Shyamala I had your same reaction when I watched the precap. Archana acting all high and mighty and questioning Arjun about PAVITRA RISHTA. I just don't understand her sudden strictness and hostility----and I do think the CVs need to be very careful of this.

She was very warm, accepting, and full of praise for Arjun when she was engaged to Ovi...but now that he has accepted his love for Purvi and announced his intention to marry her (also with his fathers blessing) instead of feeling happy for her daughter or trying to even understand and learn the circumstances like her own mother did, she wants to give him a test to pass??

This shows a blatant partiality towards her own blood daughter and so I guess the question posed by SBS...will Archana support Purvi or Ovi has been answered and it is obvious. Too bad it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and ruins Archana's image for me,

I have different take on this one Arch.. when it comes to Ovi's decisions, she can only support positively. Nobody has given her any rights. Whereas for Purvi, Archana is everything. I think she is more attached and concerned for Purvi than Ovi. But her body language is misleading.

Dear Vilasini,

Of course I am not upset, if nothing else, I have a strong sense of humour, and of the ridiculous!

My dear, it is not only in Einstein's theories that all things are relative. They are so in real life as well. Even after including the last para - which was meant to be funny, and I hope it was recognized as such - this stand alone post is only about half the length of my standard issue ones. Whence the comment that it was short. Not by itself, perhaps, but relatively speaking, yes!

Shyamala

PS: No way is Arjun going to stand in line for the water. Chawls are usually well stocked with accredited MCPs and it seems to be always the women who get the water.Of course if Arjun decided to try his hand at it, there would be a interesting result. All the women - young and old, fat and thin, pretty and not, would stop in their tracks and stare at such a handsome young man, and no one would bother about the water.

Shyamala...I have been laughing my A off this morning..
There was a post on Sundari wearing Chooda.
To Top that..plz dont take it seriously..I love your long posts.. but the quoted part itself is a paragraph saying that the post is short..hillarious..
And Here you are about Chawl selection.
I had this chawl concern yesterday, dont know whether i posted that.. (anywhere near D chawl is a big no no)
Want to see Arjun standing in line for water in the Chawl with the Suit on..

I enjoyed all episodes this week.. I really want TRP to go up..We have great storyline set up for ARVI. so Iam desperately trying to find daily stat of Indian TRP.

I am sure many of you will be trying to scroll further down to see what you presume will be the rest of this post, and when you cannot do so, conclude that something is wrong with the scroller, as no stand alone post by Shyamala can possibly be this short. Please relax; there is nothing wrong with the scroller mechanism. This is all of it, and it is a special treat for all of you who, every other day, plough thru my loo...ong posts with so much of patience, and then are kind enough to tell me that you enjoyed them. I thought I owed you all a break, and this is it.

This, however, in no way guarantees similar brevity will characterise my future efforts!

He has given Archana an carte blanche (full powers) in the matter, so to speak, and thus we can take it that he will be ready to embark on this without demur, and in fact with his typical energy and drive.

However, since he is totally unfamiliar with the chawl housing situation in Mumbai, and we can hardly have him applying for help to Teju's taxi owning Sardarji, I propose that we Arjun-lovers in the forum come up with useful suggestions, and make his task simpler. For my part, I would like to make the following points.

a) The accommodation selected must most definitely NOT be the Deshmucks' chawl or anywhere within a mile from it! What a life poor Arjun would have it if his flat was in the D chawl, with:

1) Ovi's tearful face haunting him from the opposite window, and the very real possibility of her trying to convince him that it is her whom he loves in truth, and that Purvi has bewitched him;

2) Savita glaring at him any chance she gets, and possibly leaving lemons smeared with vermilion and strung together with chillies outside his door, to hex him back to Ovi ;

3) Teju giving him the cold shoulder, Archana fixing him with deeply reproachful looks, and Manav's open hostility threatening a renewed slapfest and, worst of all,

4) no Purvi, as she would be most reluctant to visit him there.

No, Arjun, being no fool (even if some recent events - before this week, of course - might have led us to think otherwise), will avoid the D chawl like the plague.

I would strongly recommend that he ends up near enough to the Karanjakar's chawl so that Purvi can visit him easily, but not IN it.

The latter is because it would only lead to a lot of unwelcome gossip when the neighbours spot our lovebirds cootchy-cooing in front of open windows.

Arjun, as Janhvi pointed out, would not care two hoots about this sort of thing, and judging from the way she cosied up to him in her office after the PoA was implemented, that too behind a glass door, the normally prim and 'propah' Purvi too can throw discretion to the winds at times.

So it will be better if his place is near the K chawl, but not right there, don't you agree?

Any other suggestions would be more that welcome and will be duly passed on without delay to Mr. Arjun Kirloskar thru Ms. Purvi Deshmukh.

Dear Shyamala,

Are you serious !!! 😆 The funniest was the last paragraph 😆

Since you took all the pains in detailing all the reasons for selecting a chawl, I very sincerely went hunting for some chawls near the K house.

Do you see the area -

You are right, it should not be anywhere near the D house (Anand Chawl) that would a big torture on our poor Arjun who finally got his Purvi's approval after getting drenched repeatedly in the rains.

I found some some chawls in Pende Nagar, Trimurti Society, Vijay Society.
All are
- 2 BHK [just in case, DK wants to visit his son for 2-3 days from his very frequent world tours, (otherwise how in the world would DK agree for such challenge?!]
- attached toilets
- lots of windows not just on the exterior walls, but also in the interior walls (so that it will be easy for the camera placement😉)
- 2 Verandahs with ample space to hang clothes for drying😆
- semi furnished (2 beds, couch, wardrobes, essential kitchen utensils)

The area also boasts of near-by public park with lot of trees, pond and also a small bridge, mandir, walking distance from Dombivili Railway station (Just in case Mata Archana want to strip him of the luxury of his car)
Monthly rent is Rs. 5000 with an Advance of Rs. 50,000.
The agent wants to know when the client wants to take a tour and can move-in?
If any questions, call the agent directly at +91 9009090909😆

Archana dear, I also didn't like the look in Archana's eyes when I saw the pre-cap, but maybe just maybe it's too soon to judge that Archana is more concerned for her own blood.
Arjun is not in her good books at the moment and it's totally understandable, coz Arjun made a commitment to Ovi before leaving Canada, he came to India fell in love with Purvi without mentioning his commitment to Ovi, got engaged to Ovi still despite being in love with Purvi and now broke up with Ovi...
So for every mother this situation is not an easy one and it is difficult to believe it, so from this point of view I can totally understand Archana. Both are her daughters and I still think she loves both of them equally...maybe a little bit more concerned abt Ovi, coz she feels Ovi might not be strong as Purvi.
And remember Purvi has gone through a broken engagement already , so this second time Archana will be extra cautious esp. in the case of Arjun...
So let's wait and see what challenge Archana throws at Arjun...and we all know that Arjun is gonna win any challenge handsdown , coz his Purvi is with him and DK's blessings...
I still say...something must happen, otherwise how come Archana will support Arjun-Purvi despite everyone else being against...

VG,
@underlined - Yup! you got that right!
If I got a chance, I would definitely go visit PR chawl.😆PR makes it feel as if Sanskaari people are found only in chawls, what to do? BTW, do you know both K house and D house in the PR set are adjacent to each other ?😆 I think it was in 2010, just before ZRA (Zee Rishte Awards) they had a series of segment that lasted a week where they gave a chance to some selected fans to visit the sets of all the Zee shows back then. I did not watch PR's segment, but I came to know about it and was LOL. I always tell myself I should find and watch that segment, but now that you mention about your friends comment, I think might be easier to give a visit in person

Dear bee5,

Of course I am serious. Archana the Mahaan seems determined to make life as difficult as possible for (our) Archana's boy, and we have to chip in and do our best for him, so that he does not fail the test because he cannot cope with his surroundings.

How very kind of you to have taken the trouble to collect so much of very useful info! I am sure both Purvi and Arjun (in that order) will be most grateful.

I have already passed on your message to her for him.
I thought it would do her good to practice running his life for him; it would help her in the future and, more important, get him used to being where he should be - under his wife's thumb (but not his MIL's !). It would also help keep away all sorts of unwelcome and even dangerous visitations.

The park with the trees (conveniently placed to drip all over them during their next love scene), the pond and the bridge (to evoke such fond memories!) would be the perfect bonus.

I do not know whether Arjun will be able to cope with the Mumbai trains, which requires special skills in elbowing, stepping on people's feet and the like - unless he had done an internship or otherwise lived in Japan, in which case, the Mumbai locals would be a cakewalk.

The rent seems very reasonable, and I am sure Purvi can find nice curtains for the outside facing windows!

Shyamala
