Hee hee hee, very funny 😆

Illa, avlo mosam illa hospital pora alavukku, it was pretty good 😃

Got worried Jenim. Thot I have poisoned you from a distance with my scrambled advice. 😉

Btw, it is okay if you want to use can of coconut milk. Sometimes, at home, it I don't have any kind of coconut milk, wheter fresh or boxed, I use a little bit of evaporated milk, for thickening the curry.

For the kolumbu, it is the masala powder that gives the karaam for the kolumbu. Jenim don't hesitate to ask. My recipe is scrambled anyway. 😆

You cannot see the picture or cannot see the ridge gourd pieces? Little light green pieces athu thaan peerkangkaai.

I saw page 17 but this picture did not appear. Your msg was blank. Anyway it is alright not a big deal. Besides, peerkangkaai is something I really hate, and vendikai and podulangkai and sorakai and couple other squashy veggies. 😃

What other vegetable I can use for this recipe.

Caryn - Thanks for clarifying my questions.

I do hope one day I will grow up to be a good cook in the likes of Kavitha, Caryn & Pat. 😊 And be able to post recipes, pictures et al.

Pat, the crumbled tofu recipe will be the most apt one for me to try I believe, because of the nature of tofu that I get here. I don't have to try hard to crumble it - it will just happen by itself. 😉
Thank you for the recipe.

Kavitha, Pat - your description of what dishes you would make for New year's is getting me all jealous. Hopefully, I can atleast make Pongal, if not anything else. Or take the tip from Caryn and have the whole family make a trip to the temple for yummy prasadam.

Atina - your sugar cookies look good. Will have to try it some day.

I read that Atina wants to move this thread to a section called 'Khana Khazana'. I really wish that wouldn't happen! 😕

I just visit the tamil forum and nothing else in the India forums. I think most of us just stick to the tamil forum only.
It would be a stretch to find the KK section and go look for the tamil section recipes there. It's so convenient to have it here, especially since most dishes discussed here are those prepared in the homes of tamils. Why don't we just leave this thread here for the benefit of tamil readers?

Does any one agree with me?
Should we have a poll to see how many of us would like this section to continue in the tamil forum?

Well anyway, it would be my loss (and yours too) if this section is moved else where. I was so thrilled when Kavitha started this thread, but now I think it's so short-lived.

OMG......this is too much...Jenim and Caryn....it is not atina who wants to move this thread.

Jenim for your kind information, I got this topic approved to be here and I sent Pm to a few of the buddies including Kavitha....and thus this topic was opened.....It is very sad that this is turning out to be ugly like this.

Sometimes they move topics if it is not relevant to the section.

for example some one moved this link from Hindi section to here......please see this.

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/popular-tamil-tv-shows/518609/watch-aparichit-today

Soon This topic recipe is going to be made as a sticky one here so that it will stay here in the first page itself.....

Thanks buddies for your support.
