Lol high-five on that then.

I’m actually not as attached to Imarti as a lot of people in this forum seem to be 🤷‍♀️....The writers actually didn’t show much of her personality to get attached to....the focus has been on using her as a tragic plot device to lend emotional weight to HS ki story. But Imarti herself didn’t have anything unique in her to leave a strong impact on me 🤷‍♀️

They showed her as a very feminine, strong woman who loved her husband and was morbid about death. She was a pampered daughter. That is literally all we saw so I don’t know what else can be expounded on. There is no potential for more. It’s a very straightforward story.

Unlike HS-Babita who have way more layers to them as people to explore even now.

You spoke my mind! Where have you been all this while 😆

Tbh I didn't find any chemistry between them. No offence to those who liked them.

Bold - You said it all 👍🏼

LOL haha you too? I actually thought I’d be the only one.

I wouldn’t say Imarti-HS didn’t have chemistry but to me it was kind of a typical chemistry...push and pull waali typical passionate chemistry and the kind of scenes that many pairs on TV have. Also, I wasn’t very impressed by the actress playing Imarti. She acted aptly for the part, but I didn’t feel any special connection to her acting 🤷‍♀️

I’m more fascinated by the slow burn chemistry between HS-Babita....it’s so much more earthy and compelling to watch....two people so old school on the surface that they don’t even address each other by name, have barely held hands but just the way they look at each other screams of immense passion inside....it comes out once in a while and it’s all the more effective for that.

They didn't show much of Imarti to get impressed by her. But it's through HS's words all this while, we can build up a fierce and strong woman. When he spoke about her for the first time, he said.. Haq se jeeti thi. Apni marzi se. Ghunghat na daalti thi kabhi. Jaha jana hota tha jati thi. Ghumti thi. Kisi se na darti. Lekin ghar bhi utna hi sambhalti. Mere bapu ki seva bhi bahot ki usne. wo kya kehte hai.. feminist thi ekdam.

During Holi episodes, Babita denies going out to Mini and then Lala says he will go with Mini. To which Babes agrees but she herself didn't want to go out in fear of someone harassing them. Tyoharo mein hoti hai chhedkhani. HS then makes her realize ki.. aap kyu darr ke jiyo.

Later, Babita goes out, celebrates Holi. While applying color on HS, Babita says.. Yeh har ek aurat mein ubharti hui Imarti dekhna chahte hai. (Basically meaning that Woman who lives life on her terms. Without fear. With pride. Like it's her right.)

That summed up Imarti for me. And I like her for that. Apart from that, I don't want to delve deep into her story. Whatever we saw was crisp and perfect!

Exactly...Imarti is immortalized through HS’s words for her more than the actual scenes they showed of her....which is why she’s more effective as a plot device and symbol of woman empowerment....to help inspire HS, Babita and others at key points.

Sometimes a legend is more effective than the actual thing. Lol Imarti is more effective as a legend...where she can be viewed through the eyes of the people she impacted.

But I want this show to end after 300 episodes. With the speed show is going I think babes and Minnie will reach their destination by then. I don't want them to drag it.

I would definitely want to witness Imarti and Maan's tragic love story. I LOVE that woman. I would also want to see.how HS coped with her death until mother daughter came into his life.

I would watch Babitha' s story if Aniruddh plays Ashok .He will be a treat to eyes in grey shade. If that happens I would also like to see Meeetha angle and how Ashok fell for her. All this only if Aniruddh plays Ashok otherwise I am not interested in Babitha's story.

@bold, I think we might see some of this in flashbacks when HS starts to open up to Babita at some point or perhaps when there is some sort of reconciliation of past and present in his mind.

@bold -- So true. Completely agree. When you dig deep and show her day to day life, that larger than life persona impact is gone.

And then viewers will start saying things like, why did she put up with drunkard husband. 😆

No one has said it’s ending darling, a few months back the writers on twitter said it’s a finite show, meaning it probably won’t go on for years and years.

If they track Babita's story from around the age 18, when she was about to get married till after, then it'll be interesting since a lot happened.

  • She was forced to get married because of societal pressures
  • how she came to adjust living in the Khurana Mansion while killing bits of her own personality
  • Lovely & her sisterly relationship before Lovely got married
  • the loneliness she felt when Ashok left for London
  • getting pregnant at the age of 19 and having to be essentially a single mom
  • completing her studies whilst taking care of a young Minnie and the household
  • having to just take care of Minnie period and the complications that come with it

It's strange how both Babita and Imarti's life was filled with so much tragedy and yet upon their convergence, there was nothing but blissful nectar to be found. There's a lot of venom that needs to be sifted, but at the end of it, there is nothing but happiness to be found.

Aahh, now I really want these two shows to happen!

I can honestly see this show go on forever and not be disappointed. They're just that good.

Well this is what I actually thought of. I’m not too familiar with the culture in India but I often hear that within a home which has multiple generations, there is usually a hierarchy, the oldest being at the top. I also hear that married women, more often than not don’t find it easy. For one, being thrust into a new home with a new way of doing things, and how she’s just expected to spend her life adjusting. As a female myself who will never experience life this way it seemed so far fetched and out there so I thought it would be a nice way to see from a young naive age, the journey that a lot of women in India actually have to go through. Babita herself, having gone thru it, from dealing with lovely taking out her unhappiness on her to taunts about her husband being away, to being reduced to essentially a housemaid. There’s so much they can show, including lovely’s infertility issue (which I find strange how she’s the one who was taunted when it could actually be sukhi that’s infertile).

Honestly the way Hanuman and Naeem bi used to talk about her, I had high expectations, but I wasn't impressed by her acting and couldn't connect to the character either. She also looked so young. I didn't say anything before cuz people on the forum fell in love with her, so I didn't wanna offend anyone. But now I got you 😆 Anyways I'm glad her chapter is over. I'm so excited for Hanita's beautiful journey Also hoping Minni will pursue her photography dream 😎

@Bold - Same Hanita ki to baat hi kuch aur hai ❤️

Besides I'm a sucker for slow burn romance, but won't mind a Dheere Jalna part 2 😛
