Adadadadadada....

Oru Rendu naal office-la romba busy. Vandhu partha jet speedla 20 pages vandhutteenga !!!!!
I have so much to catch up now with your recipes my dear friends. Looking forward to it.

First update for Caryn: 😊
Your tofu kozhambu recipe came out quite good, Caryn. Thank you! I liked it very much.
Only if you'd seen the kozhambu, you would have been shocked that it is your recipe, b'cos of the tofu sodhappals. But it tasted very good.

Vera vazhi illama I had to make 2 variations:
I didn't get shallots in the Indian store, so managed with just onions. I didn't have the (fish) masala curry powder - so substituted it with garam Masala powder. I wish I make it again with the right ingredients.

Same sodhappal again with the box of tofu. I tried as gently as I could to drain the extra water from the tofu block, but it broke down slightly as I was draining. Then again, when I was frying it (not deep fry) slightly in oil, it broke down to really small pieces. And this was Firm tofu that I got from the American super market (ran out of Extra firm kind). May be, next time I'll get it from a Chinese store and it won't disappoint me like this.
Because of this, the kozhambu was full of tiny tofu pieces. I would've really liked to make the kozhambu the way you have it in your recipe. Well, there's always a next time.

Oh.. one more thing. I used a can of coconut milk - I didn't know if your recipe requires fresh coconut milk. I can't get that here.
Also one more Q (sorry for asking too many questions, Caryn) - Should the kaaram for the kozhambu come mostly out of Green/Red chillies or the masala powder? Just so I will know how to adjust the proportions of each.
ThanQ!

Thanks for the sugar cookie recipe Atina. Maybe I will try this, as it's a pure veggie. My mummy will get shocked if I do that, hahaha. 😆

Kavi, your puli satham looks very good and yummy. I am going to force my mum to make that 😉

I will be happy for any recipes posted. I can cook but to take pictures and post it - sorry kannungala - i not that computer savvy!

Pat

Not the Ayappan temple (I thought it was anjanyar temple, although I have not been to it). It is the temple near Setapak Police Station. It used to be in main road before sandwiched between two huge trees, but now because the road is expanded this temple has moved inside (behind the building)

Pat I went to Air Panas Girls School (Hot Spring Girls School - better known as APGS - All Pretty Girls School 😃😃) romba neringkatum. 😃
