Kools, I said Savita cos AS OF NOW, Savita is okay. The rest can be decided as the track develops- who shows what type of behavior and maturity.

Archana has most definitely been a bad mother. The breast milk point I already said that PLEASE don't point out that Archana ignored cos I know it. What I'm saying is that Varsha ignored it TOO. She doesn't care about what the child needs.

If Archana is to be blamed for the temporary baby track, then so is Varsha. It was clearly shown that Archana tried to ask Soham back but Varsha made excuses or cried up each time she did so. She manipulated her sister's love for her. She already knew from the beginning that the child has to return one day. What was she doing then, hiding him everytime. (Now please don't say its Archana Manav's fault more, cos I know that too. My point is Varsha was also wrong)

More than a genuinely attached mother, I see Varsha as someone who has got USED to Soham. I see it as another whim of hers AS OF NOW.

By all means Archana has been wrong. But on no account has Varsha been right too. Yes, it is easy to make a small line longer by drawing another small line below it. But I don't buy that.

Varsha and Archana BOTH are bad.

In my opinion Archana and Varsha both are bad people and mothers.
One killed her own baby and now is obsessively craving for one.
Another one lost her first baby being careless and uninterested in caring for the baby. 2nd baby she lost due to her weakness for love for her spoiled sister.
Even though Varsha is caring and loving mother to Soham, I believe she is attached to a baby she should not be. This arrangement is tooo close for comfort. Varsha's attachement to Soham is unhealthy IMHO. Soham is ArMan's baby POS. If she wants a child sooo bad than go out and adopt a needy baby.
Archana does not deserve to have Soham as she gave him up for silly reason and w/o Manav's agreement..But I blame all in D family for allowing Archana to go this far. Manav has gone back to being ULM again and Satish still acts like a wimp at times...He needs to check Varsha in with a psychiatrist as her obsession with Soham is not kosher.
This show has reached new heights of stupidity IMHO.

Welcome back Di! I agree with each and every word! BOTH Archana and Varsha are wrong and Varsha needs a counsellor. I said it myself in a post a page or two back.

Yes both Varsha and Archana are wrong but where does that leave poor Soham? Like Kools said - it's between the frying pan and the fire.

Soham should be with some other loving family not the Ds or Js. May be he should be raised by Ashna & some other loving dude 😛

Right just read the update. Never thought my disgust for a particular character (not naming names!) and this show could increase. It just did.

Niki, Tanya, Umi and everybody else; All characters have been written by the same writers. So we can't excuse Archana and Manav's disinterest as CV's fault in writing and Varsha's behavior as her own fault. Both are characters and we have to see them all in the same light; either accept all that the writers have the characters do as character nature or give the same leeway of faulty writing to all characters. I'm telling about what I've seen so far with a neutral stance without taking into account whether the track change is sudden due to TRP rating or whatsoever.
And my question remains, if Soham returns to Archana, will she be able to overlook Varsha's unhappiness and keep him? Already today she offered Soham back to Varsha again, and Manav agreed. I just don't see the attachment to the child from Archana and Manav; that I see in Varsha. And we can't say Archana is so naive, so foolish that Varsha is taking advantage of her; if Varsha takes advantage of her all the time, then Archana enables it. You can't keep blaming the hunter when the prey keeps offering itself. And Archana does love Soham, just not enough to want to keep her with him and shield him that I think comes naturally to a mother. Archana made a mistake letting varsha keep Soham with her all this time; but is she doing anything to rectify her mistake now? Nope, she's back to offering the baby to Varsha again. And others have to fight to keep Soham in D household, the parents themselves are ready to give away their child. This is not good for Soham; how long can Savita or Sulochana or even Satish fight to let Soham live with ARMAN? Savita and Sulochana have both been outvoted by ARMAN as can be seen from the fact that Soham was allowed to stay with Varsha for so long in the first place. Besides they're old. And Satish can only do so much before buckling into Varsha's stubbornness and her obvious attachment to Soham; not to mention his own attachment to the child.

@Sowmya: I will answer only about the CV's part here cos I made that point.

Normally I never make that point. In fact I protest when others make the excuse of CV's and TRP's. But this time situation is different. The track till two days before was meant to go differently and they developed the track in a different way- they meant to show Manav Archana had given up baby willingly to Sasha forever, so they portrayed them as indifferent to baby. This was the point you made right?- that Manav archana seem indifferent to baby? Well, CV's meant to show it, but for another track. There was prooof of it in the story itself. At last moment, they replaced it by another track, as if climax of one movie had been fixed to another movie. Now how can one understand the character fully or draw conclusion? Doesn't gel!

Same here. the CV's had developed the charcaters to suit the other track, but couldn't undo it later, and started ignoring it as a part of the story they wanted ot cut out. That is why the point of 'Manav Archana looked indifferent to baby in the beginning' cannot be accepted, I feel. Of course, we can always agree to disagree here. But I for a fact am determining the characters and judging their actions from two days back. Nothing more, nothing less. Cos that was when the actual story started.

And I applied this rule to ALL the characters. I didn't include Varsha too- I didn't give any examples from the initial episodes of the leap. All examples I gave to support my views were from the last two episodes and whatever I could derive from it. So you see, I am still evaluating ALL the characters from the same lens. Yes, all the characters have been written by same writers, I never said the contrary, but two stories have been fused together, first of which was halted midway and ignored and second was started in its place whcih was the accepted final track. So I choose to judge by the final track shown. Cos in the old track they actually showed Satish asking Soham to call him Pappa- going by today's episode and current track- this doens;t gel. Getting my point?

Anyway, everyone has his/her own way to judge. Just wanted to clarify I'm not giving any leeway to any character giving excuse of shoddy scriptwriting.

I myself said Archana is more at fault than Varsha for letting her take advantage. In fact everyone said so.

What I don't agree with is the fact that Varsha is a WONDERFUL and GOOD mother and Archana is so so bad in contrast to her, and that Soham should be given back to Varsha solely for this reason, simply cos she squeals and shouts for him and shows attachment. Varsha is obsessed, period. She cares more herself than the kid and I've already written lots of reasons for that above. I feel BOTH Varsha and Archana are bad and both have made lots of mistakes.

Regarding today's episdoe, I WOULD NOT call it lack of attachment from Archana's end, rather I would call it sheer disappointment. The girl was truly depressed that her baby did not recognise her (most of which is her own mistake, I agree) and the sneer by Varsha only made it worse. In that condition she started feeling that it was perhaps better for the child to stay with the one with whom he was comfortable and had accepted as mother (which is what most in the forum have been saying recently too) and slowly develop a bonding with Archana, and then they could bring him back when he was more comfortable with them. Otherwise who knows he might have had a terrible time in the house?

I know it is a debatable decision and not right, but considering her state, I felt for her today. She did not want to return Soham for Varsha's sake, but rather bcos she felt SHE was NOT RIGHT for her baby anymore. It was a state of depression and guilt I felt. She actually wanted to bond with her baby in the right sense, make him confortable with her, gain his love and affection as a mother before getting him back home. Silly and wrong maybe but the intention was not wrong. The intention was honest- not to confuse the baby under the game of temporary mother by giving him sudden shocks and rather prepare him slowly and make him ready to get him back into the family in a proper way so that he would not have to suffer for the mistakes of others. This was what I had said the other day too- but in a reverse manner- I had said that Varsha should have stayed in the Deshmukh house for the baby.

(And I know they wanted to bring him back home cos when Satish asked 'and then you will bring him back home', they did not say no we want you to keep him forever)
