Ok for me...As of now..I am so shocked seeing the yawn inducing screen presence of Aditya..I was giving the actor a fair chance but todays episode made me change my stance when the level of emotions should have been an exotic high..The guy just failed miserably to express. And for me...Aditya Sugni scene though interesting but acting wise it made me horribly irritated and I so agree with Anu.. - "panti"Dialogues are so super artificial *yawns again*.Amrita IMO is sweet but too naive.I am still little baffled that how could they pitch in such an average actor amidst powerhouse performers. The Aditya History was interesting so his hatred for the Bednis but the actor just ruined everything for me.The hurt ,the anger, the pain looked so artificial.*head desk*

Anyways..I am done with Aditya Suguni for now..But I really lubbed the little eye play between Sugni and Vikram when she looked at him with a little hope but he just lowers his eyes failing her thats when she shoves the hand of Dhanu Ma...

👏
LOL.😆 @mazilmukul,that was one funny post

I too wanted to give a fair chance to this guy who is playing Aditya, but ...

This guy was supposed to have left everything and come running to a village that he hates just because his uncle broke his leg, and yet, when I looked at the real scene between Aditya and Vikram, that Uncle-Nephew bonding was totally missing. Oh the affection from the Uncle's side was perfectly present, but was zilch from the Nephew's side.

And I agree to both of you about the "Panti" bit. He looks way too serious to use such a slang. It might've looked cute if someone like Amrita said such a thing.

Okay he suffered due to a bendni, but how is his anger justified towards any other bendni? If he weighs every bendni in the same scale, then he seems like a bad judge of character. And acting wise, the anger displayed was dis-proportional to the actual fact that happened several years ago and directed towards someone oblivious to all of that and no way related.

To me it looks like a wrong casting for the role of Aditya.

@ AreYaar & manzilmukul

I agree with you both regarding the Aditya+Sugni dynamic. Aditya hasn't impressed me at all. The actor lacks good screen presence and he doesn't emote that well. The actress who plays Sugni is fantastic at emoting and has a good screen presence. The actor who plays Vikram also has a strong screen presence. That's why Sugni+Vikram click so well together! 😊

I was looking forward to watching the Vikram+Sugni dynamic but now since Aditya is the lead, I don't think I will be able to watch this show much longer. 😔

I tried to chart out the family tree - (a quick attempt) [Writing out would take too long!]

It it looks like Aditya's grandfather's brother's wife's brother's illegitimate child (not illegitimate as per Bedias) is Sugni. By that way, Sugni will be Aditya's Aunt! Cannot deny blood relations even though Gulabiya had no choice in who can do her Sardhakai.

I'm behind on the episodes cause I wait for subs. Wait, what? Other than Jwala's wife who is sister of Haldi, there is another relation? Jwala's sister is married to Haldi?

As for Aditya, I'll reserve judgment till I watch more episodes. As I said, I'm going to be two episodes behind unless Zee changes this idiotic decision to delay broadcast abroad.

Word, Piu...that little exchange of looks b/w VS when Aditya is trying to kick Sugni out of the house was the only truly engaging moment of the epi I'd say...it's possibly the first time that VIKRAM lowered his eyes in front of Sugni...his helplessness in that moment and he can't meet her eyes cuz he knows she doesn't deserve this humiliation and I just loved that Sugni EXPECTED him to stop it for the longest time...she kept looking ONLY at him waiting for him to say something to stop all this...and when she finally realized he won't, THEN she shoved off Dhanumaa's hand and finally left.

Aditya is just too artificial for this supposedly seething angry young man role he's playing...no point wasting much breath on him waise bhi.

VS continue to be powerful and engaging even in the scattered 2-3 minutes of screen-time they get.

Yes, likarsh, they revealed that in Tuesday (8th May)'s episode, which as you mentioned you haven't watched it yet. (Hey which country is that? We at US get same day's episode as in India).

Jwala's sister was actually married to Haldi Thakur (Vikram's chacha). This was revealed in a conversational manner. Jwala and Haldi get into war of words, the conversation veers towards Jwala's sister. It seems that, that lady had committed suicide by burning herself. This is one of the reasons for the animosity between the 2 Thakur families. (Not yet sure if there are more reasons). To which Haldi, in a nonchalant way answers back saying he hadn't given her the match-stick to light herself! In that conversation it was also clearly revealed that Haldi is not the brother of Jwala's wife, they just treat each other as brother-sister, just a namesake relation.

That is the reason why I had to draw out the chart of their family tree, it was getting too confusing 😆

AreYaar,
very well described.

Sugni kept staring at Vik with those expectation filled eyes only to be dejected at the end. But she kind of understood it was something beyond his control and she didn't end up getting angry at him for failing her (even after how she thought he would be different from the rest of the Thakur's).
But I'm afraid what I also saw in that scene was that by making Vik keep quiet, they kind of justified the unwarranted and humongous anger of Aditya. This was just one instance, but I don't know if they will continue this in future too - anytime, they want to justify Aditya's stand, make Vikram keep quiet (or rather make him a weak character.)

Thanks for the explanation, bee.

I'm in the US currently--but I watch the Eng Subbed vids from online. When the uploaders in all the Zee shows said Zee had a delay of two days for the subbed videos, I figured it meant the broadcasts abroad all over. I guess not?
