I mean, if you want to go the 'western' route do it with style. For example:

Re. Alizeh, I do worry that she's either already struggling with some mental health issues (based on some of her instagram posts), or if she's not the insane hate-filled vitriol directed towards her will lead her towards a mental break-down.

Given how public is reacting towards Alizeh and Hania... How on Earth did Mahira khan redeem herself from the "smoking in skimpy dress with Ranbir in NYC" scandal? Good PR agency i suppose.

Also, the fellow actors and actresses calling out women for their outfits in the award function is so pathetic. If you do not like western dresses, then YOU don't wear it. Don't go about preaching other celebs on what is appropriate and what is not.

Oh the irony than hum style awards had such terrible fashion moments. Not one standout outfit, what a shame! And it should be the stylists and fashion designers who need to get called out more than the celebs themselves. Only takeaway from the show was Sonya Hussain's make up. She couldn't carry that look or outfit for even 1% but her make up artist did a good job on the face.

I think a lot of celebrities called out the designers or voiced their opinion on questionable tastes. The ones who had a problem with western dresses would come across as major hypocrites. I know Mishi Khan called out the designers for the type of dresses they put actresses in. Some looks are only suitable for photoshoots in real they look frumpy.

Lol I said the same thing in my post on the previous page about it being such an irony that it was the Hum Style Awards yet no one had any style. I don't care how anyone dresses but a bad outfit is a bad outfit regardless of how much or how little cloth. Most had bad makeup too along with styling.

I think u r being very kind by just calling those bad outfits. Those were downright Pathetic! How come none of them said No to those horrendous costumes during trials. I would have been like bahut shukriya, yeh dress aap hi rakhle. Main galli ke dukaan se suit ya lehenga khareed ke pehen lungi. I may not be the most stylish but kam se kam i won't be the silliest one.

Lol oh no I already called the outfits terrible in my first post. I honestly think that these people thought these outfits were "cool," "stylish," and of course most important attention grabbing. Now why they didn't say anything when they were so ill-fitting and not working for them is beyond me.

I found that the women who went for safer choices were better off (like Urwa, Alina Shahid, and Maya). They were boring but I wouldn't fault the outfits, although the styling was at times off. Best dressed would probably be Nadia Hussein and Momal Sheikh.

Yeah you could definitely find much nicer and better fitting outfits at small stores. These people were trying to make this the Pakistani MET Gala but fell flat on their butts and only looked like desperate wannabes. I bet they were all making fun of each other behind their backs.

When Faizan Sheikh and Bilal Qureshi started talking abt HUM AWARDS, it irritated me. They had absolutely zero to do with topic. Bilal was just trying to please a conservative audience and plus he has a new drama coming but he should've kept his mouth shut.. what other people do is really none of his business.

At the very least, he at least stopped after 1 post. That nobody Faizan Sheikh kept barking about fashion, dance, everything when no one even cares about him or his shows.. it felt like a cheap publicity stunt.

And as for the dresses, yeah I agree no one really had much style. I think Maya Ali looked okay, and Urwa looked great. Alizeh just couldn't handle the dress well and same with Mashal, she looked terrible.

I felt Faizan's criticism of Alizeh's dance made sense. She really wasn't trying, neither did she put the work into it. It's unfair to people who like dancing and would put their all into a performance while Alizeh came across as lazy. It's problematic that only certain people are invited while others are left out. A lot of favouritism. I understand people criticizing the questionable style and subpar performances, I think it's fair but you have to be careful. I have no idea what he said after that though but if he said more then yeah he should've stopped after the first.

I am going to sound very old fashion but Pakistan is indeed an Islamic country and its common sense that such revealing clothes will not be appreciated ..and to people who claim let Allah be the judge ..well ofcourse only Allah can judge but Allah has also set out some rules for us muslims to follow.. and what they are doing/wearing is clearly against islam and they are not appologetic about it but instead label it as freedom where as there are kids who look upto these celebs and they have the responsibility of setting the right example for kids ..non muslims celebs have more common sense then these so called muslims celebs like Sunita Marshal

As for Hum awards..its not about wearing western clothes ... but all the styles were copied ..there was nothing original and all these girls came across as nothing more then wannabees

And Alizeh .. fame clearly got to her head ...there have been many cases when girls come into the field all covered up and as soon as they get fame they forget there roots ..she is one of them! Someone above tried comparing Alizeh and Hania with Mahira's situation ..but as far as i remember Mahira did not justify her actions but rather kept quite and her pictures were leaked she didnt post them to get attention..whereas the other two are only doing it to seek attention and then when trolled they take it one step further or play victim

Sunita Marshal is Christian and even though she is not Muslim she has spoken out about some celebrities wearing clothes that reveal too much which she takes issue with as it goes against the culture of Pakistan.

There have been so many in my own family who went from wearing mini skirts to becoming scarfies and others who have gone in the opposite direction. People change throughout their lives; some for the better some for the worse. It's not just these celebrities who change. Some succumb to the pressures, some don't. Each person is on their own journey.

At the end of the day, it is up to each individual person whether they want to follow Islam or not. There are many people around the world who are Muslims only by name and that's okay because we never know, there might be one thing about them that Allah loves and approves off. I have come across way too many supposedly good Muslims and modestly dressed or covered up Muslims who are hypocrites. I myself try to avoid judging people because I am not flawless. I am not perfect. I make so many mistakes and have done many things that aren't inline with religion. It's the same thing with those who call these celebrities out, how many of them are truly good Muslims?

I would have accepted the pathetic dressing of all these people if they actually looked good.. but it seemed like the memo was just to wear revealing clothes and not actually something that looks good😆 I mean that was one heck of event where majority was atrociously dressed

As for the opinion on dressing, every country has its own culture.. and when you go against that culture, majority is shocked and voices it out.. and I don't mean the internet trolls but the common public

Pakistan is after all a Muslim majority country.. even if everyone doesn't follow the religious teachings to the last letter.. there are some things many wouldn't consider uncceptable.. and one of them in Pakistan happens to be showing off your body to this extent

I understand the outfits and styling were terrible, i also understand the western outfits part but i do not understand what was or who was wearing "revealing" clothes? I thought all of them were modestly dressed for celebrities at an event (those were not everyday looks for regular people anyways. Are bare hands what you term as revealing? There were no low cut necks, short length, backless, high slits or cleavage as far as i remember.
