haahah The pleasure is all mine😆I am glad you found it worth a LOL😆

I too wanted to give a fair chance to this guy who is playing Aditya, but ...

This guy was supposed to have left everything and come running to a village that he hates just because his uncle broke his leg, and yet, when I looked at the real scene between Aditya and Vikram, that Uncle-Nephew bonding was totally missing. Oh the affection from the Uncle's side was perfectly present, but was zilch from the Nephew's side.
WORD!! the warmth was so lacking and the expressions bland🤢

And I agree to both of you about the "Panti" bit. He looks way too serious to use such a slang. It might've looked cute if someone like Amrita said such a thing.
Yup it looks far from cute and the actor makes it too BLAH!!Actually panti word iis used very commonly in MP and guys use it as a slang..But I donno why it is just so out of sync with his character

Okay he suffered due to a bendni, but how is his anger justified towards any other bendni? If he weighs every bendni in the same scale, then he seems like a bad judge of character. And acting wise, the anger displayed was dis-proportional to the actual fact that happened several years ago and directed towards someone oblivious to all of that and no way related.

Here I beg to disagree that though unjustified yet one has to feel for the angst and the prejudice of the character against the whole clan but honestly the actor with his scarce acting skills made it unrelatable and it certainly it did not touch the heart

To me it looks like a wrong casting for the role of Aditya.

Yup ..I am still in shock and really wondering what went wrong with the casting directors😕

Anu..Hiya..🤗So true ..The minute she senses the helplessness OF vikram is the point where she actually takes a stand .All the while she just stares at Vikram instead of Aditya.though the scene was supposed to be all about Adi- and his angst and his subsequent lashing at Sugni..But no..All I could focus was on VS😆So very well executed👏

Aditya is just too artificial for this supposedly seething angry young man role he's playing...no point wasting much breath on him waise bhi.

Yup so true..I really tried very very hard to give this boy a chance but hell no ,He proved to be a mere fizzle a complete ice cold performance😆

VS continue to be powerful and engaging even in the scattered 2-3 minutes of screen-time they get.

Ya well That's exactly what the magic of the show lies.Isn't it?

I was a little perturbed when Aditya made his entry and I genuinely tried to give him one fair chance .Honestly speaking Aditya as a character is fine and absolutely could have been intriguing given to the slow building up of his family history. The flashback of his father sitting with a bedni and his subsequent turmoil nad simmering hatred could have been really fascinating if the actor had made some efforts..But the angst ,the pathos or as a matter of fact the agony was lacking .Somehow it dod not connect to the heart warna to you know my weakness for for angry, agonised and hurt people 😉but yaar the feeling was genuinely missing. The level of hurt, betrayal and pain could just not transcend into his eyes 😕If he had emoted well that could have been a helluva scene but you actually feel like yawning🥱

Now coming to the scene of Aditya throwing away Sugni in anger. The anger was so superficial😆I was actually ROFL-ing.No I am not bashing the actor. If I were to comment..I would say he was fair enough.

Though I must admit that the actor is far better in acting skills than the so called hawwt show wala sulking hunks who just pine the girl against the wall in the name of hatred and maintain a poker face, but still Pitching such an average actor against the likes of Narayani,Varun and that too in a character who has such various shades and a strong history of hurt ,betrayal and pain which has led him to become one sulky character is too disapointing. All I can say is -All meat no spice -given to the fact that he is handsome in the true sense of the word.

Ok coming to tthe Uncle nephew scene near the tree.Again a bland one in terms of acting. The scene could have been a very potent one with lost of emotions but rehne de kya kahu...

Oh BTW I was reminded of Agneepath(Hrithik Wala) scene of the chotu Vijay with his father and near the tree too.The flashback of the father son bonding was such a powerful scene nad it crashed miserably due to the lack of warmth of his acting skills.

Oh what an irony .Isnt it?we are actually rooting for the dynamics of a couple who from DAY1 have been calm and on a level of mutual respect and peaceful co-existence{VS} rather that the conventional time tested formula of - "I hate you so much to turning into a -I love you so much "Couple (AS)😆

As of now..My assumption is that the show might just prove to be a fascinating journey of the metamorphosis of two characters who are a complete contrastive juxtaposition to each other .

Aditya-the hot headed impulsive arrogant brash slowly learning to be calm and the Vikram -the calm, witty and dignified Thakur to a person who will fall for Sugni

Both serving as a foil to each other ,both in love with same girl and both gradually becoming what they are not.

Ahhh IF ONLY THIS ADITYA COULD ACT!!

Not forgetting that their journey with Sugni can also be a part of their metamorphosis-

The mutual respect between VS slowly transcending into a push and pull .

and the mutual hatred between AS transforming into mutual respect...

Lol but thats just me..😆reading too much between the lines jab ki we know how they can completely mar the essence of the characters within a matter of seconds

LOL even I tried to give Aditya a fair chance, Piu but honestly the guy just goes from bad to worse...did you watch yesterday's epi and his supposedly "emotional" memories about his father while talking to Vikram? GODDD...such a WASTE all this material is on this guy...he is so lacking in depth with his acting.

I think I kinda understand why they were wanting NB or MR for this role😆...they would have taken that scene to a different level while this guy just keeps shouting like an annoying petulant sa brat.

But word to everything else you said...as a STORY it could have been wonderful to see all these characters involving...but given how superficial Aditya is coming across right now, that aspect of the story is just not coming through...and VS continue to be the saving grace...oh I have to say I like Amrita more now too...even she deserves better than this Aditya😆

AreYaar,
very well described.

Sugni kept staring at Vik with those expectation filled eyes only to be dejected at the end. But she kind of understood it was something beyond his control and she didn't end up getting angry at him for failing her (even after how she thought he would be different from the rest of the Thakur's).
But I'm afraid what I also saw in that scene was that by making Vik keep quiet, they kind of justified the unwarranted and humongous anger of Aditya. This was just one instance, but I don't know if they will continue this in future too - anytime, they want to justify Aditya's stand, make Vikram keep quiet (or rather make him a weak character.)

You have a point...I don't want them to show Vikram as a weak character either...but it does seem that in Adi's case, he lets him get away with a lot...he dotes on him...so dunno how that will play out in the future...cuz otherwise Vikram literally has the power to shut up anyone around him...but Adi seems to get much more leeway from him.

Hahaha Anu..You cannot imagine What I exactly wanted to do watching yesterday's opening sceneI wanted to find the one who selected this guy over MR and NB and shake him asking him what exactly was he thinking 😕I agree the backdrop is so rich but the acting so shallow😆Oh his voice is horrendous and the emotional warmth is so lacking

Manzil

I am fine with your disagreement. I think it is personal choice. But, just to clarify -

The issue I saw was - I agree, Aditya was wronged. He lost his normal childhood and also had to live watching the plight of his mother. As an audience I will sympathize with that part. But it was either his father or that bendni's mistake, or something else ..I don't want to go there. The point is , if in the script, they have the guy take that anger on Sugni, then no, I disagree to it and they lose my sympathy to the guy as a viewer. Because that is wrong. If that is what the script has and if the script is not convincing, it next depends on the actor to raise it above the script to make it convincing. But in both accounts it was a failed attempt.

Coming back to Amrita on whom this topic is made, In yday's (10th May) episode, Amrita seemed such a sweet heart. She not just felt bad by the way Aditya treated Sugni, she in addition wanted to apologize to her and she does.

I somehow having this bad feeling that this character will be bumped off to clear way for A-S pairing so that we don't have to root against Amrita!

I had taken the all the NB and MR news and then the report that Anuj had been taken to mean that NB and MR had both passed on this role. I don't think we can blame the casting for Aditya not being portrayed by NB or MR. I think we can blame them for casting whom eventually decided to cast.
