If this is the case then asha negi and rd's fans should be happy that their fav actors are getting a chance to prove their caliber as an actor by playing 40+ role. Ankita has already proved herself by playing mother to 5. Now its their turn

AnkitA has portrayed the character of Archana in a way which has made her hugely popular. She is not just another pretty face on TV , even as a debutant she stood out. You have very right not to respect her or like her . And she has every right to make her choices in life.
She does not want to play an old lady at this stage. It was her choice. She left the show , she could have been easily replaced but she was brought back.
Neither shweta tiwari nor sakshi tanwar looked old in their shows even when they were grandmothers in their serials.
And many serials close down because the actors refuse leaps.
So ankita is no exception.
People may like to call her names in this forum or twitter or any other place. But nothing or no one can take away her achievements.
Comparison with films is totally absurd because the length of the character in a serial is for months and years .

Hey no one is taking away the choice from ankita or putting her down. I am certain that she is well respected and everyone loves her in her role as archana. I too love her in that role.

I certainly have not said that I don't like her... in fact I enjoy her portrayal of her character. However I would respect her more if she was willing to display her acting talents and be more versatile.
I would love to see her as an aged person. Her expressions are incredible!

We have no problem if RD and Asha play parents of 20 yr olds...😆 But if Ankita plays Pari then what abt the great love story of ArMaan? Gone with the wind? 😕

I would love to watch purvi and arjun married and growing old together while playing the role of mom and dad to pari. Its logical and progressive. It just seem funny to me that archana who played her role for so long will now be coming back in the show as her daughter daughter. Watching one face as purvi's mother and now the same face as purvi's daughter. Think about it.

btw sbs didn't say anki will nt play archana if she plays pari. Like tina dutta in uttaran she may play both pari and archana

I don't think one can compare movies and shows. In a show which runs for a good year or more, the actress gets typecast in a certain role. In movies, they get a chance to do a variety of roles in one year and hence can take the risk of playing old or disabled or whatever to showcase a different side to acting.

In this case, Ankita would play a grandmom for another year, continuously. Plus, they are bound by contracts, due to which she can only do PR and no other soap to show her variability or versatility as an actress. As a young upcoming actress, she cannot afford that, because people in the business ( directors, producers, casting agents) will only watch her in a grandma role and type cast her in that. Why would a 25 year old young actress take that chance? Especially when Ankita is beautiful and talented and can try a hand at Bollywood.

The actress playing Prerna in KZK and the actress playing Priya in BALH, got pretty type cast due to their past roles. Prerna did not come in any show for a long time and only ended up doing reality shows, until Parvarish the show came up, in which she plays a mom to two teenage kids. And Prerna, even though she is a little less than 30, is playing more mature roles opposite older men like ram Kapoor. For such a young age, they are pretty type cast in the TV business. They aren't going to get to play young girls now. They will only get more mature roles. That is fine.

But in the case of Tv shows, actors and actresses have to make this decision carefully as their entire career can get typecast this way. PRachi Desai quit Kasam Se because she did not want to play an older woman and hence went into movies. nobody in the movie business is going to pick up a young actress who is been shown as a granny on shows today. It is basic understanding. They pick on what they see. Ankita wearing old make-up and white hair isn't going to get her movies or young roles.

Asha Negi if asked to play mother to an adult daughter in the form of ankita as pari, should also refuse. she is too young to play mother roles and should not continue with this. It may give her a shade different, but this shade will last for a year and not like a 3 hour movie.
