Dear Darlyne,
Many, many thanks for the very kind words.
However, it is Archana's post that should be highlighted and, if at all possible, brought to the attention of the CVs (to hope that Ekta Kapoor, who must be busy trying to hang on the payment for the telecast rights of The Dirty Picture, which was stalled by the Govt., is going to read our posts is being way too optimistic!).
I say this not out of any sense of misplaced modesty, for like Hercule Poirot, I have none when it is my work that is concerned. I say this because Archana's post does not present just general criticism, which can be easily brushed aside. It is, on the contrary, a very cogently and tightly argued thesis: that the CVs are making Arjun and Purvi seem not angry or hurt or even disillusioned with each other, but almost indifferent to each other, and that this would amount to killing the goose that laid all those golden TRP eggs.
If you have any idea of how to bring Archana's post to the attention of the CVs, I am sure all of us would be grateful to you, and I am also sure Archana would oblige as well and do whatever she has to do.
Shyamala
Shyamala my friend, Thank you so, so much for the praise on my post. I wish I knew a way to put it in front of the CVs face. I tried to be as simple and clear cut as possible with them- since its obvious that due to orders from above they are hell-bent on dragging this until Soham or Kingdom Come, I wanted to give them an option to do so without butchering the crux of the story that attracted us all in the first place.I will continue to write, argue, plead, and cajole-all as analytically as possible- for the sake of my friends here if it will help any. My only disadvantage is in being in the wrong time zone- by the time I get to see the episodes on TV (online is there, and is definitely a lifeline at this point but not nearly as clear and crisp and watching on your TV screen) the forum is already fired up with emotions and opinions. Then I have to go through the task of dissecting the facts from the perceptions- which you have been a great help with of course 😉

Dear Bee, maybe the word reason is what I should have used? instead of excuse? I meant that however leniently one may see Arjun's reasons for behaving the way he does with Ovi, I still think that he could have handled it differently. You and I perhaps have a different perspective on this.Dear Janhvi,There is a reason why I started my previous comments with "Can't expect anything..." and I see that nothing has changed since then (from @bold of your response), which is unfortunate. If you had read my comments it would have been clear to you that what I wrote was neither a "reason" nor an "excuse" and definitely not asking anyone to show any "leniency" towards Arjun or overlook his behavior. What I stated was merely what I saw, which is BTW what we differ on. When I state something, it does not automatically make me accept that behavior or condone it and hence they do not become the "reasons" or "excuses" or "requests to overlook" or "pleas to show leniency".I agree with you that the CVs control this and Arjun the character has little say in how the story is played but it disappoints one when the CVs tear up a great story into inconsistent bits, for instance, he took off his ring, still no answer as to why.About the ring, yes, I remember we exchanged comments on it after I brought it up in one of my posts. (https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/57924099)To me, Arjun making the extra effort to keep the truth from Ovi doesn't sit right, he can keep the engagement farce for ever long as he wants but as Archana has so eloquently put in her other post, the CVs do need to realize that if ARVI are going to come together as a pair later, we need to see a constant thread holding their story together, their love and pain at being separated, not either of them getting comfortable without each other.

nice post..but who is vandana?
Dear bee, I have offended you again and I did make sure to use the generic "however leniently one may see" not "however leniently you may see" in my previous post as I was merely trying to explain my point of view and not alleging any leniency on your part. You were extremely lucid in the last or last two paragraphs of your original post that you were not in agreement with how the CVs were portraying this. You were objective with your excellent analysis when you pointed out Arjun's facial expressions which indicated that he was not happy/comfortable doing/speaking as he was to Ovi. Your objectivity was not being questioned or seen as a reflection of your approval or disapproval of his behavior, I was merely pointing out that I was not willing to give him any quarter, I was being subjective. Hopefully neither one of us perceive differing opinions to be an imposition, as you so rightly point out it is our prerogative to watch the show how we will.
Yes, you brought up the ring incident first, very perceptive of you. The CVs have not explained it away and he is still not wearing the ring.
Hopefully, there is no more misunderstanding, dear Bee, sincerely hope so, as your balanced, logical thinking and analytical perspective on the episodes is something that I really look forward to reading.
