So Arjun and Purvi reunited (at first), but one day when Purvi goes to Arjun's house, Ovi answers the door and tells Purvi that she and Arjun have been together for the past 20 years and the only reason Arjun got back together with Purvi was to make Ovi jealous since Arjun and Ovi had a big fight and Ovi was at her friend's house for the past two months. It is later revealed that Arjun has a blood clot in his brain and he only has two months to live because the chances of the surgery working are 50/50. So Arjun's plan is to make Purvi hate him before he dies so that when he's gone, she won't live her life mourning his death. Throughout this, we see Ovi trying to convince Arjun to tell Purvi the whole truth so that they can live the two months together, she also constantly tells him to think positive and not talk about dying all the time. The rest of the Deshmukh family have no idea about all this, they think that Arjun-Purvi are reunited and are getting married. They come to Arjun's house trying to fix a date, but Arjun says that he has a very important project that will be completed in two months, then they can get married. The whole Deshmukh family sans Purvi goes back to Canada. Archana promises Purvi to convince Pari for Arjun and Purvi's wedding, which she later does. Purvi constantly tries to talk to Arjun and Ovi but they both always make it seem like they are married and that they are happy together. The story with them right now is Purvi has a suspicion that something else is happening that she doesn't know about and she's trying to get to the bottom of the situation. We also see Arjun becoming jealous when both of their companies have a deal with another company, and the man there (Mr. Chadda) is always flirting with Purvi.
With Ankita and Naren- after they get married, they follow the ritual that after marriage the girl goes back to her home for a few days. Naren, not wanting to stay away from Ankita (or Ahana as he calls her) , goes with her to her house. One day when they go to the mandir, Naren gets lost and Ankita panics looking everywhere for him, including her house and the Karmakar house. Naren later shows up, normal as ever. Mansi later comes to the Karmakar house, as she gets worried when she doesn't hear from Ankita about Naren, we then see Raunak flirting with Mansi and Ankita protecting her from him, Ankita and Raunak also have an enemy towards each other and Raunak promises to drive her out of the house just like she drove him out of his family business. Then enters Sunanda Karmakar. She is Shirish's older sister who lives in London. She has no family of her own, she considers Naren and Raunak like her own sons, especially Naren, since she's very fond of him and she dislikes Rushali. The family business has been brought up with her money, so they Karmakar family has to keep her happy otherwise she can take away everything that they have. She also has no idea about Naren and Ankita's wedding since everything happened in a rush. Rushali and Shirish know that if she finds out, she won't approve of their wedding due to Ankita's status and then take away everything they have. Rushali then tells Ankita to remove her mangalsutra and ring so that Sunanda won't find out. Ankita then poses as Naren's nurse in front of Sunanda, who immediately develops a dislike towards Ankita. Sunanda then decides that the only way to solve Naren's illness is to get him married, and she has already found a family, the Nadkarnis and she wants Naren to get married to Kinnari, their daughter. The marriage is later finalized and the engagement is held that evening itself. A very angry Ankita takes her anger out on Naren and basically tells him to get away from her and that she never wants to see him again. Naren then runs away. Rushali finds out and immediately sends Ankita to look for him. Meanwhile the Nadkarni's arrive at the Karmakar house and Sunanda rushes to find Naren. Shirish and Rushali then tell her that he has run away from home and she says that if he doesn't come back in time for the engagement, then she will take away all of the business.
