Yes, I feel the same.
It's like Shiva said jokingly that they take advantage of his unconditional love for them, but here I think it was too much.
The first time I hated it was during bus scene. Shiva has every right to be angry and it seems Gaumbi understands him. So why didn't they talk to him about how he feels. Neither Dhara nor Gaumbi still has talked to him about how he feels. All of their conversations have been about what he has to do and how his life with Raavi will be. But he never had an opportunity to discuss what he feels about everything that happened. His life took a u-turn too. And then when he vents out in frustration, Dhara openly threatens him that she'll hit him with Belan if he doesn't hug it out and it's not a way to behave with older brother. Heck she even goes on to tell him we are family so if one makes mistakes, the other has to happily face the burnt. So why does this rule apply only for Shiva? Why not Dev? Sure Shiva played prank, so by her logic and bandaid mentality, why can't she tell others to suck it up like she told Shiva? Shiva probably won't do it again. But instead she goes on her crying spree with with Dandas. Her character lately has been so inconsistent. The other day, she didn't want to playfully slap him front of his wife, but today she wants to beat him up like a younger child front of the whole family?! Gosh he's a married man. Treat him like you did with Dev. Why don't you understand him like you did with Rishita and sit and talk to him like you did with Dev. But here, it feels because Shiva loves and respects her so much, he's been taken a granted for. Hope Suman puts things in perspective for her and speaks up in Shiva's defense.
Exactly!
Why the discrimination?
Why does Dev gets away scott free for leading a girl on and then deserting her to die at the alter?
She didn't berate him once for his stupidity.
And yet she was happy to bash her other son who btw gave everything up for her sake. 😔😭
I completely agree. I hated how dhara took advantage of his unconditional love and respect for her and beat him with a stick in front of his family, not to mention in front of his own mother. And people who already don't respect him. 😳
Yes his prank had undesirable consequences but it in no way justified this beating and ruination of his self respect. If dev and rishita got a nice, decent explanation from gautam then why not Shiva? He is being taken for granted for sure. I really hope suman gives it nicely to dhara for this action of hers. She is wrong here. She can't just beat someone and cry it out later.
Her beating krish is equally wrong as beating Shiva 🤢

To be honest, I haven't been on the forum in such a long time, so I don't know the pulse of reactions... but all I can say is that I was very angry/upset when I saw the pressure cooker promo. Despite loving Shiva, I do think he needed to "reflect" about his prank. Unlike Krish who never saw the brunt of Rishita's reaction during the initial prank, Shiva did. Yet, he knowingly wanted to scare her more... so yes, he deserves some type of punishment... but definitely not in the form of a beating in front of the entire family. He and Krish are grown men, and by beating them, they are probably going to become even more recluse and hidden with their feelings. Shiva already is showing every sign of not telling Dhara or Gaumbi of his true feelings, and even Krish seems to hide things (especially when considering Shiva knew about the cigarettes but Dhara never did).
Not to mention what Rishita and Raavi would think. Rishita already doesn't have the best of opinions on anyone in the family, and after knowing it was an entire prank plotted by Shiva and played out by Krish, I fear for how ridiculously angry/nasty she'll become in the future. Gaumbi's words might not even calm her or make her understand. And seeing Dhara beat those two will only reinforce her hatred/belittling nature for Shiva and Krish... and then Raavi... yikes... you really think Raavi will fall head over heels for a man who was beaten in front of the entire family? If anything, she might be reminded of everything yet again and be uncomfortable at the fact of marrying Shiva
Maybe I'm way over my head, but hitting/beating is never the way to teach anyone (kid or adult) a lesson. If you're able to peacefully speak to Dev about your concerns, why can't you peacefully speak to Shiva and Krish? Tell them how it wasn't good to carry out their second prank, especially after knowing Rishita's initial reaction... Tell them if they really wanted Rishita to be nice, to just talk to Gaumbi and her and brainstorm ideas of doing something so Rishita respects them...
And god, Dev... it took him forever (I know it's only been 4-5 days in the show, but in the other versions, he apologized the same day of the marriage, so I'm not cutting him any slack here) to apologize. Seeing Dhara treat Shiva and Krish this way... it only reinforces the idea of, "I'm your older brother! I'm always right, and you're the younger one who's never grown up, so you have to be wrong"
IDK, I agree... she does seem to take his adoration for her granted. But maybe it's because she's never known a life without Shiva respecting her every decision, so she knows she can do whatever she wants, and Shiva will still respect her words....
No I agree. Shiva and Krish did wrong.
Scaring someone in order to make her fall in love with the family?
Well that's a dumb plan.
They definitely deserved some punishment.
But not this. Never this.
If anything, beating him like this is gonna cement Rishita's ill feelings towards Shiva and Krish.
I just feel Dhara needs to remember that this is the person who would happily give up his life to make her happy.
And that isn't something to be taken advantage of.
Dev did far worse to Raavi and yet I don't see Dhara beating him up.
Shiva played a prank.
Dev lead a girl on and then left her at the alter, leaving Shiva to pick up the pieces.
It breaks my heart when no body even acknowledges how much he had to sacrifice to clean up someone else's mess 😭

I just want someone to knock some sense into Dhara.
Just because Shiva loves you, that doesn't give you the right to walk all over him.😭
I totally agree with you. Its always Shiva who has to show understanding. Only he has to adjust as per everyone's wishes.!
But why always him?
Everyone has the freedom to live their life by their own choices. How much are they going to pressurise and suffocate him in the name of love for family? I mean everything has a limit. Dev and rishita's all big mistakes are forgiven but he has to suffer for even small mistakes. So much injustice being shown. No one can tolerate so much of madness. Eventually a person has to vent out somehow. I really feel sad for Shiva as no one loves him unconditionally.
Sorry for the ranting. I did not mean to offend anyone. Its just my perspective about the show. 😊😳

@bold: that breaks my heart the most! No one cares for his sacrifices.. not even the people he worships 💔

I wish he would.
Those two need to stick together.❤️
Poor li'l beans😔
Shiva has given her this right so probably won't say a word against her. But yes his love is being taken for granted. Considering the fact that he's just married someone at Dhara's saying without even questioning, considering the fact that he can't ever see Dhara being badly thought of, you'd think she'd have a little patience with him and reprimand him in a non-physical way.Originally posted by: barbieflora
I saw the pressure cooker promo and understandably we all are pretty upset about it.
If I'm being honest I've been on tender hooks ever since this Kesar track started.
I know Shiva means well but the whole idea of pranking Rishita was a recipe for disaster.
I am digressing now so I should get to the topic at hand.
I feel Dhara takes Shiva for granted.
Now hear me out before sending a shower of shoes my way.
Shiva loves his family. Most importantly he loves his Dhara bhabhi.
And rightly so. She did raise the kids.
But I do not agree with how Dhara takes that unwavering love as an excuse for pretty much lashing out her frustrations at Shiva.
He loves and respects you. Worships you like God. How about you give him the same love and respect in return?
I just feel that Shiva shouldn't have to suffer for his unconditional unwavering love for his Bhabhi.
I just feel he shouldn't be taken for granted.
Again, apologies for the long rant. If I offended anyone, I apologize. It was unintentionally done. 😊❤️
I hope they dramatised the promo, and when we see it all we're fairly surprised (I'm holding onto that 1% hope).
