditya never did.
