LOL what cracks me up is everyone understands Purvi being adopted and her complexes..

But no one bothers understanding Lack of mother's love and abandonment by bio mother for 18 yrs can be a deep rooted cause too. Than mother adopted and replaced twins by adopting Purvi, poured all that love on her while twins were missing their mother...Though Baba and Aaji did their best in loving them.

Than Ovi's childhood friend dumped her and broke the engagement for the same adopted sister...

same girl took mother, boyfriend, fiance away...even her baba, aaji and even twin sisters are following this adopted sister like there is no tmrw..

I dont get this lopsided treatment..

Both Ovi, Teju and Soham should have serious issues with their mother abandoning them...Manav should have serious issues with Archana adoting a child w/o him knowing and giving his family name while she never fought for their marriage nor the children for 18 yrs..

Again my POV ofcourse..

Purvi being selfish is to be considered n reason behind it is that she has destroyed her own life.Arjun's love n now she is trying to destroy Onir who is taking a care of her very nicely,but she has to come n do some mahanta on D clan family na..
Purvi everywhere u are choking yourself doesn't seem right stay away frm D clan.

Whatever Purvi does is bcoz of the deep sense of obligation she feels to Archana for adopting her as an orphan .

It is not Manav's approval that she seeks , it is Archana's happiness thats her goal . Although Manav , for all his faults , has been pretty decent to her the moment she called him Baba . Manav is that way very large hearted .

Archana fed her stories of some perfect family waiting for them still in some part of the world . It was very impractical given the hostile conditions then but Purvi grew up on them and secretly watched Archana crying in private . That embeddded in her deeply and she made a resolve

My mother will be happy and i will get her happiness for her .

All her decisions are for this purpose.

Such is her fierce loyalty to Archana that she will do anything for her . She will fight with any circumstance and conditions for her , use men for her , stay out of her life till things simmer down for her ...leave husbands for her ...anything , kuch bhi.

Personal happiness means nothing to Purvi. Archana's happiness does .

I have commented that she loves Archana even more than Sulochana . At times Sulochana's love for Archana is marred by selfishness ...asking her to make a choice between her and Manav etc is a mere example . But Purvi loves her selflessly . She will never ask Archana to make a choice ...instead at times she will even move out of the picture so that Archana gets happiness and peace .

While Sulochana is a most immature lady , Purvi is very mature that way .

Archana is very lucky to find this kind of love and loyalty ...while Sulochana wrecked her marraige with her constant whines and problems demanding Archana's attention all the time , Purvi gave her back her marraige and used a man for it and even moved out of the picture when circumstances demanded .

Purvi's funda is simple .

Archana wants Soham as he is her child inspite of the fact he is a criminal ...well , Archana shall have him . That makes her happy so it shall happen even if the family is endangered and even if Arjun has to commit perjury for it .

Punni is Archana's niece . Her moral badnaami is the badnaami of Archana's family ...the Karanjkars . Purvi's interest in Punni is only for that . She tries to see that Archana's family does not become badnaam . For that she does not stop and think that Punni is an adult , much older than even her and what she does is her business . Punni is Archana's niece and Archana's family 's badnaami will make Archana sad and Archana should not be sad , Punni will be controlled .

Now this kind of love and loyalty can be very wonderful but it can also be very dangerous . It can be dangerous to other people , although it may be wonderful for Archana . Purvi does not hesitate to make other people miserable for Archana as she does not care or mind being personally deprived for Archana . She made Arjun miserable for Archana and now she is making Onir miserable for Archana .

Ovi being happy means less problems for Archana so Ovi will be managed . Purvi does sacrifices not for Ovi , but for Archana .

I am afraid that she will not change with any understanding spouse's attention . Her mind set is quite permanent and made up . The only person who can control her is Archana . If Archana slaps her and sends her back to Onir saying that good man does not deserve this , she is wrong , she will go back .

In the ARVI love story it was always Arjun who really loved Purvi . Purvi is incapable emotionally of loving any man . She loves only one person ...Archana . Arjun , Onir r all secondary .

Archana's famous slaps never come when really required .

She should have given a resounding slap to Ovi for drinking and endangering the baby instead of asking with a detached frown what she was thinking of .

She should slap Purvi now for leaving a good and loving husband and travelling alone in that pregnant state and for the incessant lies . These r not sanskaars , leaving husband without cause is no sanskaar .

Archana should not glorify Purvi's action as a tyaag this time but give her a piece of her mind as only she can control Purvi .

Kool...your reading on Purvi is spot on, in my opinion...in fact, it made me think how any love can become an obsession, Purvi is just obsessed to see Archana happy, if we can call Ovi's love for Arjun as an obsession, so is Purvi's love for Archana, that she fails to see the havoc she creates just to give Archana, her version of a 'perfect world/family' ….…

I agree with most of what you say here. Purvi needs help to sort out her feelings about Archana, Just not normal. She almost worships Archana. I have daughters who are not much younger than what Purvi is supposed to be. If we do not disagree on something on a daily basis, I am surprised. Does not lessen the love we have for each other - but that's how mothers and daughters interact. Their job is to test boundaries and mine is to make them toe the line...

And if they went around trying to sort out issues in my life, I would be VERY alarmed.

And instead of understanding Ovi's psyche (as he put it), I would like Onir to understand his wife's psyche and help her overcome her issues. Ovi has enough people tending to her.

I loved your analysis on Purvi Kool.. They are very much accurate ..Just some parts of it I think differently but only some ...like I think that Purvi does wants Manav and the rest of the family's approval also a lot ..

She badly wants to be part of this family ..It is this whole thing about being an orphan and as you said , the stories that Archaan fed her about this wonderful dad she has and this beautiful family ...

I also used to think that Sulochna was a pretty selfish mother at times but since the leap , Manav left Archana for 18 years , I think Sulochna has been a great mother to Archana and has supported her through her bad times ...

Archana is indeed lucky to have a daughter like Purvi and I think Archana knows this very well..Purvi is her weakness and every time Ovi tells Archana that she loves Purvi more than her , Archana stays quiet and looks embarassed because Ovi is speaking the truth then ...

I wish Purvi's love was for her mother was more normal ...Teju loves her mother but would never do the kind of things that Purvi does .She would try and find other practical solutions ...Purvi becomes very impractical at times ...

I think Archana also loves Purvi the most i nthe world ...Before leap it was Manav who was the most important person in her life ...now it seems that his place has been taken by Purvi ..

I guess the reason why both Archana and Purvi love each other so much because they found each other on the worst day of their lives and started their journey together from there , holding each other tight for survival ...

They only had each other and I think Archana needed Purvi a hell of a lot more than Purvi needed her .Their bond is so special that it can never be replaced or even understood by anyone else ..I think Arjun understood that bond and that is why he moved away and did what Purvi told him to do ...

Archana was angry with Purvi for leaving Arjun and I hope when she finds out that Purvi has actually left Onir with a letter , she should tell Purvi off very badly

It will break Archana when she finds out that Purvi got pregnant with Arjun's child ..Any mother would be devastated and this mother thinks so highly of her daughter ...

The young girl made a mistake , I hope this mistake will not destroy her life ...She has found peace with Onir and I hope she is shown happy in her life ..For Archana too , this is the biggest joy , to see her happy and living a happy life with a good husband .

But how can Archana tell Purvi not to ask Onir to treat Ovi ..The show says that in India the only person who can help Ovi is Onir and most definitely the writers are not gowing to show London ..you know how strict they are with their budget ..It has to be Onir or nothing ...😆. I know it is stupid bu tthat is the story line

Tanya being the golden girl in the fairy tale family matters to her , no doubt about it but her foremost , primary goal is Archana's happiness alone . Lets not forget that she left this same fairy tale family and stayed out of the picture for so many months when things demanded it , ensuring that Archana would not be embarrased , awkwardly placed in a tug of war again after that publicdeclaration of love in the party ...for whatever the case , Archana would have defended her at least a bit .

She suppresses her feelings for Archana's happiness . Be it her attraction for Arjun or her desire for the perfect family , she swiftly calculates the bottomline ...her Aai's happiness . And if it is clashing with that , she simply does away with it .

Rather than Sulochana being there for Archana in these18 yrs , i would put it this way ...Archana was there for Sulochana or at the most ...the need was mutual . Archana has always been there for Sulochana ...when she discontinued her studies due to her asthma to the point Vinod left her in her old age .

Purvi is wonderful for Archana but she will always subject the men in her life to use . There is an idiom in hindi ...pees pees ke reh jaoge ...this will happen to the men in her life . Even her baby won't get the importance that Archana does ...if it had ,she would be right now with the best gynac in India who happily happens to be her husband too . She will do anything to ensure Archana's happiness , even trade babies .

Her worship of Archana is beyond normal . Archana should sense it , not be naive about it and know the lenghts to which her daughter will go for her . Archana did not tell her to cancel the marraige to Arjun , she did . Archana did not tell her to throw down her dupatta to expose Malik's lechery , she did . Archana did not tell her to think of maika and leave Onir but she has done exactly that . Archana will not tell her to trade babies but she is capable of doing it . Her hero worship of Archana is wonderful but also very dangerous for others .

Archana should sharpen her instincts where Purvi is concerned and act fast as a mother . If u notice Purvi lies to Archana and keeps her in the dark ...another worrisome sign..
