Most of the things she ask jeeva moorthy dhanam was a right one but they ignore her because her way of asking was not good and her initial insensitive behaviour. Jeeva's condition is very worse if he supports his wife his bhabhi won't talk with him. If he supports his Bhabhi his wife will fight with him.

Now Meena is grown to be a sweet character.

Initially they had a very formal "non-relationship" where they hardly ever spoke or just ignored each other. There were a few scenes of kathir helping meena when she was in trouble which were nice to watch. After meena got pregnant and KM's relationship improved, they slowly started turning cordial and interacting more

In recent episodes their relationship has improved by leaps and bounds. They have had multiple funny, good natured bantering scenes.. both actors have a superb comic timing so it's really great to watch

There was very less combination scene between Kathir and Meena. But one thing he never disrespected her even though he hardly addressees her as Bhabhi. He once adviced kanna to respect Meena since she is his Bhabhi. Now they are showing Kathir come out of his shell so there is some friendly banter between Meena and Kathir.

So mullai will wanna buy a "surprise " gift fr kathir on his Birthday. But she doesn't have money.

So she will make up her mind and with lot of hesitation she will ask dhanam money. But dhanam kinda misunderstands that shes asking simply and leaves it off.

So mullai decides to pawn her ring.

But mullais mother comes to knw abt this and makes a huge scene in their house. That time everybody in the house including dhanam and moorthy(gautam) lashes at her. And they give her silent treatment as punishment

But when kathir comes to knw abt tht he clears the matter infront of family. Telling she wanted to buy gift fr me and hence I feel even I became a reason fr this. That's like the 1st time hes supporting someone infront of family.

Even meena(rishita) will tell abt this to jeeva(dev) abt this and fight with him.

That mullai is lucky to get a husband who supports her infront of family.😃

Come to think of it, it was such a complex story arc. It covered financial independence of the girls in such a beautiful way.

As stated above, Mullai does ask Dhanam first, but I think the whole concept of surprise gifts was foreign to Dhanam. Mullai then mulls over(pun unintended 😋) the issue and thinks of asking her father. There again we get a different viewpoint, where after you get married, there is always a hesitancy to ask for money, even from your parents.

Meena and Mullai decide to work on some chores for the store for money, but Moorthy ends up paying a token amount for Rs 100, because he feels that they worked out of love and not money. He thought they would feel bad taking money 🤣 But that was his point of view.

Mullai gets heartbroken, Meena gets pissed. Then the ring pawning fiasco happens. Even though Mullai pawned her ring (a ring her parents got her), she gets belted by her parents and in-laws, because then it is a issue of status. She does’nt have the independence to use even the things her parents give her.

At the end of the track, every character actually is forced to re-assess how they view money, and most importantly how the new daughter in laws have needs.

Both jeeva and Kathir accepted the money with so much hesitancy But meena used that money in buying unwanted things while mullai used it to buy books for kathir

When I watched bengali version of ghum, I could understand a lot of things since I have bengali friends also and its a lot like hindi

But the southern languages are so different yaar

I only watched one episode of Pandian store (out of curiosity) but couldn't understand anything. Even the culture and everything is so different, I couldn't even understand the events happening.

So I ended up admiring Mullai's yellow saari the whole time😆 (Seriously man, it was so beautiful, I finally understood the craze of kanjivaram sari🤣🤣

On a side note, I am not even sure if it was kanjivaram or not🤣but it looked like a silk sari so that's my guess)

First time in my life I wished to wear a sari🤣

Though I didn't watch the bengali version but as far as I could understand from the promos Rusha ( Rishita's character) remained negative throughout and Riya (Raavi) & Subho(Shiva) confessed their love in the last episode only . Moreover Subho wasn't into manhandling like Shiva, their banter were more kinda cutesy ones . Moreover , due to the poor performance of the serial on trp charts , the makers just messed up the entire storyline ending it abruptly with Bhagyashree ( Dhara) enrolling for CA. But there was no such bhabi jaaps and no leap ( it directly started with Bodhi-Bhagya( Gaumbi-Dhara) marriage).

About the Marathi remake, I don't know😅

Which episode?....I would suggest you all watch the kodaikanal track of tamil version...that was one of the most beautiful tracks...

Hello everyone...I am new here to this forum.

I was active a few years back.

Coming to Pandya stores...my mother likes to watch the Tamil version and I follow the show along with her.

we were excited about the Telugu version but later were hugely disappointed with it.

Hindi version is also not so nice. I feel they are just spooling the essence and purity of the show by remaking with their own twist.
