Part 8:

Shiva asked her for baingan ka sabzi!!!! The mood swing tantrums Dhara would've thrown if she'd found out about this!

On the other hand, loved Mami's conversation with Raavi! Unlike Suman, Mami is just greedy for money and regressive in her own smaller ways, but is otherwise a good mother to Raavi. It makes sense that she wants her daughter to move on after the way she's been treated, but I'm glad she agreed to give Raavi space when she asked for it...

Also, I'm glad the call was cut before Raavi confessed to loving Shiva! He deserves to hear that only after he's apologised to her in my head...

When Raavi reached home through the balcony, she was so happy! She loved Shiva and now they were going to be together forever with the love and support of the family. She wasn't so worried about Prafulla and Suman anymore because she wasn't going to have to deal with them alone. Suddenly, she heard rapid knocking on her door.

"Ae Raavi, kitana soyegi! Chal jaag ja." Prafulla yelled from the outside, banging on the door.

Raavi hurriedly went to open the door and Prafulla stormed in as soon as she did.

Prafulla went straight to Raavi's wardrobe, picked out a dress, and said, "Chal Raavi, jaldi se yeh dress le aur taiyaar ho ja aur ..." But she stopped as soon as she turned around.

Raavi followed her gaze and realized that she didn't get a chance to remove the pillows from under the blanket. She got worried and started thinking about an excuse.

"Woh maasi yeh .. yeh dress kyun?" Raavi stammered a bit and asked trying to change the subject.

Prafulla pointed at the pillows covered with blanket and asked, "Pehle yeh bata ke yeh kya hai? Raat ko takiyon ko thand lag rahi thi jo unpe blanket daala hai?" and then suddenly her eyes widened with shock and she asked, "Tu ghar se gaayab thi Raavi? Haan?"

Raavi was in full blown panic mode now and tried hard to think of an excuse, "Woh maasi woh ..."

Prafulla cut her off and said, "Woh woh kya? Sach sach bata? Kya chal raha hai?"

"Kuch nahi maasi! Woh toh mein .. mein .. woh mujhe thoda akela feel ho raha tha toh company ke liye maine pillows bicchaaye aur unpe blanket daal diya!" Raavi said, her heart pounding. She knew she sounded ridiculous and strange but that's all she could think of at such a short notice.

To her surprise, however, Prafulla made a sad face and hugged her. "Bohot akela lag raha hai beta? Meri bacchi! Uss raakshas ke chakkar mein teri zindagi bilkul suni pad gayi!"

Raavi wanted to rebuke Prafulla for insulting Shiva but she decided to stay quiet because Prafulla believed her stupid excuse. Prafulla released her from the hug and kissed her forehead and said, "Koi baat nahi! Tera akelapan bohot jald dur ho jaaega. Teri zindagi khushiyon se bhar jaaegi. Somnaathji sab theek kar denge. Ja jaake taiyaar ho ja. Humein abhi mandir jaana hai."

Raavi smiled and, relieved, she went to the bathroom to get ready.

At the store, Dev and Krish couldn't stop teasing Shiva and Gautam enjoyed it. As annoyed as Shiva was, he was happy that his brothers and sisters-in-law were with them. Even though they always supported Shiva and Raavi's relationship, or rather supported Raavi in their relationship, this time their love and support felt different; this time, it meant a lot. Shiva was working in the back with a smile on his face while the teasing continued when Gautam came to him and lovingly put his hand on Shiva's head.

Shiva looked up and Gautam asked, "Tu khush hai ab! Hasta hua accha lagta hai. Hamesha aise hi khush rehna tu aur Raavi!"

Shiva's smile brightened and he hugged his Gaumbi. "Thank you Gaumbi!"

Gautam released him and asked, "Thank you kis liye?"

"Har cheez ke liye! Mujhe jhelne ke liye, mera gussa bardaasht karne ke liye, mujhe maaf karne ke liye, mujhe itana pyaar dene ke liye, aur sabe zyaad, hamesha Raavi ka saath dene ke liye." Shiva replied looking down and added, "aapne uska saath nahi diya hota toh woh pata nahi kaise jhelti mujh jaise jaahil ko!"

"Chup!" Gautam lightly slapped him and said, "Apne baare mein aisi baate kyun karta hai Shiva? Bas ek shabd muh pe chadha liya hai."

When Shiva didn't meet his eyes, he cupped his face and made him looked up and said, "Aaj ke baad tere muh se yeh shabd kabhi nahi sunn na chahta mein. Mera bhai hai tu, ek bohot accha insaan hai. Haan gussa aata hai tujhe, galtiyaan bhi karta hai tu, lekin apni galtiyaan sudhaarna bhi jaanta hai. Aur rahi baat Raavi ko support karne ki, toh mere liye toh woh bhi bilkul tum teeno jaisi hai. Aur aaj ke baad kabhi bhi khud ko kisi se kam nahi samajhna, theek hai? Warna mujhe lagega ki mein apni zimmedaari nahi nibha paaya. Mein fail ho gaya!"

"Nahi Gaumbi! Bilkul nahi." Shiva said guiltily and hugged Gautam.

"Gaumbi, hum bhi toh hai!" Dev and Krish said at once and joined in on the hug.

Just then Gautam got a call from Suman. Shiva looked at the caller ID and turned around and went back to work. He hadn't spoken to Suman since their fight. Even though he felt guilty for speaking to her so rudely, his resentment towards her hadn't gone down much. Gautam picked up the call and spoke to her briefly and hung up. He informed the rest that Suman had called everyone to the temple and that Dhara and Rishita were going to meet them there. Dev and Krish agreed but Shiva made an excuse that someone had to stay back at the store. Gautam refused and said that Suman had specifically asked for Shiva to go.

"Mujhe nahi jaana Gaumbi. Aap jaao!" Shiva replied firmly.

"Shiva, kab tak avoid karega Ma ko?" Dev asked and added, "Aur kyun? Tu unse naraaz hai mein samajh sakta hu lekin ab jaane bhi de na? Apni baat saaf saaf bata di na hum ne unhe ab kuch nahi karengi woh. Aur fir Raavi ke saath ek nayi zindagi tujhe ussi ghar mein, sab ke saath, shuru karni hai. Uske baare mein bhi soch."

Shiva didn't like it but he had to admit that holding a grudge against Suman was going to create more problems for him and Raavi. So, reluctantly, he agreed to go to the temple with everyone.

Nice update! Both are in a happy space and now have the brothers and SIL's support as well. Probably that's how it is meant to be. They were joined in the union by Dhara unwillingly. but had to do it anyway for family's sake. But this time around they have actually fallen in love with each other and will be in the relationship for themselves❤️

I am curious to read what this new kaand going to the Temple is all about. Mami is going with Raavi and Suman has asked all the brothers and the other bahus to come to the Temple as well. Hope it's a happy reunion, keeping fingers crossed.

Do I sense a showdown at the temple? I loved how happy the both of them are in their newfound love and acceptance. It was just, all heart! ❤️

By the time Shiva, Gautam, Dev, and Krish reached the temple, Dhara and Rishita were already there with Suman. They were sitting and chatting with other ladies of the town. As soon as Shiva made eye contact with Suman, he wanted to go away from there but he willed himself to stay calm for his and Raavi's sake. They prayed at the alter and walked towards the ladies. Suddenly, Shiva stopped as he felt a familiar presence and turned towards the entrance to see Raavi coming up the stairs with Prafulla. She was wearing a beautiful and simple red saari. Her silky hair was down and gently brushing her shoulders and back sending a sharp pang of jealousy through his heart. Her hazel eyes were shining bright with kaajal and the only jewelry she had on were two thin bracelets and earrings. Even in simplicity she was so mesmerizing!

Raavi saw Shiva looking at her and felt shy! She knew he was taking every inch of her in and couldn't meet his eyes. Prafulla was a few steps ahead of her so she stepped behind her and hid from Shiva's gaze. She peeked at him over Prafulla's shoulder and saw him smirking with his eyes still looking deep into hers. Shiva's gaze sent butterflies flying wildly in her stomach. Suddenly, his smile disappeared as something behind her caught his attention. Raavi turned around to take a look and saw Disha entering with her parents making her smile fade away completely.

Shiva saw Disha and her family walking towards Suman as Suman greeted them. He instantly understood why Suman insisted on him coming to the temple. Apparently, nothing he had said about not wanting to marry Disha made a zilch of difference to either Suman or Disha. His anger took over but before he could say anything his eyes met Raavi's and seeing the life drain from her face broke his heart. In that moment, he wanted to hug her and tell her that he was hers only. He wanted take her hand disappear from this place forever. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see his brothers standing right behind him. Dhara and Rishita also stepped forward and stood next to him making him relax a little.

Raavi was visibly upset seeing Disha walking towards Shiva and the family. She looked at Shiva and realized that he was just as upset with her presence. She wanted to run to him and hug him and tell the world he was hers and hers alone but before she could do that, unaware of the her suffering, Prafulla grabbed her hand and took her to a family waiting by the alter. She greeted them and introduced Raavi to the family and asked Raavi to take the elders' blessing. Raavi obliged and the woman of the family, blessed her and hugged her.

"Aapki Raavi bohot khubsurat hai Prafullaji!" the new woman said, gently caressing Raavi's cheek.

"Ji Shaantiji! Meri bacchi dil ki bohot aachi hai. Masters ki padhaai kar rahi hai abhi aur saath hi saath ghar ka saara kaam bhi bohot acche se sambhaal leti hai." Prafulla said with utmost pride.

Dread spread through Raavi's heart hearing this as she realized what was happening. She looked at Shiva who was witnessing and realizing the same. Before she could say or do anything, a guy came forward and Shaanti introduced him as her son Shubham.

Shubham extended his hand and said, "Hi!"

Raavi looked at him and unable to think of a way out, she shook his hand and said, "Hello!"

Rage filled every corner of Shiva's being seeing Raavi hold Shubham's hand. Raavi was only his and as possessiveness took over, he started to go towards them but someone held his hand and stopped him. He turned around to see Disha holding his hand and he felt disgusted as usual.

"Hi Shiva! Kaisa hai?" Disha said with a smile.

Shiva was about to snatch his hand back when Suman encompassed both Shiva and Disha's hands in hers and said, "Woh bilkul theek ho jaaega. Ab tune jo haath thaam liya hai uska!"

Shiva was shocked hearing this and, outraged, he looked at Dev who had advised him to stop avoiding Suman.

Dev looked guiltily at him and tried to fix the situation by saying, "Ma yeh aap kya kar rahe ho? Uss din Shiva ne jo kuch bhi kaha ..."

But Suman cut him off and said, "Uss din Shiva ne jo kuch bhi kaha woh gusse mein kaha! Gusse mein kahi baaton ka bura thodi na maante hai? Aaj Shiva aur Disha ki sagaai ho jaaye fir sab theek ho jaaega!"

Raavi heard this and turned around to look at Shiva who was shell-shocked hearing this. Just then Prafulla put a hand on her shoulder and started praising Shubham and said, "Ek baar tum dono baat kar lo phir hum rishte ki baat aage badhaate hai."

Even though Raavi figured what this meeting with Shubham and his family was all about, she was still shocked to hear Prafulla say it out loud. Shiva and the Pandyas also heard that and, except for Suman, everyone else got worried. Shiva and Raavi looked at each other, still holding Disha and Shubham's hands respectively. Raavi and Shiva looked back at their mothers and saw that both Prafulla and Suman were giving each other challenging looks.

Raavi was first to react as she snatched her hand back and said, "Maasi yah sab kya hai? Aap zara aao mere saath aur meri baat suno!"

"Iss mein sunn na kya hai? Maine kaha tha na ke bohot jald tera akelapan dur ho jaaega! Woh dekh Raavi .." Prafulla said and pointed to Shiva and Disha still holding hands and said, "woh badh chuka hai apni zindagi mein aage. Haath thaam liya hai uss ne uss ladki ka! Ab tujhe bhi aage badhna hoga."

Raavi looked at Shiva and got upset seeing him still holding Disha's hand. Shiva realized that and tried to snatch away his hand but Suman kept a firm grip on their hands and said, "Kyun nahi badhega aage mera Shiva? Kya lagta hai sabko ki mera beta kisi kaagdi k peeche apni zindagi barbaad karega?"

Raavi looked at Shiva helplessly. Shiva felt guilty hearing Suman insulting Raavi again and was about to say something when Prafulla interjected and said, "Zindagi kisne kis ki kharaab ki woh toh puri duniya jaanti hai. Pehle iss Dhara ne meri beti ko jhoothe sapne dikhaaye, fir iss Dev ne bhare mandap mein meri bacchi ko badnaam hone ke liye chod diya, fir iss Dhara ne iss Shiva se uski shaadi karva di, aur phir Shiva ne sabke saamne Raavi ko badnaam kar ke usse talaaq de kar aise apne ghar aur apni zindagi se nikaal phenka jaise koi sada hua daant ukhaad ke phenk de! Aur itane se bhi aapka pet nahi bhara toh aap Raavi ke uss ghar mein hote hue apne bete ke liye ek dusari ladki le aaye! Ab baatye koi, kisne kiski zindagi barbaad ki!"

Shiva finally snatched his hand out of Suman and Disha's grip and said, "Maami ..."

"Nahi Shiva! Ek minute!" Rishita stopped him and came forward and said, "Maami, Raavi ke saath jo kuch bhi hua uske liye Dhara bhabhi nahi, Dev aur mein responsible hai. Aur rahi baat Shiva ki toh ..."

"Shiva ke aur mere beech jo kuch bhi hua usme hum dono ki galti thi." Raavi interjected and looked at Rishita with gratitude.

Raavi continued, "Maasi taali kabhi ek haath se nahi bajti! Agar humaare rishte ke tootne ke liye Shiva responsible hai toh mein bhi utani hi responsible hu."

Prafulla was about to rebuke Raavi for blaming herself but Shiva didn't give her a chance. He turned to Suman and said, "Aur aap se maine pehle bhi kaha tha ke jo kuch bhi mere aur Raavi ke beech hua usme uska ko dosh nahi tha. Jo kuch bhi hua hamaare beech woh meri insecurities aur galatfemi ki waja se hua. Fir bhi aap usse aise badnaam karengi? Aur aapko lagta hai mein aap ko karne dunga?"

Now Suman was pissed and said, "Uss ladki ke liye tu apni Ma ka apmaan karega?"

"Nahi! Mein aapko Raavi ke saath kuch bhi galat karne se rokunga! Agar aapko yeh apmaan lagta hai toh woh hi sahi!" Shiva replied firmly and walked up to Raavi and took her hand.

"Pyaar karta hu mein Raavi se! Shaadi meri ussi se hogi! Chaahe kuch bhi ho jaaye!" Shiva proclaimed.

Raavi looked at him with tears of happiness gathering in her eyes and said, "Mein bhi Shiva se bohot pyaar karti hu aur uske siva aur kisiki nahi banungi!"

Prafulla and Suman were shocked hearing this! Both of them charged towards Shiva and Raavi to separate them but Gautam, Dhara, Dev, Rishita, and Krish stood in front of them.

Seeing this both Disha, Shubham, and their families left angrily and Suman and Prafulla were embarrassed. When Suman started to leave, however, Raavi held on to her wheelchair and sat down in front of her.

She held Suman's hands and said, "Kaaki, mujhe pata hai ke mujhse galtiyaan hui hai. Maine Shiva ko bohot galat samjha aur uski insult ki lekin yakeen maaniye, mein dil se uss se rishta jodna chahti hu. Aap chaahe toh saza de dijiye lekin please mujhe maaf karke ek aur mauka dijiye. Please Kaaki?"

Prafulla was about to make Raavi get up when Shiva stepped in front of her, folded his hands, and said, "Maami, tera ... matlab, aapka aur mera rishta chaahe jaisa bhi ho, mein Raavi se sach mein bohot pyaar karta hu. Usse bohot khush rakhunga. Bholenaath ki kasam. Aap please hume aashirwaad de do."

Seeing Shiva talking to her so politely for the first time in her life, Prafulla was taken aback. She looked at Raavi who was looking at her and Suman with pleading eyes and said, "Agar usse zara si bhi takleef hui tere saath toh mein meri bacchi ko ..."

Shiva cut her off and held her hands and said, "Nahi hogi! Mein usse kabhi koi takleef nahi hone dunga. Waada karta hu." Prafulla wasn't convinced a 100% but she nodded, giving Shiva and Raavi a fair chance.

Suman saw this and looked at Raavi. Everyone else was looking at them, too, when Shiva sat next to Raavi and said, "Ma, tu jaanti hai ki jo kuch bhi hua usme Raavi ki koi galti nahi thi. Fir kya ho gaya hai tujhe?"

"Mujhe kya ho gaya hai?" Suman asked in disbelief. She pointed at Raavi and said, "Isse puch ke isse kya ho gaya tha!"

Seeing Raavi so confused Suman slapped her lightly and said, "Bachpan se yeh Shiva tujhe pareshaan karta tha na? Kitani koshish karta tha woh tujhe ghar se baahar nikaal ne ki!? Par tujhe woh toh kya koi nahi rok paata tha! Tu khud haq se aai aur zabardasti hum sab ki apni ho gai! Aur fir jab rishta sach mein bandh gaya, toh pehli mushkil aate hi tu sab chhod ke chali gai? Yeh tera ghar hai, tera parivaar hai ... ” Against her nature, Suman got tears in her eyes as she added, “Hamaari bahu hone se pehle hamaari beti hai tu! Mere ghar mein mere baccho ke saath saath teri bhi hasi aur sharaaratein basi hui hai; tera bachpan basa hua hai! Ek baar apni Kaaki ka, apne Dhara di aur Gaumbi ka, aur baaki sab ka khayaal nahi aaya tujhe? Aur humein chhod ke chali gai tu? Rishta sirf Shiva se tha tera? Hum koi nahi the tere?"

Raavi and Shiva were shocked hearing this! Raavi knew that Suman cared about her once but, she never knew how much she meant to her and the whole family. She put her head in Suman’s lap and cried. Suman put her hand on Raavi’s head and made her look up. She kissed her on the forehead and hugged her.

Raavi released herself from the hug and said, "Kaaki, sorry! Mujhe bohot gussa aa gaya tha. Please mujhe maaf kardo! Mein fir kabhi nahi jaaungi aapko chhod ke!" Raavi said holding her ears.

"Tu ja ke toh dikha! Yeh chhadi ghuma dungi tujhpe!" Suman said and smiled. Everyone smiled, too.

Suman looked at Shiva, pulled his ear, and said, "Aur tu! Bada aaya mujhe lecture denewaala! "Ma Tu" se "Ma Aap" pe aa gaya tu? Aaj ke baad kabhi iss Gaay ko rulaaya na toh tujhe ghar se nikaal dungi aur fir Prafulla .." she looked at Prafull and added, "Tu isse apne ghar le jaake jo saza deni hai woh dena!"

Prafulla agreed with a big smile. Raavi and everyone else laughed hearing this and Suman gave a victorious smile to Shiva. When Shiva made a face, Suman cupped his face and with a smile, she said, "Muh matt chadha! Smile... smile..." making Shiva smile, too as he hugged her. Soon Raavi and the rest of the family joined in. Shiva grabbed Raavi's hand and with a promise of a lifetime of togetherness, they looked forward to a beautiful and happy life.

Finally both spoke up and thank God for that.
