I do agree with all that it is not the best to betray your family like archu did? But there is another angel to this. There are plenty of examples about parent (specially mom) killing their child or selling kids to get money. So, if these kids revolt, is this not acceptable.

In a way, I feel Archu was being forced into a compro marriage...I am not sure many would like to be in a situation like her.

Something that have been bothering me lately is that Savita is crying about Shravani leaving with little Sachu - was Savita thinking about this when she was asking Archana not to divorce Manav....How was she planning to keep little sachu if Manav and Archu didn't divorce --just thinking about the storyline here...any idea?

These are not characteristics of Karanjkars. They are very decent folk, who have always tolerated her manmani.

If she had put her foot down on wedding day saying I won't marry Jay, he is bad, her parents could have done NOTHING to get her forcibly married.

Any decent folks who has Baraat standing at door and all guest arrived at wedding of their divorcee daughter would have hard time to call off marriage , who have always tolerated her manmani. Didn't Archana tolerate Sulochana's manmani? If Sulochana gave in to Archana's manmani there is guilt hidden beneath for ruining her daughters life, firstly giving her difficult start in her marriage to Manav and then in not trusting Manav and bringing Archana back to her house after believing Ajit over Manav.

Archana already knew Jay is bad still she was ready to marry him. If Archana had stayed back she would have got married unless Karanjkars decided to call off the wedding.
