What's with Alizeh Shah?

To set the context, im not from Pakistan. Im not aware of the trends or news happening in Pakistan, neither am. I familiar with the social media influencers or news makers.

Last month, i saw Hania Amir getting a lot of flak. Guess her episode was related to her ex amd her breakup story. Still don't knw the details though.

This time it seems to be Alizeh. Why is she being subjected to all this online hate? For Her hairstyle?? I have only seen her workin ehd-e-wafa and thought she was as expressionless as a doll. Then i saw her some interviews and there too she was emotionless and expressionless.

I am your friend awida. I failed to log in with my old id, so made this new one.😃

First. Hania used to post videos which show her enjoying with her friends, the latest one when she hugged her ill male friend while resting on bed. Ppl found it inappropriate, so they bashed her. Asim posted something which Hania felt targetting herself.. so accused him of cyber bullying. He defended himself..and industry divided between them..with public favoring Asim.😆

Now Alizey is behaving like Hania, first her relationshib with coacter, they posted pics, then seberated.. she cut her hair, debuted as a singer, wore western dresses which showed her bare hands. You know she has that image of a cute girl..now she lost it. I myself think that she should've enjoyed her teenage years being the same innocent girl in front of ppl, insteed of trying hard to look hot and sexy.🤔

Seems like youngsters invite more trolling n bullying online than senior actresses. HUM Style awards were disappointment throughout due to such bad outfits & fashion choices but Alizeh has been appointed as the face of the disaster by all online channels. Whereas she was the prettiest amongst the rest who attended in such gaudy outfits.

I'm not from Pakistan either, however I think the issue is that Pakistan is a very conservative country and the way Alizeh dresses and presents herself doesn't gel with that.

It's not the hair, plenty of actresses have had short hair before her (Marina Khan did way back in the 80s).

Idk I thought the dress didn’t fit her in the sense that it doesn’t suit her. She is too young for it. It would have suited an older person more. But who am I to tell her anything. It’s her life she can do whatever she wants n wear whatever she wants.

Also more youngsters deal with such stuff is because younger generation tries to be more western than the previous. Also older people already have experience of wat works n wat doesn’t.

People love judging others under the pretext of religion, culture and what not.

I don't like Alizeh but the girl seriously needs to get a break from the crazy hate. People keep targeting her and abusing her online and it's very disturbing considering how young she is and how it must be affecting her. People seriously made it a huge deal when she wore a tank top, whilst other popular actresses (Sajal, Maya, Mahira) have worn similar or even more revealing clothing.

Pakistanis seem to struggle separating a character from the actor, so everyone wants to project a "innocent and naïve" personality onto her when she is not that kind of person.

I am not on SM and neither am I from Pakistan so I usually don't delve into these things or know much about them. I did check out the Hum Style outfits so came across some comments. I assume people have a problem with the abrupt changes celebrities go through after getting fame and money. On top of that, the desperation for attention - doesn't matter what kind. Some have an issue with how they dress I guess. With Alizeh I think it's all these things combined plus her laziness when it comes to performing and lack of interest in improving. I read that actor Faizan Sheikh had an issue with her performance being so half assed and wondered why she got to perform when there are other better dancers who would work hard. This one I can understand because her performance really was bad. If she showed enthusiasm and really tried then no one would care and her dancing skills wouldn't matter.

All the outfits were terrible including Alizeh's. Her dress was very ill fitting and badly made. That bodice was too short and that skirt part too high. Made her look very stubby. Basically, bad outfit and style choices all around. The irony of it all.

I agree about the outfits at the Hum Awards being atrocious. Not because they were 'revealing' but because they were just straight-up ugly. Lol. I think in Pakistan the actors/actresses get too wrapped up in emulating Hollywood and Bollywood that they lose sense of what actually looks good.

I mean, if you want to go the 'western' route do it with style. For example:

Re. Alizeh, I do worry that she's either already struggling with some mental health issues (based on some of her instagram posts), or if she's not the insane hate-filled vitriol directed towards her will lead her towards a mental break-down.

Exactly, it is not lile someone wore a sleevless for the first time in pakistan. In the very same event, Maya Ali was wearing a dress with one hand covered and other bare. Also, the fellow actors and actresses calling out women for their outfits in the award function is so pathetic. If you do not like western dresses, then YOU don't wear it. Don't go about preaching other celebs on what is appropriate and what is not.

Oh the irony than hum style awards had such terrible fashion moments. Not one standout outfit, what a shame! And it should be the stylists and fashion designers who need to get called out more than the celebs themselves. Only takeaway from the show was Sonya Hussain's make up. She couldn't carry that look or outfit for even 1% but her make up artist did a good job on the face.
