Ameesha Patel, best known for her roles in films like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, has been making selective but impactful appearances in recent times. After the massive success of Gadar 2 in 2023, the actress has been engaging more with fans through interviews and podcasts. In a recent conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on The Ranveer Show, Ameesha opened up about her personal views on relationships, particularly around the idea of being with someone less successful than herself.

During the candid chat, Ameesha addressed a commonly asked question: would she be okay being in a relationship with a man who is less successful? Responding with honesty, she said, “For me, money has never been in the game. But would I choose to be uncomfortable? I wouldn't. Because still, I have my standard of living. I was born with it, and I made it with my own hard work.

Reflecting on her journey, she added, “I have struggled. I have seen tough days. So if I want to see good days for the rest of my life, why will I lie about it?” Ameesha made it clear that comfort and financial independence are important values for her. She further explained that if she has time off and wishes to travel to places like London or New York, she wants to be able to do so without financial constraints.

If I have a 10-day break today and I want to go to London or New York, I want to be able to not struggle to do it. So I want to be with a partner who can afford that. Because I feel I have worked hard enough to deserve it now. I have done it myself,” she said.
