Forget slap, she agreed for that spit scene and the MR. All this really made me question her moral compass and how progressive she is as a person. She made a career out of playing women that has been victim of abuse and patriarchy and misogyny. Dramas that's supposed to teach the society that all these is wrong. How did she thunk it was fine to be part of a drama where the so called hero slaps the heroine, the heroine slaps and spits on the hero only to end up getting r@ped by him. The amount of regressive content in TB is beyond count.

There is a difference between being part of a commerical project and a regressive content. All the ramdhan dramas are commercial dramas but not regressive and problematic.

I believe most actors are interested in the paycheck.

Nobody really cares what's the moral stance and they just perform, they don't have to educate the audience. I used to actually think they were quite well-grounded artists. Still, I didn't expect their ivs for promoting the shows to be full of delusions. I expected it from the cuckoo writer but not them. My bad for my minimum expectations 🤪

But still, I saw a clip that Mawra tried to slightly change the plot of the show she was working on. It also depends on producers and channels as well.

Farhan also refused to slap onscreen in MH. According to the script humza was supposed to slap hala twice and he had a little anger management issue. Farhan also never tried to justify arsal as a character. He always says arsal is badtameez and he will never speak like that to urwa. Arsal wasn't even half as problematic as murtu or all of danish and feroze's toxic characters and he still didn't try to justify arsal.

Sajal who was in her early 20s and wasn't as big as she is now stood against the happy ending of gul e rana and the director was forced to change the ending.

Mawra made sure the MR won't be swept under the rug and they had to stop the shooting for it and changed the story a little.

what about yumna? It's repeatedly said by the director that they shot all the intimate scenes with respect to yumna's boundaries as an actor. How does she has no problem with all this slaps, spitting, MR etc if she is so uncomfortable with doing intimate scenes? Does she have the same mindset as Pemra? 🤣 sleep on all the toxic stuff but awaken when there is little intimacy🤣
