You know I love your analysis and look forward to them but this one is my favourite🌺

All I can say is that you made me feel each and every emotion that I felt while watching the episode itself!

Poora wahan jo hua wo yaha daal dia❤

Now I am just gonna go and watch this chotu shiva-raavi episode and phir aj ka wapis se!

Thank you piu🌺

Thank you so much 🤗for taking out time to read comment and like this thread. The episodes of the kid actors have so many layers and Nuances that I feel like capturing every second of their expression.

P. S And yeah I love the song, it was there for a reason. I knew about he song because of my Abu. I have always listened to songs from that time because of him.

And today after listening to it in the episode, I was humming it the entire day😆

I love this song selection for this scene. They have such a beautiful lyrics which talks about new beginnings forgetting whatever they shared in the past.

But I wanted to specifically thank you for going into depth about the “Chalo Ek Baar Phir Se” song. I had never heard of it before and did not know if the history you detailed. I was scratching my head trying to figure out the song while seeing the scene. Now, with the context ,you provided I will enjoy the scene when re-watching.

Let’s hope the makers delve into Shiva’s childhood feelings angle 🤞

Honestly, I really do not have much hope from the makers to delve deep into the psychology of their past. However, one can only hope that they touch slightly on the kind of relationship they shared right from their childhood. Coming to the song, it’s one of Sahir Ludhianvi‘s classics. I have a penchant for yesteryear UrduPoets and the writings. Sahir Ludhianvi, Amrita Pritam Ismat Chughtai and Saadat Hasan Manto are the quadratures I am smitten with. Thank you so much for taking out time to read this and for your lovely words of appreciation.

How well you have explained Shiva's triumph in scaring his chipkali, his uninhibited laughter, his clapping hands, characteristics that are very much part with him. Today we got to see the prankster Shiva yet again after the chudail kaand. You are right about transition not being well executed, but that's ok, we are used to it by now. But I would like to say one thing here about Shiva, as he is the only character who has multiple characteristics that come out appropriately depending on the situation.

Prema, big hugs my soul sister.🤗
You are absolutely right about Shiva having multiple dimensions and layers in his character. He grew up too fast voluntarily unlike Gautam who had to step into his Dads shoes. Somehow, I feel that his childhood could have been more peaceful had he not been this sensitive. But, as they say, not everyone can think alike. He has tons of unresolved issues from childhood and hence he Secretly years for validation.

I am into old BW songs because of my Dad. I have heard this song countless times in my life and was little surprised whe they played it until I saw the scene. That said, song in itself has a deep meaning and it was used from Raavi's POV where she wants to start this relationship from the beginning on a clean state. This is Raavi talking. She is immature sometimes and in her over excitement doesn't think before what she says. But Shiva on the other hand, even with a tede dimaag 😆understood what she meant but did not agree to it only because of their past. He doesn't want to erase all that memory from his childhood and start afresh. His dialogues were

"shuruat se shuru karne ke liye, bachpan mein jaana padega, aur mere bachpan ke har hisse me na, tujhse ladai ki kisse hain"

I am happy that he outright rejected her. Their childhood is an integral part of their lives and as you said, most of their adulthood issues are deeply rooted in their childhood. In Shiva's case, we have seen it play again, first it was the kangan issue and now this.

Frankly, even I am glad that he rejected her friendship, strangers and peace offering. These two share to Deep a history do not let it all together.

Thanks you for taking us back to their childhood with those beautiful caps and the interaction between the three of them. While Raavi considers Shiva the villain, he on the other hand considered Dev to be the villain for constantly supporting Raavi. I would like the makers to delve on this more and bring us Shiva's thoughts and his POV on Raavi. I would also like to know the answers to the questions you posed. Did he enjoy teasing her secretly? Did he get annoyed when he didn’t have attention?

That said, do you think Shiva's this rejection of starting out as strangers and then friends stemmed after seeing Dev-Raavi's interaction earlier that night. I am sure Shiva must have understood from the interaction that Dev wants to continue his childhood friendship with Raavi, but with him she wants to start on a clean state as strangers? Shiva definitely wants something more than a friendship.

Anyway I am happy he rejected it. neither they deserve to start as strangers nor he deserves to be friend zoned😆 and is now looking for more from her, which ofcourse he is not going to disclose to Raavi. It is up to her to figure where they are headed.

I am excited to see the progress in their love towards each other, especially Raavi, who is only physically attracted to him, likes being near him, calls him a hero and knows he is always there to protect her

P.S: I will wait for you to update subsequent posts to comment on them😃

I know that I am keeping my hopes do High for a family show. I will be deeply overwhelmed even if they touch the surface of it. I think the progression from Ravi side is more to do with her peace with the current scenario. Ravi had always serious abandonment issues and the moment she’s In even a meagre sense of hope, she rekindles her spiritWhile latching on to the new-found feelings. She is a perfect foil to the closed Shiva.

Thank you so much for taking out time, your kind words of appreciation mean a lot. Stay tuned for more!

EDIT:

I loved loved Shiva’s happy, carefree, innocent joy today on the success of his prank today! ❤️

Hats off to how you expanded upon the lyrics of the song Chalo ek Baar pair.. very significant and symbolic! 👏

ShiVi’s childhood is always a joy to read about! Chotu Shiva is such a treat to watch 😆

Villain Shiva throwing juice on Raavi was one of my fav scenes .. I’m pretty sure he secretly enjoyed teasing/annoying her 😆

My fav lines from your post: From Dev's pretty princess, he made her his Raavi. And that is what she remains, to this day, and forever

Can’t wait for your next one!

Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation.🤗

It was such a breather and a refreshing episode to see Shiva smiling with no bars hold for the first time. I wish I could go back to all the childhood memories of Shiva and Ravi and dive deeper into their psyche.

I will not deny thatThe childhood is a box of treasured memories and it would be so unfair on the part of Ravi to lock away those memories and start fresh.

Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation. It brings me joy that this post was able to put a smile on your face.

One thing I wanted to add from my end. I was rewatching the Mujhse Dosti Karogi scene. If I had to put into words Shiva’s emotions, I would say: “Not Again”. He wasn’t outright jealous or angry or hurt. Instead, it was a pinch of all these emotions mixed in with flashes of their childhood. 💔 I felt in that second he was transported back in time. Which is why her suggestion of being strangers affected him so much.

I agree. The expression was not of that annoyance or anger. It was more to do with a solid resignation of refusal to be teleported and starting afresh. It could also relate back to the fact that friendship and camaraderie was something that was exclusively privy to Dev And Ravi. Shiva probably didn’t want to tread into a zone which was not his exclusive. We do not get much insight into Shiva’s mind or his monologues. But, I am so excited For this track. I felt that if friendship was Dev and Ravi’s thing, Ladai or their constant fights what is their thing! He didn’t want to let go of that feeling of exclusivity.

Coming to Dev, I found Chota Dev’s tone while speaking to Raavi so adorable. It wasn’t the typical Im bored but I’ll reply (which a lot of little boys do when asked for compliments). He was being genuine. There was so much innocence and warmth in his reply. I think that’s another reason why I found his apology and attempt at bringing back their friendship so genuine. Doesn’t absolve him of what he did but I do believe Dev is being genuine. He cares for Raavi, his friend. The Raavi that loved him is one he never really understood.

There is no doubt that Dave has always been a very genuine person. He might not be the passionate hero, but there’s a certain amount of sincerity in his actions.

Can’t wait to read the rest!! ❤️ I have Mon off and I am taking vacation days tomorrow n Fri. So will have a very long weekend! I plan to read and comment in more detail! This post was such a solid read! Took away all my stress from the hectic day! Thanks again for tagging 🤗

I’m glad that this post could take away stress from your life. Honestly, given the past few months of death, destruction and devastation in the country, this show has been my only refuge and rescue from the real life hardships. I have read your comment and trust me that’s the sweetest thing that I have ever come across. 🤗I will reply to it. Thank you again for investing your time to read this thread.

So true.he always triggers at the mention of Dev.

Infact in all their pre wedding scenes, his anger rose whene she mentions Dev.

Kuch to lochaa hai.

I love this depth of their relationship ❤️.

I felt as if I am watching the episode again.tge caps coupled with your analysis is gold 😍

Thank you for this🤗🤗

Thank you so much.🤗 I am glad that This could resonate with you. I agree that even the tiny versions of Shiva and Ravi had a very good camaraderie. They were both in their elements, and had set the tone for what was about to happen in the future. I have always noticed that she was anger compounded manifold whenever Ravi was chanting Dev. I’m not sure whether the CVs would explore this further, but I have genuinely felt that Siva was terribly attracted to her and obsessed with her in his unique twisted way.

The word Locha reminds me of Locha-E-Ulfat Ho Gaya. Thank you so much again for your valuable comment.😝

What a transition how this relationship did cross boundaries and transcend so powerfully

U have given life to it all ur way, like catharsis!

It is such a pleasure to read from you dr

Much love

Jen

Thank you so much, Jen 🤗
Trust me, I had an equally emotional reaction while writing it. I went through the episodes multiple times, and it was like capturing a journey of a lifetime for Shiva and Ravi along with Dev.

These are people who grew up together and share such a rich history with certain amount of volatility. How can we even forget all that is left behind them and start fresh? It was indeed a cathartic journey for me. Thank you for understanding and I’m glad that you could resonate with the feelings that were discussed in this topic.Keep reading. Thank you🤗

Shiva and Raavi's childhood has shaped them into their respective roles at the moment. They have lessons to unlearn but that does not mean they need to or even can erase their childhood. Feeling cannot be wiped away. We as humans learn to grow around them.

Well written opinion piece.❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation. 🤗

Contrary to the popular belief, childhood is something which you can’t forget so quickly, and most of our psychological issues which we face later in life, are rooted deeply in our childhood issues. We carry forward such experiences what our life, and that makes us who we become later. Wiping away your childhood is like erasing everything about you.

Ab villain and heroine ke beech main hero ka kya kaam
Correct! And that’s my favourite genre 😆 villain gets the girl 😂

🤗 Looking forward to the rest Piuuuu

Thank you so much for all that love.🤗

You should probably start and read some of the works of Sahir Ludhianvi. You will thoroughly enjoy it. ❤️

He wrote a lot about haunting loneliness and unrequited love which was similar to his real life turmoil with Amrita Pritam.

Well, my favourite genre is also Ek villain Ki love story. 🤗😆
We all love to read the bad boy meets the girl story. That’s our most cliched guilty pleasure, isn’t it?

I shall also look forward to your feedback on rest of the updates.
