The fact is that by now, Archana, having watched with growing despair as her so-called son piles blunder upon blunder, is convinced that he is a changeling, as no son of hers could be THIS dumb and incompetent. That is why she is washing her hands of him with celerity.
Whether she is also switching to Karan Dhanjani as her real ladla beta (there is no Mama Dhanjani is evidence to react fiercely to any such claims, so the road seems clear) is the 64000 $ question. Let us see.
This said, I do not think Arjun will keep quiet and not defend Purvi. Janhvi, you might have seen what I wrote to you in another thread, where you had said that his staying mum would mean that his marriage with Purvi would not happen for a long time. I has said there:
"NOT 'for a long time". For keeps.
If Arjun does not come to the aid of Purvi at this juncture, grab her hand, tell off the whole of the wretched Deshmukh clan, and drag her out of the chawl with him even if she hangs back to go to the aid of her aai (WHAT is Purvi doing there anyway? I thought Archana had told her to stay away?), we should all wash our hands of him for good. There are no two ways about that.
This said, I think he will deliver, for if the lines written for him are different, his character will be totally finished. I do not think that is going to happen. He is the second lead after all.
Finally, I hope all this drives at least a modicum of sense into Purvi's thick, sanskaari head, and she thinks twice in the future before issuing unconditional guarantees for Punni tayee, and waxing eloquent about how Ovi Ma'am trusts her and how she must not let her down. Ugh! She makes me downright queasy, the dumb female. If this is what sanskaars are all about, I would rather not have any."
Incidentally, several members have wondered about how KD has such detailed and up to date knowledge about both Arjun and Purvi. I had speculated about his having a mole among the Ks and Ds. This cannot be Punni, as someone had suggested, for she would know nothing about Ovi and Arjun having split up. Maybe there are 2 moles!
Also, I doubt if KD is Soham. He seems to be older than Arjun and Purvi; if people have been working for him for over 7 years and more, he must be near 30. Soham must have been about 3-4 years old when he disappeared, and so he must be only around 22. (Not that any of this logic applies to the terminally illogical Balaji products, but still).
Purvi, having worked for the former firm for 2 1/2 years and for OVT for some months, making 3 years in all, must be at least 22, as she must have finished college before beginning to work. Arjun must also have got a college degree and probably an MBA as well, which would make him 23-24 at the least. Ovi and Teju should be 20.

Me too, hoping Arjun keeps mum so the CV's can bring Laurie's Karan for Purvi. Arjun can eat his heart out.
