You don't ever forget your first love especially in EK shows. And whts exactly stopping them and why don't they walk out? Ask the CVs... I want to ask the same of them. The questions you pose are relevant towards a real life couple ...not a fictional couple of EKs show. They cannot simply walk away without all the drama involved.

So we wait for the CVs.

Agree with u. I think people are expecting A LOT from pavitra rishta. Its a balaji show. It is going to melodramtic and if a person wants to watch a balaji show then they have to put up with nonsensical dramaz and round about ways of Ekta! Its really ridiculous to compare these shows with real life. People dont do stuff that Onir, Purvi and Arjun have done in this show

@ pari, I really do not want to back defending all the details that you have put because we have all discussed these issues at length in many many post in the forum so no need for me to go down that line again.

Again I would say that ARjun and purvi are not meeting each other with intentions or carrying on a relationship. They were apart for mths before they found each other. During that time they both knew nothing about each other and they made their decisions based on where they were and at that point in time. However, they met by chance and they both learnt about each others situation. They are not purposely and intentionally meeting to continue from where they left off. These are all one off incidents and the mere fact that you can pin point each one of them tells the whole story.

In terms of what arjun and purvi should do, we would definitely have to wait on the CV's as you would agree that we both dont have control over the storyline neither has the actors. This is a drama series and we can only comment on what we see and form conclusions on what we see and wish for what we want, hoping that the CV's will give us that. So no need to debate over it. If the CV feel they need to turn Ovi and Onir negative to reunite arjun and purvi, then its their choice. We either like it or we dont. Like wise, the said CV's made purvi and arjun the way they are. They butchered their characters in PR so that now you can like one character and dislike the other. I guess its now Onir turn to be butchered so that the two lovers reunite.

I like arjun and purvi acting and I like their chemistry/bond on TV. They bring out the emotions so well that I can feel it when I look at them. So I would very much be happy for the CV to put them back together so I can start enjoying some good scenes and acting from these two.

To add to that if I may... I believe Indian society cannot accept two people leaving their spouses for love. This is proven by the failure of KANK. Preity and Abhi weren't negative nor were they turned negative and thus the love of rani & srk was rejected. Added to this is the fact srk and rani began their love after both were married unlike arvi who were already in love and slept with one another prior to Arovi marriage.

Love is not valued in Indian, Pakistani or Bengali homes. Everything is about duty. Yes there is love for family, for religion for culture, for parents and for arranged spouses but not actual romantic love. Romantic love for the most part is rejected. And a thing of the western world to ruin Indian kids. This is my personal opinion from what I've seen and experienced, no offense to anyone.

Thus PR Cvs must show the double Os negatively in order to justify the reunion of Arvi else PR viewers will reject it as they did in KANK.

Also I realize the comparison to KANK is not perfect but just a minor crutch to support my point. Hope this point has come across.

sk dear, Absolutely I get the difference...point that I put up was logic behind real people's reasoning for their favorite couple...Maybe I am older so my point of liking a character is how relatable I find him/her to reality...I don't watch for just seeing good looking people romance...not meaning to offend anyone...everyone has different reasons to watch a show..some for entertainment, some for story and some for actors...I have watched many shows like OC during my teen years simply because I loved the actors...They were super flawed and really dumb characters but I did not question logic or argue...I watched despite their foolish nonsense only cuz of the 2 actors I liked.

Now, that is absolutely fine..but people here make arguments defending the couple based on reasoning of their actions in the show...which is why I am asking these questions...What CV's do is one thing and debating on their actions is another...that is what the forum is for...

CV's will do what soever they want and they are ultimately fictional characters who cares a damn? But then why the logical debates on their actions or onir;s actions or defending them based on reasoning?

Anyway, I just wanted to ask the reason why people make their statements on arjun-purvi and their amar prem and defy their actions as harmless...:) If you love them, great, no problem...but then why defend them when they are also simply a creation of CV's and are desecrated by them upon their wish...

@Pari I personally defend arjun and purvi base on what i see in PR. Logical arguments can be used as I can see things from their perspective. Its a story and you can defend a character based on the storyline but its not possible to mix real life situations with what you see in PR although at times one can identify with the story.

So not because its fictional story you cannot argue your support or against based on what the logic in the story

I don't even get the fascination with arvi. My heart beats for Soham. But I feel arvi got the bad end of the stick. It's high time they got back together and let the track move forward.

I usually argue for arvi based upon what I see in the show. I feel some people argue based upon their own assumptions. Then there are others who argue based upon reality basis. Thus the clashes.

And discussion using logic etc is what forums are for. But here's the problem. A lot of people on this forum say things out of left field such as purvi threw the arovi baby in trash or purvi live in relight district...this is all nonsense and was never actually shown in the show. Thus people feel need to defend..at least that's how it for me. I don't mind people critiizing purvi for giving up her baby...she was wrong. There's a lot of discussion potential here but when people make stuff up like trash etc then clashes happen.

Exactly! Actually what they showed was Onir handing over the dead baby to a nurse and asking her to do the needful. Purvi was in bed recuperating from her delivery. When did she go and throw Ovi's baby in the trash? 😕 She didnt even see that baby or dispose of it, Onir did that!
Secondly, the first kholi that they rented was in that area but they must have moved because this kholi looks totally different. And Savita's friend lives next door and Purvi already has some nice friends there who look after Pari or play with her sometimes. So obviously this must be a family oriented chawl!
Anyway when people dont have money, sometimes they are forced to live in bad neighbourhoods, that doesnt make them fallen or characterless...😆 Its like being poor is a crime!

rayadallie - I absolutely get that...I have seen your posts and you make comments with your own reasoning behind it, that is why my question was directed to you...PR is far from reality and I know that...But I watch shows for entertainment too but also the story...and stories I like that are relatable...that is how PR started initially as a story that was something people could relate to, the middle class family background, the characters seemed like someone you could identify in your real world too...now PR is a mess...and it looks like something written and show while being high on crack...

What logic would I use to defend a character if not for reasoning based in reality? Is logic differently reasoned when it is on a show versus in reality...? So then, Indian shows can show all sorts of modern 21st century stuff like wife swapping and what not, as part of entertainment but will audience accept it ? No, the show won't work because at some level you wanna see some semblance of reality in your entertainment ( unless you are a sci-fi or fantasy buff)...That is why when I see PR, I like/dislike a character much like how I would like/dislike someone like that in the real world. And that is how I base my reasoning on their actions. It has to match up. showing purvi as the most sanskaari middle class girl with sanskaar bhashans but then doing things that don't match up with her own sayings, is what doesn't make sense to me. Show her to be a modern liberal thinking girl, and I get her actions.

Anyway, like I said, I was questioning you because of your reasoning which had points...I was asnwering SK11 based on what he/she said about how each character is ultimately dependent on CV's so why bother debating...I debate because that is what IF for me is for...

I did not mean there's no point to debating. My concern is you asking questions like why don't the just reunite etc already and leave the double O alone. Here he debate ends because you are saying something completely and utterly logical which most real people would think, do md say. But unfortunately our characters cannot do this until CVs write them to.

My point is the correct resolution as you say is what all arvi fans want..but this cannot happen until cvs write it and then the drama decreases and the business aspect of this show fails. Have to drag and do all the wrong thing before the correct decision because we need those advertiser money for ads during PR

I am very dumb (I accept😃) so am asking a few questions😃;

1. Where does Purvi/Onir live exactly? Last they showed, Purvi and Onir were arrested by the police cause they thought Purvi was a keep and Onir was enjoying her. The assumption was based for by the police for they lived in the red-light district. Please enlighten me if the Cvs have shown they have moved after that incident?

2. What happened to Arovi baby? Was the baby mourned for or seen by that baby's bioparents? Last I saw, Onir nonchalantly gave the baby away to a wardboy??? I didn't see any hindu funeral happening? And if it happened, did Arjun do the baby's last rites??

Am I wrong...for it seems members are openly bashing here saying these were not shown? Please enlighten me; I am waiting to see which particular episodes I missed...
