I agree with every word of your post. I would really like to see soham remain on the good side as he went through a lot within his own self to overcome the evil in him. Archana also tried to keep him away from it. He made a drastic effort and if he choose to go back down that lane, then it would all be useless and worthless. Its better he had remain how he was. Well we have to expect the unexpected with this show. I dont really know what soham will turn out to be, but his character was one i was taking a liking to. I liked the way he struggled and how he overcame every temptation

I have begun to wonder if the whole reason the track has taken this turn, with Soham not getting Gauri (and literally not deserving her anymore), and him turning into Vishnu Lala, is because Soham will not be there after the time leap, so they need to find a story of what happened to him. Possibly kill him off... 😕

Really and truly, I dont want to go back down the OVI lane.

What I am saying is that Ovi and Soham was brought up in different environment and with different sanskars. Therefore, it is expected or natural for them to behave different when put in similar situations although I believe the situation is different.

Soham was brought up in a bad environment and has lived like that for years. He knew nothing more. He was not educated either. Archana found him and decided that she will accept him and help him change. But do you expect for soham to change overnight? do you expect for him to love his brother sachin overnight although sachin has not wholeheartedly accepted soham?

I dont expect soham to change overnight. He was suppose to get counseling and different socialisation over a period of time. What he was accustomed to for years, he cannot just walk away and forget it. Its his past and still part of his life. He has to now work on how to forget that past, recognise that it was not the right one and then move on. It is natural for him to snap back into his old ways as he has not even benefited from any professional counseling.

Ovi threw a heavily pregnant Purvi out of Deshmukh house just because she could not stand her presence although Purvi had brought Onir from Kolkata to treat Ovi.

Ovi didnt behave that well either considering she got a Canadian education and was brought up amidst wealth and comfort, not like Soham who was deprived of everything, education, wealth, comfort, good society.

Manav has not even added him to his Will yet, but of course his darling adopted son Sachin gets equal shares with his other bio kids!

Sachin too has always behaved horribly with Soham! He was extremely mean and rude to Soham all along, even when Soham just arrived at Deshmukh chawl, Sachin left the dinner table when Soham came to eat. Hes always fought with Soham and put him down!

Sachin always got importance and love from Manav while Soham got mainly taunts and curses... so Im not surprised at Soham for attacking him when his envy at Sachin always getting everything good in life, spilled over into fury and hatred!

Ovi's eyes spilled hatred whenever she looked at Purvi in those days, if she was a guy brought up as a goon, Im sure she would have stabbed Purvi with the nearest knife. Like they say, If looks could kill, Purvi would be dead! 😆

If Soham had started night school, and worked in Manav's company, that would have boosted his self confidence and improved his self worth. Then probably he would not have behaved like a sociopath at Gauri's rejection. He would have accepted it and moved on. Thats how I feel!

His male ego was hurt at the rejection as he thinks Sachin is preferred by Gauri because of his profession and better earnings. He thinks Sachin gets preferential treatment at home too, by Armaan, because hes a lawyer and Soham is neglected because hes a nobody!
