Redemption 117

Everyone and Everything has a purpose and a destiny that has been laid down by its creation and its creator.Hydrogen and Oxygen are volatile elements and yet they become water when they come together and are used to douse the very fires they create.There is no single God or a superior being who is sitting and watching over our every move and taking down notes on whether your action was good or bad and how best to reward you or punish you.

Something older,deeper and a unique power guides and watches over all life here and all over the known cosmos.When everything is broken down to its basic elements,we see that all matter,animate and inanimate are just elements which come together and become what we find in this universe.

There is a code,a secret and yet unknown code that is all around us that we humans call Karma.

Karma is not an inviolate engine of cosmic punishment. Rather, it is a neutral sequence of acts, results, and consequences.Receiving misfortune does not necessarily indicate that one has committed evil. But it is a sufficient indicator of something else.And that something else can be anything, as long as it is a logical consequence of what has come before.

Consider: if you fall into a well, you are not a bad person who deserves to suffer"you are merely someone who took a wrong step. Or someone who had one drink too many. Or got a head rush due to poor circulation. Or forgot to wear your glasses. Or"

The reasons are plentiful, and all plausible. But the chain of cause and effect goes way, way back into the deepest hoariest recesses of your personal past.

7.05 p.m

Selvam's ear piece crackled and one of his men in hiding whispered " sir,the door is opening and rudran is coming out carrying a small suitcase.The woman is coming out and there is a strange looking animal,i am not sure if it is a dog,cat or a lion but that too is getting into the back of the black BMW.What do you want us to do?"

He had played this game long enough to know that every assignment threw up its own unique set of problems and also equally opportunities and had learnt to prepare for any and all eventualities.Although he would have preferred to get this done and be on his way,he knew that this particular assignment was not going to be easy and was going to be different.

Selvam had not expected rudran to be going out at this time and had planned for his spending the night with his woman and their subsequent attack on him.But his irritation lasted for just a fleeting second and then " two of you take the motorcycles and follow them and report back to me.The rest of us will wait here and see how the situation develops.Stay calm and no one makes a move without my clearing it.Understood."

Selvam had prepared well and had placed his men in layer after layer and yet they all were just minutes away ready to assemble and congregate in the required place when the time arose.Not to arouse his targets suspicion,he had placed his men in twos in various places around the area and the men with motorcycles were on the main road near a tea stall,chatting casually and yet always watching and waiting.They got ready and waited for their prey to arrive.

7.07 p.m

Buddha lifted his head and growled and rudran immediately went on full alert mode and his sharp eyes scanned the entire area but couldn't find anything suspicious.He told renuka that he would drive the car to the airport and taking the wheel,drove away towards the airport.

7.08 p.m

The two lay hidden,calm and collected and waited for the right moment when they could strike.They were masters at waiting and their training was such that when they moved it was to kill.Not for them,talk and walk but swift action and yet even they recognised rudran for what he was.A tingle went up their spines for they knew danger when they saw it and rudran was danger on two legs and death with two hands.

The two master assassins watched as rudran drove away and also watched the moves of the rest of the killers who lay in wait for the command to attack.

7.45 p.m

Despite rudran telling her to drop him at the terminal,renuka drove and parked the car in the premium car parking lot.

" Renu,now you need to pay 150 rs for just the extra few minutes.You could have dropped me at the terminal entrance and left instead."

His words were cut short by her fingers which shut his mouth and renu looked at him " i could have saved 150 rs yes but then these next few minutes are worth much more than that for me."

Saying this she leaned over and pulling his head,kissed him deeply and for a long time.They stayed with their mouths,lips locked with each other and then Rudran pulled back and nodded " yes,you are right.any kiss of yours is worth more than 150 rs."

Then rudran turned back and looked at Buddha " look after yourself and please look after her too.i will be back soon.Okay."

The usually quiet Buddha suddenly whined and then howled for a few seconds and Rudran looked at renuka " that is strange for i have never heard him do that before.Wonder what he is trying to say.I sometimes think i can understand his mind but other times,it is as if he is deliberately blocking me out from his thoughts.I had the same feeling earlier in the day when we had gone to see mother and i am still not sure what to make out of it."

7.50 p.m

Rudran watched as renuka's car sped away and even though he felt bad leaving her even if it meant a break of two or more days,he was happy that Buddha was with her for he knew she was safe and protected.Rudran picked up his small suitcase and was about to move forwards when a white lexus sped past him,nearly touching him and parked at the far end of the parking lot where it was slightly dark.

If he had been an average joe,rudran would have sent a few exotic curses towards the vehicle and the driver and would have gone his way but then he was a police officer and his first instinct was that the driver might be drunk and not aware that he nearly ran a person down.Rudran thought he would advise the driver and be on his way before the check in counter closed and walked quickly towards the white lexus.

Even from a few feet away,rudran could hear the loud voices and screamings coming from inside the car which had dark windows shrouding it from the outside world and outsiders eyes.His instincts and anger roused,rudran knocked on the window of the drivers side and it opened with a quiet hiss.

A young,good looking guy and also very drunk stared angrily at rudran " what.what is your f**king problem.?"

Rudran looked at the man who must have been a few years younger than him " you nearly ran over me.So please drive carefully and reach home safely."

The young man's face changed from anger to irritation " hey asshole.Who do you think you are and who do you think you are talking to? Don't tell me how to drive and why don't you walk where you pedestrians are supposed to walk,rather than stand in the middle of the parking lot."

Rudran smiled and contrary to his nature,bent down and looked into the car and saw a young woman sitting in the passengers side and took in her red bruised cheeks and also a swelling near her left eye.He recognised the nature of the wounds and knew she had been physically abused.

Rudran looked at her and very gently " ma'am,are you all right.Are you hurt and do you require medical assistance or protection?"

The young woman shook her head indicating to him that she was okay.

But the driver started abusing rudran " hey a...e,who the f..k do you think you are talking to? Do you know who i am?"

Rudran calmly looked at him and then in lightning speed grabbed the keys and stepped back " i am sorry but who are you?"

The young driver totally enraged stumbled out of the car and charged towards rudran who just stood his ground and then in the last minute gave him a slap that echoed around the car parking lot.Rudran then bent down and taking the wallet from the man's shirt,took out his licence and using his mobile took a photo and then took a photo of the mans face and the car and its registration number.

The young woman ran out of the car and pleaded with rudran and requested him not to hurt him anymore.Rudran calmed her down and told her that he was not going to hurt the young man and using his right arm pulled the man up to his feet and stared into his eyes.

" I am not from chennai so forgive me for not knowing who you are.But take this as a warning for if you abuse the lady again,i will come back and slap you silly and i will do that before everybody.Do you understand what i am saying?"

Rudran let him go and then gave the keys to the lady " ma'am,i think it is better that you drive for he is too drunk to walk,let alone drive."

She looked at him with fear and tears in her eyes " i am catching a flight to mumbai so i cannot drive and have to get going or i will miss my flight."

Saying that she opened the back door of the car and taking out two pieces of luggage walked away towards the terminal.

Rudran looked at the keys to the lexus and at the young man and then suddenly threw the keys into the darkness and facing him " by the time you go search for the keys and come back to your car,i am sure you would have sobered up and come to your senses ."

The young man stared daggers and cursed rudran with words that would have found it difficult to find a place even in the devil's dictionary.

7.55 pm

One of the two motorcyclists followed renuka and reported to selvam that she had dropped rudran at the airport and was returning home and was told to keep following and wait for further instructions.

8.00 P.M

Rudran's stopped at the Indigo airlines counter to get a printout and saw the woman from the car pleading with the staff member who was trying to tell her that it was too late to check in.

Rudran feeling sad for her,tapped on the glass and the indigo lady in a indigo colored suit smiled " geed evening,can i have your PNR No."

Rudran " ma'am,i know you are doing your duty but this lady had a small accident in the parking lot and that is why she couldn't make it before the counter closed for her flight.I saw the whole thing happen and tried to help her for she was a bit groggy and had to sit for a few minutes to get her senses back.So please,understand her situation and let her catch her flight."

The counter staff member did not not know what to do and turned to her senior staff,a middle aged man who politely asked her what the problem was.After listening to what she had to say he looked at the young woman who rudran had helped " sorry ma'am,but rules are rules and there is nothing i can do to help.you missed your checkin by nearly ten minutes,so i am sorry but it is your fault."

Rudran reached into his shirt pocket and took out his Police Id and flashed it to the senior indigo staff member " I am requesting you as a police officer who saw this woman trip,fall and hurt herself.Please do this for me as a favor."

The man looked at Rudran and sighing picked up the phone " hold the boarding for a few minutes for we have one last passenger."

Then he quickly printed out a entry pass and handed it over to the young woman who thanked him and then looked at rudran " I am Neelam.Thank you very much for everything.I hope we meet again someday."

Bending down gracefully,neelam picked up her luggage and hesitating briefly,stood on her toes and placed a soft kiss on rudran's left cheek and quickly walked away.

But Rudran's eyes had caught the movement,a flicker and he gazed at the man's eyes and knew immediately that he had been followed.If he had been followed,then it meant that there were people watching him and it also meant people were watching renuka.

Rudran's mind blazed at the speed of light and his instinct told him that danger,real danger was here,right now and he had to warn her to get to her place as fast as possible or at least go to the nearest police station

Renuka was just passing guindy,when she thought she would talk to rudran and searched for her mobile in her handbag and in the seat next to her and then remembered that she had left the phone in his bedroom,near the lampshade.

Renuka looked at buddha " Okay,back home again.Can you imagine what and how he will react if i don't answer his call.Now,we don't want that,do we?"

She stepped on the pedal and the engine responded and shot forward like a bullet.

Rudran's mind was gripped with fear and worry and wondered why renu was not answering his call.His mind ran through various scenarios and closing his eyes he slowed down and then like a lightning bolt,his memory showed him her phone near the lampshade.He knew where she was going and he knew that she was going into danger and even if buddha was there by her side to warn and protect her,there was just no guarantee of anything.

He knew he had been followed and they would be watching and waiting in case he came out without boarding the flight.Rudran quickly made a few calls and minutes later,a senior airport security officer rushed to his side and saluted him.Rudran told him his requirements and rushed off with him.

8.15 PM

The remaining motorcyclist stood in the shadows and then in irritation called selvam and told him that rudran had checked in and was about to board the flight and if there was any need for him to hang around doing nothing.

Selvam instructed him to wait and watch until rudran's flight had taken off to delhi and then return back to the house where they were staying.

The man placed his mobile back in his shirt pocket and hearing a slight rustling noise behind him reached quickly for his handgun.But it was too late for the arm that coiled around his neck felt like steel coils and he passed out after struggling for a futile seconds .Rudran signalled to some of the commandos who stood in hiding and asked them to take him away and wait for further instructions.He gave them the handgun which the man had been carrying but quietly hid the mobile which belonged to him.The handgun was more than enough for the airport security to detain and charge the man and it meant good publicity for their team.

rudran quickly made a call from his mobile and after entering the encryption code,spoke urgently and gave them the last number which the man had spoken to and asked his team for the location of the receiver of the call.It took just a few minutes for his team in delhi to identify the number,the service provider and then with gps co-ordinates told rudran the exact address which left him shaking in fear and anger for the address was just down his road.

Rudran knew that renuka was heading home to pick up her mobile and little did she know that was heading straight into the arms of danger. rudran knew what his enemies were capable of and to what lengths they would go to hurt him and he knew for certain that they would use renu as a pawn in their fight against him.

Rudran got onto the motorcycle,a Bajaj Pulsar 220 that belonged to the man who had just been arrested and raced towards his home.He knew that buddha would protect renu even if it meant giving his life in defending her and that maybe that little time meant whether renu would live or die.

As he raced towards his house,rudran hoped and prayed that she would enter the safety of his house for that would buy him a little more time to reach her.

Rudran's face was fully covered by the dark visor of the helmet that belonged to the man who had followed him and yet little did he realise that green fire that simmered in his eyes and that also gave him vision that was better than his sight during daytime in bright light.

Buddha turned his head and stared back towards the direction from where they had come and his eyes flared in green to as his mind processed the fact that his master was waking up and soon would confront his true identity.Buddha turned back and facing the road ahead prepared himself to what was coming towards him.He knew and understood his purpose and that was all that mattered.He just hoped that she would not resist him as he pushed her towards the door for then he could take on the darkness and wait for the king to arrive.

The man following renuka called selvam " sir,she is not going to her place but has taken the road back towards you."

Selvam knew that this was the moment,the tiny bit of luck,an unexpected break that he had been waiting for.If he could grab her,then he could make rudran come to him and dance to his tune and he would meet him on his terms and in his playground.

selvam spoke " everybody listen and listen carefully.rudran is not in the picture but out target is now his woman.I want her alive and without a scratch on her.kill the dog and once the woman is in our custody we can leave and shift to our place outside chennai and then plan and let rudran come to us.understood.get ready."

Concealed in the darkness,the two assassins looked at each other and knew what had to be done.Both closed their eyes and quietly slipped away in opposite directions and they took positions and got ready to kill their target.

Redemption 118

Killers kill,heroes kill

death is the same to all those that they kill

the good die and the bad die

all that remains is how you lived and why you died

all that they will speak of and remember is what you stood for

millions,billions have come and gone

trillions too will come and go

long after you and me have turned

ashes to ashes and dust to dust

Chennai city cops have the fastest response time to a complaint and calls made to the number 100.Either two constables on a motorcycle or a city patrol team in a red innova will reach the destination from where you called and will be ready to help you and will be there in seven to eight minutes.If the station is nearer then the control room will usually direct constables from the station to attend the problem.

Selvam was perfectly aware of the response time of the city cops and was well prepared and also had taken all precautions and had planned their exits pretty well.The reason he had invaded,murdered and had camped in the house at the end of the street where rudran lived was because the house sat overlooking the adyar river which ran into the sea.But he had no plans to venture that far and had leased a motorboat that now lay anchored,fueled and ready with a man waiting to speed them away.His plan was simple and that was to cross the river to the nearby boat club area and then disperse in the vehicles that stood waiting for them.

The moment renu turned the car into the area of rudran's house,she felt his voice inside her head and she turned and looked at Buddha whose eyes were bright green in color.Renu knew that both of them were in danger and then nodded okay and stayed calm as she drove slowly and parked outside the house.

Then in unison both buddha and renuka exploded out of the car and ran towards the entrance.

Selvam and his men had not been expecting this and that few seconds was all that took for both renu and buddha to reach the house and hurriedly she started to punch in the code in the panel but the bullets from the killers arrived faster.

The first few bullets aimed at the panel arrived at speeds well over the sound barrier and smashed the panel to pieces.Buddha screamed in renu's mind to run and jump over into the maze of the foundations that had been dug in the next compound and then the two assassins entered the fight.

Dressed in black one carried renu effortlessly over his shoulder and with one leap scaled the compound wall and disappeared into the darkness.The other one went forward to meet selvam and his killers.

But selvam sent three of his men to take on the lone assassin and he and the rest of his team ran and jumped into the nearby compound and entered the maze where the mysterious figure carrying his prey had disappeared into.

The master assassin looked at Buddha and whispered " stay " and went forward to meet the three killers,drawing the sword that had been given to her after she had mastered all that had been taught to her.

Even though the figure was dressed in full black and the face was covered by a balaclava mask,selvams men knew from the shape and the way it moved that the enemy before them was a woman and that stumped them for a second.

She raised the sword before her and the street lights reflected and glittered dangerously as she stepped left,right and then took a stance that they knew meant attack and death.

But they were hardened killers,murderers who had been and seen many a violent death and they were not given to panic and retreat.They knew that it was kill or be killed and moved forward with their guns aimed at the woman in black.

She stood still and then whispered " In the name of holy light,in the name of Azhagan " and charged.

Time seemed to stand still for the killers saw her move faster than they could will their brains to command their arms and fingers to move and pull the trigger.She moved,danced,leaped and all three stood while their heads fell to the ground,bounced and rolled away.

Then rudran raced into his street and his motorcycle's headlights caught the figure in black as it disappeared into the darkness of the next compound.Rudran took just a brief moment and knew what had happened and with one leap jumped into the maze of the foundation.

The plot was nearly seven grounds and the skeleton of the previous constructions foundation was a crisscross of turns in the dark.

Seeing dead men,renuka missing and a mysterious person dressed in black disappearing into the darkness was all too much for Rudran whose anger now rose and exploded and the very thought that the woman he loved was in mortal danger was the final catalyst.

Rudran did not realise it but his heart was now beating four times faster than a normal person.He did not know that his eyes had turned green and his muscles were tightening and becoming stronger and harder than steel.He exploded into the maze with the clearest vision and saw everything but he was too late.

He came to a halt as he saw two dead men on the ground and another one being held by a person dressed in total black.But there were two of these people and one was holding,shielding renu behind his back.

The clouds cleared and gave way to the full moon and five of them stood watching each other.Then the one holding a tough but sophisticated looking gentleman,removed a set of plastic handcuffs and tied his captive's hands behind his back who suddenly looked resigned to his fate and defeat.

Renuka pushed the person who was holding her and ran and hugged rudran who stood glaring at both of them in anger and murderous rage.Buddha came and stood calmly next to rudran and then slowly padded towards both the people who were dressed in black and standing on his two hind legs,gave them both a soft nuzzle.

The two people slowly removed their balaclava masks and both rudran and renu saw that one was male and the other a female.

Then both removed their swords and falling to their knees,raised them towards rudran in a offering and looked at him with love and respect " Pakalon,Maasilan,Kathiravan,Meykandan,Koman,Nikaran.Our king,Please accept us,your loyal servants for we come in peace and we mean no harm."

Rudran eyes still glowed green,but his anger was slowly dying out and looking at both of them suspiciously " who are you and where do you come from."

The man spoke " my lord,i am Arul and this is my twin sister jothi.We come from the mountains of madurai and we come because our mother,our leader Malar sent us to watch over you and your family."

The boy who went into the dark and came back with light.

Rudran stepped back in irritation not knowing how to react to arul and jothi but told himself that now was not the time to give in to confusion and anger,not when they had a captive in their hands and neck deep in danger

Arul and jothi still on their knees looked at Rudran who " please stand up and for gods sake don't do that again and stop addressing me with ridiculous titles.Just call me rudran which is my name."

Jothi standing up but with a bent head " sorry my lord,but we would rather be dead than address you by your given birth name for that privilege lies only with our queen."

Arul bent his head humbly " my lord,these men came in a group of ten of which five are dead and one is here.There are four more out there and so i think it is better if we handle them right now before they spring any nasty surprise on us."

Before Rudran could even begin to say no,the twins arul and jothi vanished into the darkness.

Selvam who had been silent all this while,started laughing to himself,shaking his head in disbelief.

Rudran stepped closer to selvam and held his left shoulder and squeezed and selvam grimaced in pain.

" you find this funny mister.You will laugh now but soon you will be begging for a swift death."

Selvam looked at rudran " funny,yes i do find it funny that i am standing face to face with the other brother of the one who died.Yes,i find it funny that i am going to die in the same place where your little brother died all those years ago."

Rudran felt like somebody had shoved a sharp knife into his heart for his whole body went rigid in shock and then a terrible rage filled his soul and renuka watched in shock and astonishment as he lifted the man in one hand and held him dangling in the air.

Buddha whispered in rudran's mind " all the answers to your questions lie in just one word,one name.Rise out of what you are and rise to what you really are.Rise now my king."

Rudran heard buddha talking to him but he could make little sense of what had just been whispered for anger,cruel anger filled his soul and he stared into selvam's eyes who stared calmly back.

"Who,why.Why did my brother have to die.Did you kill him? "

Selvam whimpered in fear and pain and knew that the time had come to face his sins and wash the guilt that he had been bearing all these years.

" It was an accident.Murky and the rest of us did not have any other option for your brother saw what we were burying in this buildings foundation."

Rudran roared and his whole body filled with a strange green aura " Murky,that bas***d murky again.So he is behind the whole thing and has always been the monster who filled our lives with so much sorrow.But why kill bhairav,when you could have just run away and escaped."

Selvam looked at rudran sadly " me and my brother never had the chance for we have been in the service of our king for centuries."

Rudran roared in anger " what king ? who is this king that you all serve?"

" Rajadurai,the last king of the forgotten chola dynasty.We have been searching for you all these years and here you were.If only we had known then that the prophecy meant both you and bhairav,then we would have killed all of you that evening."

Rudran's mind raced,dissected,assembled the information that had just been given to himand everything clicked and fell into place.Rajadurai,commissioner rakesh menon,arul jothi the warrior,malar the queen and mother of the twins arul and jothi and the war between dark and light.

The coming of Buddha,the words of palam swamy,the sword that tingled with a green aura when he had touched it.

Arul and jothi having taken care of the rest of the killers of selvams team rushed to be by their kings side and found him holding selvam in the air effortlessly with one hand.

The shadow that covered rudran's mind vanished and he looked down at his body and saw the greenish aura that flowed from every pore of his skin.

Rudran stared deep into selvams eyes " I am rudran but i am also called Azhagan.Know this before you die that i will avenge my brother and by the time i am through,there will not be any survivors of the chola dynasty."

Selvam felt a blinding,excruciating pain fill his head and saw the flames leaping out of rudrans eyes as it leaped towards him and then he was dead,his head exploding in a burst of flame.

Rudran dropped the body and it fell to the ground with a dull thud.

Arul and jothi immediately fell to their knees for they knew their leader had risen and Redemption was at hand.

When at times you stop,think,wonder,ponder and sit back and go " no way,that's impossible" at the twists and turns of the tall tales i spin,firstly remember that stories are meant to be wild,a state where belief is suspended.But remember that what is wild and impossible will soon be possible and very real.

Take your android mobile and stare at it and realise that it has more processing power than the largest computers that filled floors of buildings back in the 70's and 80's.

But along with all that i give you companion pieces to go with the story that you are reading and that i am writing.

Believe the unbelievable

There is information,a whole lot of information that has been kept hidden from the public and this has been done so as to protect them from the ensuing chaos and uprisings that would result from too much knowledge and information that would surely destroy normal life and do nothing else to elevate the otherwise mundane and cliched life.Nearly 95 to 99 percent of the human population in this planet called earth have no idea how vast this cosmos is,this so called universe we live in.Even you,my dear readers who sit before your computers or reading my words on your laptop will simply not be able to comprehend the size and the ensuing possibilities of this mega universe.

But quietly and largely unknown to the general world,many organisations have been working on and towards the flight of man and life into the farther reaches of deep space.Just a 100 and a few more years ago,the famous wright brothers were called frauds when they declared that human flight was possible and soon machines would fly around the world carrying passengers from one end to another end.

I don't know what went on in Oliver and Wilbur's minds as they soared in their wooden planes to the astonishment of the people below watching the brothers fly around like brothers.But i can tell you how i felt when i was strapped in for my first ride in a flight.The trip was from chennai to Trivandrum in 1992 and my wife and my cousin sister even today remind me of the big smile plastered on my already goofy face.I was practically jumping up and down in the seat,pinching myself,not believing that i was in a plane,a jet plane and flying nearly 8kms over land.I died and went to heaven many a time in that short one hour flight.

Even after all these years,after having flown hundreds of times i pause before climbing into the belly of the plane and think back to the pioneers who made this possible.

But moving away from my thoughts,step into the flight mode as man and machine took to air on wood,aluminum,steel and iron.They launched from land and from ships on seas.Just a few years later,planes were used to shoot,bomb each other during the first world war.Needless to say by the time the second world war came around,two decades later,the concept of flight had changed and elevated to a higher and more sophisticated levels.By the end of the second world war,russian's and american's fought over the brains behind the nazi regime,the brilliant scientists and this led to the beginning of the cold war and the iron curtain.The chest beating communists and capitalists raced with each other towards the final frontier,space and freedom from earths gravity.Nuclear missiles and their ballistic launchers were thankfully turned into a space race and the russian's took the gold medal by first putting SPUTNIK,the very first satellite and then putting Yuri gagarin into orbit around the world.

But the american's went one step further and put men and machine on the surface of the Moon.Sadly the communist countries cut off from world trade and global economy started losing because they did not have the Dollar power and yet they quietly went about putting space stations into permanent orbit around earth and men and women spent years on board in outer space.

But secretly,shadow organisations in america and russia went about searching for extra terrestrial life,ALIENS.Much of what they know,discovered has been kept under highly classified documents and buried deep in vaults and is accessible only to certain people.

The rumor,legend,myth that Neil armstrong and Buzz aldrin the first men to walk on the moon saw strange lights and objects have been quashed,dismissed and waved off as figments of wild imaginations.But from the beginning strange lights,green men,alien abductions,mind control were terms thrown up and discussed heatedly and yet we the general public go on shrugging our shoulders and thinking " how does it matter to us and to our daily
lives."

Children of the light

Everything was happening so quickly that renuka didn't have the time and also the knowledge to process,digest and understand what she had just seen.But seeing arul and jothi,the children of malar made some sense to her for she now recollected and remembered every word from what rakesh had told them from last night.

Rudran looked at her and renu knew that though he appeared normal he looked vague and confused as if he was lost in a strange place.

" rudran,are you all right?". Rudran nodded " yes,i am ok but something just happened and although i have a vague clue about it,i am not totally sure and i have been through such situations before."

Renu gently held him in her arms " it is okay.we can talk about it later.But what do we do now ?"

Jothi looked at rudran " my lord,we will take care of it.But you need to leave right now for surely someone must have noticed the flashes and definitely noticed the bright lights that lit up this place.If you stay,then you will have to answer lot of unnecessary questions.Trust me,when i say that we can handle it for we have handled much worse than this and that too quite a few times.So please my lord,leave in the lady's car and we will keep you posted about what is happening."

Rudran feeling tired and drained nodded sadly and then looking at both of them " Thank you.Thank you very much for saving renukas life and mine.I am in your debt and i will never forget what you just did for me."

Both arul and jothi bowed humbly to rudran " my lord,you don't have to thank us for our lives and that of our clans are at your disposal.we were born into your service and have grown up training to fight by your side."

Rudran gently clasped jothi's hand " please don't call me lord or king.I don't know what or who you think i am but we will talk about it later or when i come to madurai in a few days.I have not had the pleasure of meeting your mother but please convey my respects and regards to her."

Arul and jothi stood watching rudran and renu walk away and arul was about to say something to his sister when he saw the look on her face and sighed deeply.

" jothi,wipe those thoughts out of your mind and remember who we are and who our lord is.If mother comes to know what just ran through your mind,she will pack you and your bags back to england and you will have to go back to whatever research you were doing for that petrochemical company."

Jothi remained silent " i knew it but not until he touched my hand did i feel the enormous energy that flows through him.It was scary and at the same time exhilarating and even though i am meeting him for the first time,i feel a bond with him and as if i have known him all my life."

Arul grabbed his sister by both her shoulders " sweetie,listen very carefully for we have very little time before we leave from this place.He is out of our realm and league and if you start to go down this path,then surely you know what your fate is.so please,come to your senses and lets get to work."

Jothi nodded and watched as arul pulled out a mobile that he had taken from one of the killers and dialled 100

" i heard screams and noises and maybe some gun shots.I have been noticing some suspicious looking people coming and going in the night and i think they are hiding in that big house down the road.i think there are a few dead bodies lying here and there.please come quickly."

Dropping the mobile,arul and jothi ran into the darkness and ironically used the boat that selvam had hidden behind the house where they had lain in wait.stripping of the clothes and shoving them into a small shoulder bag,they then placed their swords and weapons into a cricket bag and crossing the shore,pressed the car keys which they had taken from selvam.Yellow lights flashed at the end of the street and getting into the maruti swift,the twins drove off into the night.

Renuka remained silent for a few minutes and then asked rudran where they were going and he smiled " to your house and i hope your dad does not kick me out.I will drop you and buddha at your place and i am going to spend the night at the army base.It will be easier for me to get to the airport from there.I will leave instructions so that you can send one of your drivers and pick up the car tomorrow.Is that okay with you?"

" I am not worried about the car but my worry is about you and your health.I was there watching you and i know it sounds funny but i have no clue what just happened for it all seems like some vague dream or a nightmare from which i am going to wake up from."

Rudran glanced at her " please believe me when i say that i am as clueless as you are.I have no idea what they were talking about an yet i know something happened from inside but like i told you,i am not able to remember any of it and this has happened a few times before this.My army doctor tells me that it is some kind of blackout where i lose time and go into some kind of trance but no one has been able to tell me what exactly my problem is."

He suddenly remembered something " but i know one person who might be able to help explain what is happening to me.Sadly, he is far away and to try and to reach him will be a bit difficult for then i will have to explain a lot to my superior officers who are in the dark about my problem.If they even suspect that something is wrong with me or my head,then i will be immediately suspended from active duty and put under strict supervision and i will have to go through various painful tests and clearances before i get back to work and that is a big if."

Rudran brought the car to a halt outside renuka's house and remained silent watching the world outside.

" Renu,i am sorry that you had to see all that and i think i can understand how confusing it must be for you right now."

" forget confusing for that one word will not do justice to all that i witnessed and i have seen and heard enough over the past few weeks to last many a lifetime.I have so many questions but i also know that you are as confused as i am right now.But we will talk about it after you get back.Okay."

Rudran nodded " i wish i was normal,just a normal person living a normal life with a normal family.But from the beginning,things have been so damn confusing and twisted that i doubt if i will ever be a normal person like everyone else."

He gently touched renu's cheek " what i feel most bad about is that i keep putting you in harm's way and i am scared that our luck might just run out and something terrible might happen to you."

Renu leaned over and kissed his lips softly and they stayed for a long time like that " please,don't worry about me.It is going to be okay,just you wait and see.But if something should happen then i want you to know that i will die as the happiest woman in this world.What i have felt and known in these past few weeks is more than most will ever know in their whole life.But you are here,i am here and that is enough for me.It does not matter how far away you are from me for you will always be safe right here in my soul."

" Now go and come back soon and i promise that i will not leave the house until you walk through the door,okay."

Renu and buddha stood watching as rudran left and soon disappeared into the distance.

When I need you

Rudran thanked the corporal for showing him to his room and then gave him the keys to Renuka's BMW and told him to hand it over to col.vasant and inform him that he would call him the next day.Returning the salute,rudran tiredly closed the door behind him and leaned on it and the entire episode of the evening washed over him like waves on the beach.He slowly sank to his knees and closed his eyes and let the tears flow from his eyes.

The soft hands of his brother gently wiped them away and sat in front of him and looked at him with a smile.

Rudran knew and yet he was not sure if what he saw and felt was just an illusion.

Bhairav looked at him " rudy,illusion,dream or reality.Does it matter when all that really matters is that we are together again."

" You are right.All that matters is that i can sense you and that we are together.But now i know who was behind your death and i know who to go after.It is just that every time i think of what happened to you,it hurts terribly and i feel so guilty that it was you who was killed and not me.I only wish that both had died together for at least then we could have been together forever."

Bhairav looked at him with anger and accusing eyes " what about those children who are waiting for you in madurai.How many more will have to die before you rise from your quest for Redemption and freedom from guilt.Now is not the time for what you want but what others want.Now is the time to Rise,really rise from yourself and become who you really are.Rise and become wrath."

With those words.Bhairav slowly melted away and the darkness that seemed to fill him also went away with it.

Slowly getting to his feet,he picked up his mobile and logging on to yatra.com made a booking on an Air india flight that was leaving from chennai to delhi at 6.00 am in the morning.He knew that it would be good enough for the meeting in delhi with the home minister and defence minister was scheduled at 10.00 am and he could reach the headquarters by 9.00 am and that would give him enough time to be ready.

Removing his shoes,socks and then tossing his shirt away,rudran lay himself on the cot and placing his hands on his chest went into diagnosis mode.

It was nearly 1.00 am in the morning by the time he drifted away to sleep.But he had made his plans and knew very well what his next move was going to be.But delhi first and then madurai next.Fate and destiny had waited for him and they could wait a little longer.

Just as sleep took over him,he thought he saw bhairav standing near the window looking at something but rudran was so tired that he couldn't rouse himself to ask his brother what he was looking at and fell into a deep sleep.

Through the raging fires,the hundreds of young souls cried to him and he tried reaching out to touch their tender hands and then jumped back for all of them looked like bhairav. Rudran screamed and his body exploded into a a blaze of fire and he jumped across the fire,desperately trying to reach bhairav.The night went on and on.

Far away in the city,Renuka had trouble sleeping and then she felt a hot flush in her tummy and wondering what it was,hurriedly got up but went still as her tummy glowed a vague and dull green.

The boy who went into the dark and came back with light.

It was 4.30 am in the morning and rudran was just getting into an army jeep to be dropped off at the airport when renu called.

" what aren't you still asleep?"

" I just wanted to hear your voice for that is the only reality in my life after what i saw last night."

Rudran paused for he did not know what to say to her for he was just as confused about everything as she was.

" don't worry about it for i will handle it as soon as i get back.Now go back to sleep and i will call you later in the afternoon.one more thing,i might have to switch off my mobile when i am in the meeting for security purposes and there will also be jammers working so don't panic if you can't get through to me.All right.I will call you as soon as i have time.Bye for now."

There was a quiet pause between them " renu,i love you very much.I know things look a bit difficult and confusing right now but they will get better.They always get better.Bye."

Renuka put the mobile down and getting up from bed went towards the window where Buddha was sitting facing the east and bending down to ruffle his huge,shaggy head she too stood and watched as the sun rose casting gold all over its domain.

Renuka saw the darkness retreating before the rapidly advancing sunlight and then the golden rays reached over her compound and sprang into her through the window.The whole room was lit up as if it was blazing a raging fire and in the blinding light renuka thought she saw some forms move towards her.

Squinting her eyes,she focussed her eyes and saw a man coming towards her and next to him walked a huge lion.

Not believing what she was seeing,renuka stepped back and they were gone.The tingle she had felt in her stomach came back but this time it did not hurt but was more of a pleasant buzz in her belly and at that moment standing in the golden light of the morning sun,she knew she was carrying his child.

She immediately reached for her mobile to call rudran but then decided that she would wait and confirm before she told him.

Buddha gazed at her with pure love and knew in his heart what his new purpose was.Protect mother and child at all costs.

The noise of the twin jet engines rumbled from the clouds and renu looked up and wondered if it was the very plane that rudran was flying in and away from her and his child.

Suddenly the whole experience was too much for renuka and she slowly collapsed to the floor and tears of joy came along with tears of sorrow and fear and she felt lost and lonely.

Buddha sat in front of her and looked at her calmly and with immense love pouring from his eyes.

Then he whispered " rise renuka,rise now as a mother and with the light in your body,you are protected and nothing can harm you."

The words were like a gentle breeze,a soft,cold and tender drizzle and renuka threw her arms and hugged buddha.

Buddha whispered "It all looks confusing now but it has always been like this.But in the end it will all end for the good.This has been going on for much longer than you can even begin to imagine.But one day,you will understand everything and then you will realise the depth and the vastness of this life."

Arul answered the call and their mother and queen asked him to put the mobile on speakerphone,so that both of them could hear and talk to her.

" The lights in the forest have spoken.A new light has descended and there is now a new queen for me and all of you.She carries the light and from this moment on is your new responsibility.Protect her at all costs and even if it means your lives.Stay hidden and reveal yourselves to her only when it is needed.I love you both very much and i am looking forward to seeing you soon."

Most people think that New Delhi is Delhi but it is not. There is actually a difference between the two places: New Delhi and Delhi.New Delhi, which is India's capital, is a territory in Delhi. New Delhi is the seat of the government of India.Delhi is a Union Territory consists of 11 districts, and New Delhi is one of them.
Also, New Delhi is the capital of Delhi, as well as India.

Old Delhi was founded by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1639 and was known as Shahjahanabad. The area was considered to be one of the most posh areas of those times and was filled with beautiful houses and grand mansions. The main Shahjahanabad street was designed and built by Jahanara Begum Sahib, Shahjahan's favourite daughter.A canal ran through the road which reflected the moonlight with all its glory, and is today known as Chandni Chowk

New Delhi, on the other hand, epitomizes modernity and progress. It was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens under the British. With the help of the excellent metro rail and road network, New Delhi is just a stone's throw away from Old Delhi. Wide roads, sky-rocketing buildings, stunning infrastructures and great flyovers are some of the definite points which differentiate New Delhi from Old Delhi's narrow, unhygienic and congested by-lanes.
The huge variations between the lifestyles are also ever-present. Centrally air-conditioned shopping centres, pubs and restaurants are frequented by people in New Delhi. The Air india flight took 2 hrs and 35 minutes to reach new delhi and by the time he came out of the airport it was 9.00 and he switched his mobile on and the calls kept coming.

He told Major Param yadav,Sujinder khanna( RAW CHIEF),Gen.veer singh(ARMY INTELLIGENCE CHIEF) the same words " I have landed and on my way and i will be there on time."

All three of them sighed heavily and on a happy note " Thank god for you know that your brain is of more importance to us than your brawn.See you there."

But Major Param yadav was the only person to whom Rudran enquired the urgency of the situation and he replied that it was something to do with terrorism."

But pausing for a second Param yadav whispered " Rudran,Both the defence and the home minister are going to be here and that is not the end of the VIP list.The american ambassador is sitting in and i think the delhi CIA chief is going to attend to attend the meeting"

" WOW Param,something big must be going on for all the bigwigs to be assembling in one place.Anybody from the police department."

Major param " no,this looks like work for the intelligence department and as of now it is only on need to know basis.You are the only guy from the police department,but then your identity is a bit of a case of schizophrenia.But good to hear from you again and it looks like you had some action last night.Man,don't you ever rest for a day.The police in tamilnadu have kept everything under wraps and only our department knows how many were killed."

Rudran was about to reply when major param jumped in again " Rudran,seriously.They found a body whose head had exploded into a dozen pieces in the foundation next to your house.What was that and how did you manage to do that?"

Rudran lied and he knew he had to lie " Major,i was in the army base with my mother last night and i am not sure what you are talking about.This is news to me and what is with the exploding head? Come on,you know even i cannot do those things for i am not some wizard or magician.Knives and bullets yes but exploding heads."

Major param stayed silent " well,who ever is behind this has the entire police force of tamilnadu behind them.Good luck to them."

Rudran immediately called chennai police commissioner Rakesh menon " sir,it is me rudran."

" Rudran,are you okay.where are you for i need to talk to you about what happened last night?"

Rudran " sir,that was not me.I mean i killed just one of the men who were sent to kill me."

" you mean the head which looks like it has exploded and yet my forensic team have no clue as to how it exploded for there are no bomb fragments or evidence of any other means used.What the hell happened?"

" Arul Jothi"

Rakesh screamed " arul jothi.what are you saying?"

In the background rudran could hear rakesh's wife sharadha asking him if everything was okay and if he was all right.

A few seconds later " Rudran,i am sorry but did i hear right the name you just said."

Rudran " yes,you heard me right.But it is not the aruljothi you knew and who died that night in madurai.But his children Arul his son and Jothi his daughter and they were there last night and it was they who killed all of them but selvam whose head exploded."

Rudran quickly explained all that had happened last night but did not reveal how the twins had addressed him and how he had killed selvam.

" sir,i am in delhi for a very important meeting and i will be back in a couple of days and we will talk more in detail.But until then i am requesting you for two favors.one is immediately putting renu and her family under protection and the other is keeping last nights happenings under complete wraps for i want selvams brother Murky to be in the dark and i want him to be on a edge,anxious and scared and not knowing what is happening.If time permits,i will call you later in the day.Bye for now."

Rakesh sat still for a few minutes absorbing the bombshell that rudran had just delivered and then quickly called his secretary and asked her to arrange for a meeting with all the police chiefs in his office in an hour.

Placing the receiver down,rakesh smiled and his eyes filled with tears, tears of happiness as he thought " arul and malar have two children and they are here in my city.wow,if only i could meet them both and see for myself that great warriors children."

REDEMPTION New Delhi -124

The distance from Indira Gandhi airport to central secretariat is about 23 kms and if there is no traffic,then the distance can be covered in about 18 minutes.But nine a.m is peak traffic time in all cities,all over the world and Rudran knew that it would take some extremely skillful driving to get to the venue in time.

But then the vehicle waiting for him was from the Intelligence wing and it had blue flasher on its top and which was already flashing and sending signals all around.In India,Government vehicles come with Beacons in two colors,Red and Blue and they come with flashers and without flashers.

Vehicles with blue beacon flashers are used by the following government employees

Principal Secretary

Director General of Police / other police officers equivalent to DGP

District & Session Judge / other Judge equivalent to DJ

Divisional Commissioner

Inspector General of Police

Deputy I.G.P

Chief Judicial Magistrate & Other Judicial Officers

Rudran nodded as the driver saluted him and got in the front and strapped his seat belt on and they were off.Even with the blue flasher,it took 35 minutes to reach the central secretariat and Rudran got out at 9.40 am and putting on the blazer that he had been carrying in his single piece of luggage,thanked the driver and walked briskly towards the conference hall.

Major.Param called and informed him that the venue was the conference hall adjoining the defence ministers office and Rudran reached it at 9.55 am and found that his boss Gen.Veer singh was already there and he quickly too a seat behind him.

The conference hall was about 1500 feet in space and the interior was shaped in a U with a huge screen in center.There were three rows of seat and they numbered thirty and were arranged ten in a row.The center seats in the first row were empty,but the members who were going to fill it arrived in full flow.

The group that entered was led by the home minister,defence minister and the US ambassador along with the new delhi CIA station chief.There were a couple of other members who Rudran was not familiar with but knew that they were definitely from some shadow agency that worked along with the CIA and the NSA.

But the last member to enter sent Rudran into total alert mode for it was dr.Otto hauptmann from the Mossad.

Rudran knew immediately that whatever the situation was it was highly critical and volatile in nature and it meant imminent attack on India and its allies.He took a deep breath and his brain went into hyperactive mode and that meant everything else except the situation at hand took a back step and disappeared into the darkness of his memory.

Gen.Veer singh got up from his chair and took center stage and then with a calm look at everyone welcomed both the cabinet ministers,the us ambassador and the CIA station chief.

" Gentlemen,i am about to show you some photos that were taken by one of my men currently operating in the southeast Asian region.These photos were sent to us a few days back and were taken in a resort that is in Thailand.But circumstances led us to share this information with the CIA who are here now with their own take on the situation.We will come to as to why we are all here and then we will discuss and debate what needs to be done.But first carefully watch all the photos on the screen and wait for it to end before any questions or thoughts."

Gen.Veer singh stepped to the side and using a remote started the slide show and the pictures ran one by one and there were totally twenty of them and they glared,paused for a second and skipped on.

It was immediately obvious to everyone that the pictures were shot near the beach and although the first were a bit distant and blurry,they soon focused on two individuals seated facing a slightly large individual,dark skinned and with a shaved head.The photographer had shot this with a mobile phone and that too from a distance which kind of posed a problem for there is only so much a camera phone can do.Yet,from the photos,they could all make out that the two individuals were oriental by race and most probably were from Indonesia.

The person who they were speaking to could have been anybody from india,sri lanka or bangladesh and that is all they could gather from his skin color and then the slide show stopped.

Gen Veer singh looked at all of them " these pics are all we have and before we move on to what our american friends have to show us,if anybody has any thing to say,please come out with it."

Everyone stayed silent and then Rudran stood up and his boss Gen.veer singh nodded " yes,Rudran."

" sir,it is obvious from the photos that the person who has his back to us is an indian and that too from the state of tamilnadu and probably from around the district of Madurai."

Chairs ruffled and in unison everybody turned and looked at Rudran and the proud smiles on veer singh and sujinder khanna lit up as did the heart of his close friends major param who whispered " Go Rurdan go."

" The photos have been shot from a considerable distance hence the poor quality and maybe the reason is because the photographer did not want alert these three that he was shooting them.The two men facing the person of indian origin are Indonesians and that is all i can tell you right now.But maybe on closer inspection under better instruments,i could probably wean out more from these pics."

One of the men who had accompanied the CIA station chief with a look of total disbelief looked at Rudran " Could you possibly tell us how you came to the conclusion that the dark skinned individual is indian and that too from south india."

Rudran looked at Gen.veer singh who nodded " If all of you look closely,you can see the darkish smudge that is on the right upper back of the individual which is a Tattoo that has been tried to be hastily removed although this has been done quite some years back.In south india,we call Tattooing,Pachai kuttrathu.Although,the original tattoo has been removed or has been reworked to appear as a different design,if you look real closely,you can see that the tattoo was originally a leaping tiger and the reworked markings look like fishes."

As soon as Rudran said those words,a blinding light went off on his head and for a second he lost time and holding his head,he slowly sat back in his chair.

Gen Veer singh looked at all the others " Rudran has not been well and yet he has made quite an effort to be with us.So please excuse him and we will continue."

Major Param leaned over to Rudran " Rudy,are you all right."

Rudran nodded yes and bent down holding his head and the visions came.

It was a huge open plain and there stood thousands of men on horses and elephants and they all faced one tall individual who had his back turned to Rudran and next to him stood a massive lion.The sun blazed down on the battlefield and a gentle breeze lifted the man's long wild hair and also ruffled the thick black mane of the golden lion.

Loud trumpets and conches were blown and the huge army charged towards the lone warrior and Rudran saw the flags that the racing army were carrying and it held the emblem of a leaping tiger between two fishes.

It was the emblem of the mighty Chola empire at the height of their power and dominance all over south india.

Rudran watched as the lone warrior stood calmly and then suddenly he turned and looked back and Rudran saw his face and it was a face he knew so well for he had been seeing it in the mirror from the time he was a child.It was his own face.

Rudran breathed heavily and suddenly the headache and visions disappeared and he came back to his normal self.

He knew who the individual on the Thailand beach was who had the emblem of the chola empire on his back.

His name was Murky AKA Markandeyan,the elder brother of Selvam.

He was the one who had murdered his brother and torn a part of his soul away and had left him half alive and half dead.

Rudran's eyes glared into the pics that the americans were displaying on the screen and yet his brain began to formulate a plan and he knew what he had to do and softly whispered " Soon Bhairav,soon.We both will have our Redemption.

Back in 2010,i was busy with the Tv serial Maharani that was being telecast in vijay tv.As most of you know that the entire shooting was done in Trivandrum,Kerala for the producer was based there and the serial itself was a remake of the popular ENDE MANASA PUTHRI.

Starting from mid october 2009 until October 2011 i kept flying out from Chennai to Trivandrum and this largely kept me away from work here and sadly i lost out on lots of ads and other tv projects because of date clashes.But life went on and one Sunday,i decided to attend a tv artistes union meeting where i bumped into Mathi aka Mathivannan who i knew from my times when i acted in mandhira vaasal back in 2000 to 2001.

Mathi had been what you can loosely term as a man friday or all in all azhagu raja and he along with rakesh and sunil were the legs and arms of kutty padmini's company vaishnavi pictures and also the blood and sweat of its many successes.

As is my habit,i stood quietly leaning against a pillow near the last row of the kalyana mandapam and watched the many jokes unfolding by the many jokers on the podium.And as always i wondered and marvelled at the bombastic speeches by people in power and positions but funnily all that they were was only in 1500 member tv artistes union and strangely they acted as if they had sprouted brass balls.

The pseudo snob that i am which is masked by my beaming smile that really reaches my believable eyes,i turned to the pat on my back and met mathi and we fell into a whispered conversation.

Then out of the blue,he told me that he was working on a tv serial with actress gowthami for Kalaignar tv and asked me if i was willing to play an important role in it.I looked at him and rolled my eyes and asked him what the role was about and he said that i would be playing gowthamis brother and an police inspector.

I told him i would need a couple of days to think it over and he said okay.But i looked at him and wondered if it would work with my clean shaven look and he said it wouldn't be a problem for it would match the marble color skin of gowthami and that we would gel as siblings.

A few minutes later,i told him i was ready to play the role but only if i was allowed to do it honestly and with dignity and in a realistic manner.He had this " W*F" expression in his eyes and i told him that every actor plays the role of a cop in a very cliched and loud way for they are all influenced by Thangapadakkam's Shivaji,Moondru mugams Alex pandiyan and the latter vikrams aarusaamy and surya's durai singam.

Mathi nodded okay and the very next day sent a tailor to my house to take measurements and about a week later we started work on Abirami and well the less said about it i guess the better.What could have been a decent and reasonable success soon became a miscarriage and soon had to be aborted and maybe someday i will be bold enough to reveal the reasons behind the disaster.

Happily,a lot of people told me i had done a decent job and that was that.Okay,now that is out of the way, i will tell you why i wrote all this mumbo jumbo and the only reason is the film i saw recently titled " ACTION HERO BIJU."

Please,don't forget for a second that i too am a fan and love going to the movies and watch it with my mouth wide open as the story unfolds and as the hero singlehandedly fights off many villains and triumphs in the end.

As of this moment,my favourite actor is Nivin pauly for after Bangalore days,Premam and Action hero biju i realised that even against odds there is room in indian cinema to play the characters as real as possible and also balance it with class and mass.

I guess the story and screenplay play a huge and vital part when it comes to the principal characters of any given cinema.But when the entire team decide to present to the public a real deal story that is filled with dignity,grace and also illusions then you bet it is going to be a huge hit.

I saw Action hero Biju three times and that too in one week although my record is vettaiyadu vilayadu which i saw five times in one week.

The film chronicles the life of a sub inspector and all kinds of case he has to deal with starting from a dog bite to funny situations where a complaint is made against a guy who bathes naked in front of everybody and also a drunken man who flashes his saggy parts to the public and he flashes it to the cops too.cases where kids are into drugs and a wife who has eloped and many more incidents which sheds light on the life of a cop and the toll it takes on his mind and body.It makes you see cops in a new way and maybe also tells us why they are like what they are and how politics and money change them even though they want to just do their duty.

I wish i had been part of this film in some small role and had appeared just in one shot like i did in Thani oruvan.Yikes.

Theri,vijays cop film was a huge let down,simply because it was purely mass and boringly predictable and was also badly supported by a clown villain,the much hyped performance of actor Mahendran who was and is a brilliant director.Hype,Hype and pure hype for his hand mannerisms reveal his infatuation and crush on the style of the only real superstar Rajinikanth.

If the superstars performance in Moondru mugam was and is still raved over it is also because of the fantastic job done by the late Senthamarai as Egambaram.

Police stories need powerful villains or at least stylish killers like Arvind swamy's portrayal in Thani oruvan as Siddharth Abhimanyu.

Action hero biju is class,mass and reality mixed and served as a tasty dish that can be savored again and again,something which cannot be done with other cop films.
