Everyone has the freedom to live their life by their own choices. How much are they going to pressurise and suffocate him in the name of love for family? I mean everything has a limit. Dev and rishita's all big mistakes are forgiven but he has to suffer for even small mistakes. So much injustice being shown. No one can tolerate so much of madness. Eventually a person has to vent out somehow. I really feel sad for Shiva as no one loves him unconditionally.

Sorry for the ranting. I did not mean to offend anyone. Its just my perspective about the show. 😊😳

@bold: this is really heartbreaking but true.. he gives unconditional love but does not receive it in return 💔😔

Exactly exactly!!

That is precisely why I'm mad at Dhara at the moment.😔

My poor bean deserves better.

I hope they dramatised the promo, and when we see it all we're fairly surprised (I'm holding onto that 1% hope).

Me too eh! Fingers crossed.

Forget being acknowledged, the poor bean is being clobbered 🤔

Shiva's prank was way out of the line. Exploiting someone's fears is not funny, he needs to understand that. The lie he told to Raavi today was misuse of whatever little trust she has on Shiva.

However, I fail to see what good beating him does. Would he understand where he went wrong? No.

Instead Rishita and Raavi will hold a grudge against Shiva and vice-a-versa.

Its also true that Dhara took the liberty to beat him up because she knows he'll never hold it against her. Though I feel neither Dhara nor Gaumbi have calculatedly decided to manipulate Shiva, but yes, subconsciously, they are taking him for granted. I had said this in some other post also, personally (emphasis on personally) for some reason I feel Shiva values GauRa's sacrifices more than Dev or Krish. Which is also why he is ready to do anything for them. Which is also why they always count on him.

Which is also unfortunately the reason they expect him, and to an extent Raavi also, to always understand.

Unpopular opinion : Though Raavi is also not being treated in the most reasonable manner, but still Dhara is more empathetic to her pain than she is to Shiva. Though Dhara keeps pushing her more than needed, she has also apologized to her many times. She has also kept her ears open when Raavi needed. The place where she is going wrong now is failing to give her some time to adjust, expecting her to change instantly.

Shiva on the other hand, she has only apologized once, that too she didn't say anything further when he denied being wronged. Except that one time, she always complains to him. That he needs to change his way of living, his clothes, his attitude towards Raavi, etc. Even when he expressed his vulnerability in front of her, that she has never judged him in the past, no matter what others said. Then also she did not say much to reassure him.

@bold: don't know if it is unpopular, but I feel the same way. Dhara and the others are definitely more sensitive and empathetic to raavi's pain than Shiva's. Maybe because they feel guilty to have led her on/explicitly wronged her. They have wronged Shiva too but they don't seem to understand that.

I think it applies to both Shiva and Raavi, Everything fell into place just because they sacrificed a part each but most of the times all we get to see is, the elders approaching both of them, asking Shiva to control his anger or Raavi to move on. I have never seen anyone constantly putting the pressure of apologizing to Dev or making Rishita realize she has Dev only because Raavi didn't make a bigger fuss about it and Shiva agreed to just marry someone out of the blue except the one time Gaumbi spoke with Rishita about Raavi in last episode.

In my opinion, both Shiva and Raavi are taken for granted, at least slightly yes. And hitting someone is surely not the best thing to do neither I liked it even though Shiva's prank had turned too much by the end of it, anything could have happened to Rishita out of shock.

I agree with you as well! Regarding the bolded section, I was rewatching the scene and I think she says something like how can someone love you if you stay like this. Can’t remember the exact line. There was no reaction to it but I found it a bit harsh. Dhara isn’t wrong that Shiva should take care of himself (it’s a way to showing respect to ones partner as well) but I didn’t like how she said it. I do hope that Gaumbi sits down with him one day and just hears him out. I think everyone has a very Shiva is Shiva attitude around him which is a bit unfair.

Precisely!

That was the point of my post.

What Shiva did was questionable yes.

My issue was dhara's treatment of Shiva.

Nobody even acknowledges how much he had to suffer for other's mistakes.
