This is even better than your opening commentary. I am winding down on my way to the exit, but I wanted to tell you so.

This said, the crossfire of 'legal' opinions in the matter of the custody of Arjun-Purvi's baby is mindboggling, and by the end of it, I am sure none of the contestants knew where they stood, not to speak of where the rest stood!

You are all also missing out on something, which is that all this will be decided by Indian law, and as I have NEVER, in all my years seen reports of a custody battle for a child born out of wedlock filed by the father, I cannot tell you how this will play out. Indian law and precedents - there might be some - might not be the same as the American ones that most of you are familiar with. For example, I do not know if Arjun can give the child should bear his name. I think not. In any case, it would already be a Dutt.

As JFK famously said, Who told you that life is fair? It is just like that here. Arjun is deep in a slough of despond, whereas Purvi gets off effectively scot free. She runs away from Mumbai to escape the mother of all scandals, tells a whopper to her aai about the reason for her hasty departure, thus ensuring that Ovi is roundly blamed for it. She lands in Kolkatta and, without any loss of time, gets an Onir Dutt to care for her like the apple of his eye.

Next , when she lands back in Mumbai to create yet another round of chaos, she gets yet another laurel wreath from her aai for having 'persuaded' her husband to come to Mumbai and treat Ovi. They do not know that the 'persuasion' was more like a judicious application of a blackjack, but even if they did, they might not have minded.

What do you bet that when Archana finds out about your 'pavitra bachcha' (putra or putri might be more pleasantly alliterative!) she will find something tyaag samaan in that as well?

I have a yen for justice being done,and a day of accounting should arrive for Purvi. The mills of God grind slowly and all the rest.

But I doubt if any such masaledaar court scene is in the offing. It will be hugely embarrassing for the nayikas Nos.1 & 2, and I am sure the CVs will never contemplate such an open house on the collective dirty linen of the Ds and the Ks and the K2s (the Kirloskars).

The Deshmukhs should not be part of this as they should be super pissed.

Arjun should beshown really angry with Purvi . This serial always shows that love for a woman is a greater bond than even love for a child ...doing the woman's bidding like a slave is 'love' .

But in real life , things change when children come in the picture . The security of children is the uppermost thought in any decision making .

The children should not suffer is the thought process ,not 'pyaar' . Infact one hardly thinks about it .

Will they show Arjun's feelings for the child stronger than the 'love' he felt for Purvi and will he drag her to court for claiming his right ?

I have already said in my commentary that i don't want any baby to die ., which is a typical serial tactic . What is the baby's fault, if the parents have been super foolish , why should it pay and why should it die ?

Arjun should pay by losing one of his babies ..but how ? Not by the baby's death ,oh no , Ovi should take the baby to Canada after knowing of Purvi's pregnancy by divorcing Arjun ...

A sad Arjun should then decide he will not lose this baby at least . And he should go to court to fight for it .

Ovi and Arjun's baby can return in a track after the leap . This is what i wanna see .

Whether ARVI still wanna get married or Purvi now wants to live with Onir who has stood through thick and thin by her side is entirely upto them .

Shymala Aunty i find it to be true bcoz the 1st word from Archana is "Mahanta" that too her Laadli Beti is doing of now.

what are these writers thinking .Will the whole family not know when the baby is born full term or does Purvi expects the midwife and also the rest of the hospital also to lie like her and tell everyone that a perfect normal healthy looking baby was born premature ...
