Excellent observations as always 🤗! The wedding sequences always hold a special placed in my heart because every microexpression, every dialogue, every scene can be interpreted in many, many different ways. A few months ago, we debated about the possibility of attraction and whether it always existed between Shiva and Raavi, and back then there was a 50/50 split of some believing the attraction started early (I am guilty of this) and some believing that what Shiva was feeling wasn't attraction... but something else entirely. We've come a long way now, with many of the forum members jumping board on the attraction starting early train 🤣.
About a month ago, I was randomly thinking back to the potential relationship Raavi and Shiva shared before marriage. There's endless possibilities the CVs could take to build their relationship, but what I find most interesting is how the CVs never shied away from showing us just how close they are to each other. They had seemingly different rules. Societal boundaries between men and women didn't exist between them, as countless amounts of times Shiva and Raavi were able to invade each other's space without any thought. They were able to touch each other (whether it be grabbing the arms or spreading haldi over the face).
Even though it didn't seem so, they are really in tune with each other's emotions. Shiva's watchful eyes during Raavi's breakdown scene was just so, so, so amazingly shot. For me, the marriage sequence and the watchful eyes was where KD shined the most. You could see a flood of contradictory emotions of "Why do I want to so desperately reach out to her and calm her down" to "Other people are taking care of her, so why should I? She should've known she and Dev weren't meant to be" especially when he clenched his fist. Afterwards, during and after the great Dhara daanda scene, Raavi's eyes were acutely aware of Shiva's pain. Even when she touched his scars, it seemed she was more interested in wanting to soak up his every expression, wanting to etch it into her mind.
They knew too much about each other despite being so called "enemies" and that made me really think about their relationship as I wasted away my free time waiting for my Starbucks drink... I started wondering if the reason they were seemingly so close, yet so distant was somehow related to Pandya Sr. Now this is all a theory, so please take it with a grain of salt, but I used to wonder whether Pandya Sr. pushed Raavi and Shiva together into becoming friends because they were the same age. And those initial days of playing caused Shiva to be the first Pandya family member to accept her into the family (hence why she wanted Shiva to sit next to her instead of Shiva and Krish) making her realize just how beautiful the family was.
I wouldn't be too surprised if they became best friends (like two peas in a pod style) where they knew everything about each other. It would potentially explain the comfort level they have for each other (I don't think Krish could ever get as close as Shiva is to her had she married Dev). However, their friendship was put to a hold after Pandya Sr.'s death, and that's when Shiva pushed her away. Their initial friendship could be the reason why Raavi so strongly believes Shiva is a nice guy, even if he spent years bullying her. And perhaps her love for Dhara stemmed from her realizing that Dhara shared a few similar characteristics to Pandya Sr. (another reason why Suman is trying to mold Dhara into becoming stronger, so she wouldn't have to suffer the same fate as Pandya Sr.)
An alternative explanation I came up with was that every time Raavi or Shiva experienced sadness, they somehow found each other, spilled all their feelings, and went their merry way, trusting that the other wouldn't publicize anything. They could've put a pause on their bantering, just to bring a smile to the other's face.
Regardless, there is a ton of potential storylines to explain Dev and Gaumbi's dialogues of how the their worlds only revolved around each other.
PS: Ranata Suzuki's quote perfectly explains their relationship in my opinion 💗
