Bee, your explanation is very good, but ArVi seems to be detach, and comfortable without each other is not going well with many ArVi fans including me. I mentioned in a couple of other threads that CV has to show that ArVi are missing being with each-other, and when they are alone they think about each-other a lot. That way we also get to view some nice ArVi scenes.

Darlyne,
They seem detached because they are not showing them together. But I don't think they are comfortable without each other. Logically the issue that they are trying to show which is keeping them separate is a complete non-issue. Based on the original characterization, it makes no sense that such a thing is brought up as an issue between them to keep them separated. If they show ArVi missing each other, then they have nothing to tell. If they show Arjun missing Purvi then logically he should go and tell Ovi the truth followed by everyone else. If he misses her, then what is stopping him? But they can't let that happen bcos they want to bring that part later on. Similarly if they show Purvi missing Arjun, then she can also open her mouth and tell that to her mother. Her constant crying, feeling sad, is it all worth and would it make sense if she misses him so much? If they show that, then the story will movo into convincing everyone for the marriage. Then their marriage. What is left? Story will finish in 1 week, or in 2 weeks. To keep Arjun and Purvi parts for the later stage, all they managed to come up with is what we are seeing now.
What would have worked better was if Purvi's confession did not come out so soon. They rushed it due to IPL and now they finished stage 1 of their story and now they do not want to go to Stage 2 so fast. Instead if they had dragged Purvi's falling in love, then they would not have stagnated with their story as they are now.

Okay, I will stop at this now, bcos it looks as if I am defending them. I know what they are doing is not the best, and clearly they have nothing much left to tell. They should finish whatever they have and be done with it and move on. I am sure they are aware of what the viewers want and what they are giving.

Hello, lovely posts Shyamala, Arch and Bee,

I have yet to watch the episodes...but i agree with Bee and Shyamala that its not that Arjun is warming up to Ovi nor is Purvi detached from her love for Arjun, we did see Purvi's love for Arjun when she tore the Dhaba scene foto but kissed it and put it back together in her diary again...yes, scenes like that would be great...and to Bee's point that they had much to fill the episode with...

We ARVi fans are just craving for ARVI to share the same screen space and at least whether flashback or hand holding or taking aside to another room, we want to see our ARVI together...

Miss ARVI...

Ladies, I love your brilliant minds! ❤️

Happy to be among such esteemed company! 👏

The events leading up to today's episode can be summed up in song for me. One of my faveys from a band called Journey...

'It's been a mystery
And still they try to see
Why something good can hurt so bad,

Caught on a one way street
The taste of bittersweet
Love will survive somehow, some way

One love feeds the fire
One heart burns desire
Wonder who's crying now

Two hearts born to run
Who'll be the lonely one
Wonder who's crying now

So many stormy nights
So many wrongs or rights
Neither could change their headstrong ways

And in a lover's rage
They tore another page
The fighting is worth the love they'll save'

So take heart dear friends - hope springs eternal 😉

Love is in the air - faint but slowly wafting towards you...

Waiting to wrap you in its everlasting embrace :)

Thanks Bee, you are not defending them but making it clear for us from your perspective. And it is helping me to see/read things from different angle. You are right, It does make sense. It is important that we all share our point of view, and help each to look issues different ways.

Never heard this song before...Awesome Lyrics..thx Laurie
I feel Ovi will connect the dots.I see her insecure feeling. Why do I feel happy about that..
Regarding ARVI, It feels like all the effort I put in to burn the camp fire is all gone by a sudden rain.

Archana,
I saw the same what you have written now.
But, I didn't understand what you meant by "Anything nice he said was simply automatic as pretense".

Bee...what I meant is that his attempt to be nice...in the sense of "Im fantastic...how is goa...wish I could have come with u...but alas!!! Too much work...etc) I felt was an automatic response...programmed to placate Ovi...perhaps formality is a better word than pretense?

Dear Arch and Bee, whatever excuses you make for Arjun, they are not going to fly, at least not for me, alas!😭
I am pasting what I wrote on Trish's thread here:
Just finished watching the Arjun Ovi scene (refuse to watch anything else of today's epi) and he did not seem reluctant at all, his exact words were "mein chaahkar bhi nahi aa paaya" meaning "I could not come with you (to Goa) even though I wanted to" and then adds that "unfortunately" at the end - sounds like a very unreluctant fiance to me! 😡 I re-wound and watched it 3 times - not just "chaahtha tho bhi nahi aapaatha" but "chaahkar bhi nahi aa paaya" - that is betrayal of all the feelings he allegedly harbors for Purvi. I truly wish Purvi gets over this two faced cheat. If he was making an automatic response as you suggest he was, he would have chosen to say the former not use the latter phrase. Yes, it might be the screw-up of the CVs but the phrase is attributed to Arjun and he does not come across in a good light at all.
Ovi's "bayboo" made me want to puke and her insistence that after they get married he is going to give her his undivided attention, makes her sound a little retarded - is the man not supposed to work at all? he is supposed to be fawning and doting on her dawn to night - that will be his sole purpose in life? What a dimwit. 😡
I am done with this idiocy. The CVs may try to re-create the magic and might bring ARVI together with all the fireworks they can muster but to me the fire is already doused, and the cracks though mended will always be visible. Arjun is just not the guy we imagined him to be - he is weak, he is two-faced, he is stringing along two girls, hopefully not Purvi any more, and he is plain annoying - as annoying as his bayboo girlfriend!!
As for Archana, words fail me, she deserves all the thrashing and trashing from Savita as she seems to relish the flagellation🤢

Liked Shyamala's post. Loved Arch's post and Bee's post is quite enticing too, and do make one want to return to liking arvi yet again. But fool me once CVs not twice. 😡
Whatever excuse one might attribute to Arjun's behaviour, I do know when Ovi returns from Goa, she will engage in PDA with him again, and he won't refuse. Arjun will again be oh so sweet to Ovi, again and again, on phone, when he meets her, inside cars, at parties. The Cvs will make sure Purvi is present there to witness the muck PDA.😡 So, I am not going to be party to this behaviour and will definitely not support any such two-timing behaviour from a character I once liked so so much. 🤢
