I honestly don't know why I wrote this and why I'm even posting this but yeah here you guys go, another typical OS 🤔 This isn't very detailed, just loads of Arjun and Purvi fluff along with the struggles of reality. :)
ADORN//
Arjun just wanted someone to talk to. He wanted someone to listen to him. He wanted to share his fears and secrets with somebody. His mother was gone and his father was preoccupied with work which made him realize that he truly had no one. Arjun's day consisted of working and devoting himself to it. It's not that he didn't love it, it's just that he wanted more to his life.
Then came Purvi to spice up Arjun's life. At first he felt that it was as if God wanted to irritate him using Purvi as his pawn. She seemed innocent enough on the first day they met. She was just a girl in dire need for a job; Arjun had been in her position once so of course he couldn't resist.
After Purvi got settled and comfortable in her work environment and with Arjun, her true self came out. She was nothing like the shy, quiet, polite girl she portrayed herself to be in the first few weeks. Purvi was surprisingly very friendly and outgoing. However, the only person in the office she seemed to be close to was Arjun.

"You're seriously here on your lunch break, Ms. Deshmukh?" Arjun asked while he studied his paperwork. He looked up and saw Purvi's wide eyes filled with happiness as usual.
"Not to be disrespectful or anything sir," she began. "but you're so BORING! All you do is work all day so I've got to make sure to you get at least an hour to just let loose!"
Arjun rolled his eyes in annoyance which signaled Purvi to keep talking. As she began to speak about how her rather dull day, he began to notice the small details about her. From the way her hair managed to bounce with excitement along with her to the way her cheeks would flush pink whenever she smiled.
"Arjun sir, are you not paying attention?" she snapped. "You know what, how about YOU talk for once?" Purvi snatched the folder he was reading making Arjun look up at her.
"Talk about what?"
"I don't know... how was your day?"
"It was okay."
Purvi sighed and rested her elbow on his desk. "OH! I wanted to invite you to something."
"Hmmm?" Arjun shot her a confused look.
She dug through her bag and pulled out a small envelope with 'Arjun Kirloskar' written across it in her extremely unique handwriting. Purvi slid it across the desk.
"What's this?"
"I'm... er... getting engaged."
"You don't sound too excited for something being engaged."
"Have you been engaged?"
"Once. It was horrible."
"Why?"
"I just... I didn't like the girl that way, you know? She wasn't what I wanted in a girlfriend/wife."
"What do you want in a girlfriend or wife?"
At this point, Arjun and Purvi looked directly into each other's eyes. She was just so curious and intriguing, she was driving him mad.
"I'm not really sure anymore. Sometimes my life just feels so empty and meaningless - I want someone who can take all those feelings away. Someone to just talk to and love. Someone I can adorn and shower with love. Someone I can comfort and opens up easily. Perhaps my polar opposite," Arjun finished with a chuckle.
Purvi's face lit up in surprise. To think that her boss wasn't so boring after all! "You know, I have a friend..."
Arjun gave Purvi a warm smile. "No, no - I don't do good with hook ups. I just told you about my last fiancee!"
"Then how are you going to find a girl?"
"I don't know... I feel like she'll just stumble into my life."

Arjun and Purvi's daily talks became even more personal daily while they both began to grow even closer and get attached to each other.
Arjun had even taken her along to a conference in Pune just because he couldn't imagine a week without his sunshine.
With the persistance of various business managers and owners, Arjun and Purvi danced for the first time which turned out to be a better choice than excepted. She suddenly began to think about her home life and began to tell Arjun about it to break their silence.
It was the first time Arjun saw Purvi frown and just be genuinely down, affecting his mood as well. Purvi was legally adopted by Archana Deshmukh, a woman who turned out to be a friend of Arjun's father. She never got to meet her real parents who had died in a car accident which was the same cause of death as Arjun's mother.
Hearing Arjun's story made Purvi teary eyed, yet she quick to blink the tears away. Purvi rested her head in the crook of Arjun's neck, her hair beginning to cover her face while she closed her eyes. Arjun was surprised, but gently wrapped his arms around her.
Arjun knew it was wrong - the girl was going to get married soon for heaven's sake!
However, what he wasn't sure about was why Purvi looked so comfortable and happy in his arms. Could it be because she was just as confused as he was or was it just because of her outgoing nature? Whatever it was, this event had been the start of their friendship, the reason why the 'sir' was dropped from Arjun's name, and the reason why Arjun had more happiness in his life.

On the day of Purvi's engagement ceremony, Arjun had been running late. Despite all of their vents and heart-to-heart conversations, he still couldn't get out of work; even for Purvi. Arjun sighed as he hit a red light.
He checked his phone and had recieved no new calls or text messages from Purvi. "She probably hates me right now," he mumbled to himself before the light turned green and he continued driving.
Driving through the stormy clouds and fog irritated Arjun even more. He peered towards the passenger window and drop right past a lonely Purvi. It didn't hit him that it was Purvi that he saw, HIS Purvi until a few seconds after. He immediately put the car into reverse and parked his car in an empty spot.
Arjun came out of the car and saw Purvi sitting alone on a public bench, not even acknowledging his presence. He took a seat next to her and put his hand on top of hers which made her look up.
"Arjun!"
"Purvi, what are you doing here?"
"I can't get engaged to Vinay." Purvi looked up at Arjun in desperation while small sprinkles of rain started to come down and adorn them. She wrapped her arms around him and hid her head against his neck.
He knew he shouldn't have, but Arjun started to feel perky at the thought of an untaken and free Purvi. He put an arm around her body and gave her a tight squeeze. After resting his head on top of hers, he began with his interrogation. "What happened? Did he hurt you? I swear to God..."
"It's nothing like that," she breathed; feeling intoxicated from their position. "It's just... he wanted me for money," Purvi explained, feeling disgusted all over again. "His family would constantly ask about my salary, but then we found out that they just wanted dowry and money."
"What the hell! Purvi, you broke the engagement right? That's it- he's getting fired," Arjun uttered in fury. He felt Purvi nod against him. "You deserve so much better than him."
The rain began to come down even harder while Purvi emerged unwillingly from Arjun's warm embrace.
She stood up, confusing Arjun and showed off her sublime smile. "I'm okay though, really. I just needed some time to think."
Arjun stood up and came closer and closer to her, making Purvi's heart pound faster and faster. "Are you sure?"
Purvi nodded and shot him a sweet smile. "I'm single now and I've got all this freedom- who wouldn't be happy?" she threw her arms up and looked up, making her face parallel with the sky. Purvi enjoyed the raindrops falling on her, it was like taking a refreshing breath of air.
Arjun observed her as she began to dance & flock around and laughed. She was definitely was like no other, in fact she was a free bird. Somehow Purvi managed to convince Arjun to join her and they didn't finish their show until they were both soaking wet. Purvi didn't know what had come over her - she suddenly went from being solemn to unrestrained.
"Okay, that's enough- I don't want you to catch a cold and miss work," he winked.
"Arjuuun!" she whined in response. "I would never miss work! We can't let this opportunity go to waste- it never rains here!"
"Purvi, are you kidding me? It just rained last night!" he laughed.
His laughter made Purvi feel warm and bubbly inside (and a teensy bit more intoxicated than she already felt).
"Someone clearly slipped something into your food or something," he said in a softer voice while wrapping his arms around her neck. Purvi giggled as she did the same.
"You CLEARLY don't know me well enough," Purvi declared while she leaned in. They were forehead-to-forehead.
"Well, I know you're extrovert and I love it," he admitted. "you're beautiful, strong, different... a great dancer," Arjun chuckled.
Purvi felt so warm and loved in Arjun's presence. "I wish you were in Vinay's presence, I wish I was getting engaged to YOU!" she giggled, clearly having too much fun to realize what she was saying.
Arjun was in clear shock. "You're high off something, aren't you?" he laughed her statement off, but it remained lingering in his thoughts. "Come on, I'll drop you off at home."
"You're no fun," Purvi groaned as she walking towards the car. Arjun opened the door for her and went to the driver's side.
"That's what happens when you become Arjun Kirloskar," he sighed. Arjun pulled out some tissues from the glove compartment and handed them to Purvi. She smiled back in gratitude.
"How did you even manage to get this far from your house?" Arjun questioned, his interrogation starting up again.
"I just took a rickshaw and then started walking," Purvi explained while belting out a yawn.
The rest of the car ride consisted of Arjun asking Purvi if she was okay at least 37 times and Purvi's attempts to sleep not working out due to bumpy roads. By the time they reached the house, Purvi looked like she had fallen asleep on Arjun's shoulder which was quite a sight for him. He put the wisps of hair that stuck to her damp face behind her ear before gently kissing her forehead.
"Purvi, you will be the cause of my death," he mumbled before trying to wake her up unwillingly. She looked so peaceful in her sleep and he was not ready to deal with a cranky Purvi. Before he could even ask her to wake up, her eyes fluttered open with her eyelashes tickling his neck.
"What's that supposed to mean?" she questioned innocently.
"Oh... er... um... nothing," Arjun stammered sheepishly. "We're here."
"I know," Purvi flatly stated. "No goodbye kiss? Or was that last one when I was 'asleep' the only one I get?" she teased.
Arjun sighed before getting out of the car and opening her door.
"Thank you for everything by the way," she blurted out before rushing into his embrace again.
"Purvi, are you sure you're okay?" he asked before returning her tight hold.
Arjun felt Purvi nod against him. "It's just, I've never been so close to anyone before- I've never had someone to dance with in the rain, hug and kiss out of nowhere, someone I could cry with, no one that would protect me... and yeah... it's just such a nice feeling to have somebody."
After Purvi confessed how much Arjun meant to her, he didn't want to let her go at all. "Goodnight," he simply said before pulling her away from her. Arjun kissed Purvi again on her forehead, making her stomach fill up with butterflies.
He watched her saunter up the stairs joyfully and wave one last goodbye before disappearing into her home.
This event was another important one in their lives- this made Arjun and Purvi both realize the feelings they had for each other and helped them achieve a whole new level of comfort. Arjun gained confidence to win Purvi over like never before at the news of Vinay out of her life, while Purvi wasn't going to let go of Arjun anytime soon.

"Arjun, have I ever told you how amazing you are?" Purvi asked as she stared at the stars that lit up the sky.
The two were lying down on top of Arjun's car. In between going to parties and business conferences, Arjun and Purvi were thirsty for a day, night, or even anything as short as a moment to themselves. Of course, when they get the much wanted night, they end up spending it with each other!
"Nope, but that's much appreciated," he smirked. "Why?"
"I don't know, this is just so sweet!" Purvi exclaimed while turning sideways to face Arjun.
As Arjun did the same, he laughed. "Here I am trying to spoil you and you want to climb on top of my car in the middle of no where. Pagali," he nagged.
"Arjun, chup! I'm fine with all of this!" Purvi said in all honestly. "It also leaves more money for food," she winked.
"Ahh, so that explains it."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, judge me."
"I've done enough judging on the first day I met you," he admitted. "To think I thought you were a quiet, simple girl!"
"You actually fell for it! I just act like that sometimes... you never know if someone can put up with your true self and of course it turns out you're the only one that can!"
"Well, then we got closer..."
"Started from the bottom now we're here!"
Arjun sighed. "Purvi, here I am trying to be romantic and you're ruining the moment! Shhh!"
Purvi's eyes went wide with curiosity as she remained silent.
"Okay so Purvi Spawn-Of-The-Devil Deshmukh," he began.
"That's not very romantic!" Purvi pointed out as she pouted.
Arjun put his finger over her lips while he continued to talk. "As I was saying until you so rudely interrupted, somewhere along the lines, we got closer than I ever imagined. You came like a whirlwind into my life and I'm definitely not complaining. In fact, I'm pretty grateful. You taught me how to live my life, you changed me for the better, you wiped away all my fears and worries. Then, I don't know what happened, but I just happened to fall in love with you." After getting that off his chest, he sat up and looked over at Purvi.
"Arjun!" she exclaimed. "Did you really mean all that?"
Arjun saw Purvi's eyes well up with tears which he silently hoped were of joy. He nodded while taking hold of her hands.
"Well this sucks! I actually don't see you that way..." she bluntly said while looking down.
"What?" was all that Arjun was able to say before he saw Purvi snickering.
"Don't worry Romeo, I'm just kidding," she giggled looking at Arjun's relieved expression.
Arjun grabbed onto Purvi and pulled her onto his lap. Purvi struggled to get off, but Arjun kept his grasp tight on her waist. "This is exactly why you're a spawn of the devil."
She playfully slapped him before she turned serious. "Remember our very first lunches in the office? Yeah, that's when I started with those silly high school types of crushes," Purvi began while putting her hands on top of Arjun's. "Then, our first dance? That's when the crush turned into an actual like like!" she exclaimed as she squeezed his hands. "And then the night of my 'engagement', that's when I fell in love with you... hard. You even thought I was high! I was just in love, ya know."
"I swear, you're the cutest thing," he praised as he rested his chin on her shoulder.
"Don't try to butter me up, this is the part where we kiss and live happily ever after like in the movies!"
"Ehhh... maybe later."
"ARJUN!" Purvi protested with another one of her signature pouts.
Arjun laughed, adding to Purvi's warmth, before giving her a quick peck.
"You got your kiss, now can I get something?" he asked sincerely.
"You're not getting sex, so don't ask."
"I was just going to ask you to smile for me..."
"Oh... I'm sorry babe!" Purvi apologized while smiling brightly.
Purvi tried to get up from Arjun's grasp again, but Arjun protested by showering her face with kisses.
"You know what I realized?" he asked, in complete ecstasy.
"What?"
"I asked God for a girl like you, then you came into my life."
"Really? That's funny. I asked God to give meaning to my life, then you came along."
