Yes, I agree, most of the dialogues are picked from the complaints here.
Agree to all your comments too.
Hey, I have a doubt, when you guys mention a new guy for Purvi temporarily,
Shyamala, do you mean Ashish Kapoor the actor, or Prince Udayveer Singh, the character of DEK? and,
Janhvi, did you take Ashish Kapoor as that temporary actor or are you thinking of Udayveer the character?
I am really confused about it, when you guys discuss that. š
BTW, I have watched DEK from its 1st episode and not missed an episode š, so I do know Udayveer and Ashish, both.š
But I still maintain RD as Arjun all the way for my Purvi.š

Dear bee5,
A lovely, lucid post. Liked it very, very much. Your recommendations for a verbal make-over for Arjun are spot on. I hope the CVs take some note of this; they seem, judging by Purvi's vastly improved lines and her dignified delivery yesterday, to have noticed the numerous complaints in this forum about Purvi's shrill rants (myself being complainer No.1)
Plus, you are just about the most balanced and fair-minded of us all, myself included, You never get carried away by passing bad phases in the script, such as it is, and when you work out what make a character tick, you are admirably understanding of human frailties, and you deal with them with compassion, without indulging in a facile blame game.
I too did not feel that Arjun could have come clean in public at the engagement function, but I thought he would talk to DK. Manav and Ovi, in any order, the very next day. He scored only 33%, and that is not even a passing grade. Plus, he seems to have become terminally indecisive of late, side-stepping any uncomfortable decisions, and drifting, seemingly not bothered at all about what all this is doing to the person he claims is his life (or his duniya, to be precise).
A large part of the problem is, I feel, that he is too complacent about her. He has to be shaken out of this, and I perceive that even Janhvi has come round to accepting this!
Janhvi, I see that you are moving towards requisitioning my Uday's assistance for blasting Arjun out of this deep ditch he has fallen into. I must say that this is dismayingly opportunistic of you, but then I suppose this too must be laid at the feet of motherhood!
I can tell you one thing - Uday is not a gentle, good person, quite the opposite, He is as shrewd as they make them, effortlessly manipulative when called for, and ruthless when necessary. Plus his face never shows anything of what he happens to be thinking of at that moment. Even when he is facing terrible problems, he never loses his cool and a half mocking smile never leaves his face, at least in public. And no, he never cries! In short, he would make an extremely useful friend and a very bad enemy. He is also totally wrapped up in his princess, so there is no question of his becoming uncomfortably serious about Purvi.
In short, I cannot think of anyone more different from the depressing Arjun the CVs have landed us with right now. So, if Purvi needs a capable shoulder to cry on plus a seductive escort to make Arjun go green, Uday is IT. Purvi, go for him, girl!
