The soul is never born nor dies at any time. It is timeless. Soul has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being.
Soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. Soul is not slain when the body is slain.- Mahabharata
Shakti stopped the lord and gently asked him where he was going off to in secrecy. The lord smiled ' there is no hiding anything from you is there my lady.' Shakti smiled gently and said ' lord, you are me and i am you. all that flows in this cosmos is you and so even the slightest ripple is felt by me. so tell me where you are running off to like our son skanda does all the time.' the lord smiled ' i am going to be born today in the next few minutes and i have to see it for myself.'
Shakti smiled ' lord, you are here then how can you be born in the next few minutes. i am confused and yet curious to know more of this drama of yours.'
The lord smiled ' when i meant i was going to be born on earth in a new avatar, i did not mean just me but a part of me. Lord vishnu is going down to earth to be born as krishna and i want to see him as a baby and enjoy carrying him just as i did ganesha and skanda. He is going to earth to fight against evil and i want to be the first to give him my blessings. now that your doubts and curiosity is cleared, can i take leave.'
Shakti smiled ' you men. i will never understand you or Narayana and the games you play.'
The lord stood as Krishna was left alone for a few minutes and slowly went near the crib. He stood gazing at the beautiful child and tears flowed from his eyes and fell on the child. It opened its eyes and seeing the lord reached out with its tiny hands. the lord knelt and slowly lifted Krishna into his arms and kissed his forehead. The newborn kicked at the lord's hands and chest and the lord laughed and felt the kicks like rose petals brushing him. When he tried to place baby Krishna back into the crib, the baby's lips quivered and would not let go of his finger. The lord smiled and whispered,' my lord i am not going anywhere and will be with you always. For i am you and you are me.'
Flowers rained down from the heavens and all life on earth came to a standstill. The lord looked up and around and saw that the heavens had opened up and all the gods and goddesses were standing there with folded hands and praying to them. The lord smiled and thought ' that wife of mine cannot keep a secret.'
All the gods from Shakti,Lakshmi,Brahma, Indira etc and all the Great rishis stood there with folded hands praying to lord shiva who still had krishna in his arms.
Brahma spoke with tears in his eyes ' Mahadeva, thank you for giving this rare opportunity to worship you and Narayana together.'The baby chuckled in happiness and hearing the noise Yashoda ran into the room where Krishna was and was surprised to find the whole room filled with flowers.
Passage from my mind and my own thoughts of gods and their epics.

"You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it."? Maya Angelou
Arjun did not want his dad to be cremated in an electric crematorium but wanted his dad to have a proper and old fashioned sendoff.
Arrangements had been made for a few sandalwood pieces to be placed along with the wood that now covered his dad. The priest had been informed not to ask any questions and just do his job of chanting sacred verses and leave quietly. He was only happy to oblige for he had paid in advance thrice what he would normally charge. The cremation ground outside Kanchipuram, was a quiet one and largely unused. The local leader had also paid well and so the last rites of Venkatesan went off well and he would surely rest in peace for his son was there until the end, when a stiff breeze lifted the ashes and carried it off, somewhere.
Arjun stood looking in the direction his fathers ashes were carried away ' dad, goodbye. there is a real chance that i might see you soon, very soon but not before i have completed my task. I am sorry if i have not been the son that you wanted me to be and i am really sorry for killing lavanya.'
Arjun got into the taxi which he had prearranged in kanchipuram and it travelled towards chennai. But unknown to him, a green maruti car followed him until the outskirts of chennai and from where a autorickshaw picked up the tail of arjun's car and he was followed all the way to his lair in kelambakkam.
Dhana knew that there was no more time to be wasted and it was time for action and whispered to police commissioner Palanivel where he was going to next. Palanivel was about to protest and dhana ' i know, i know but this is something which i need to do. so please respect my wishes and just get it done. How you will do it is something which i will leave to you. I am going to finish here in another half an hour and then it is off to the place i have just mentioned.'
Commissioner palanivel saluted him stiffly ' it will be done as you wish.' and left calling out to some of the assistant commissioners who were standing there.
It was an old ambassador but only the driver and the department knew it was practically, an indestructible car. The car had bullet proof windows, the sides were reinforced with steel and special composites over the original body, the bottom of the car had layers of steel to protect the passengers if in case a bomb exploded under the car. The original engine was replaced by a custom built mercedes engine and it could move quickly if the need arose and left many a modern car standing still. But then that was a secret and now the car slowly entered the street. The police had already checked out the place and were now discreetly parked in a few cars on the road.
The only thing that would make one suspicious or wonder was that the car had dark glasses which has been banned by the government. But then people who might wonder about it would pass it off the politicians or their relatives who were or thought themselves as above the law.
The door opened and Chief minister dhanashakara pandiyan got out and looked at the large house and wondered if it was possible and if things could be so easy. He had come to the house of arjun's parents to pay his respects for the death of venkatesan who was the father of his college friend. Well that is just a small part of truth when in fact dhana had come to see for himself what the situation was, and if arjun was there in hiding. His plan was not to dilly dally anymore and head straight into the deep rather than wait and see if anything would develop. Dhana had told police commissioner palanivel about the whole matter and why chandru and malaiswamy were killed and who he suspected could be behind the whole thing.
It was late in the evening and the sun still hung low, an orange ball in the west hoping to maybe see and end to the misery which arjun had cast into many people's lives. The sea breeze had set in and it cooled the heat that dhana felt in his mind and body and he entered arjuns house.
The watchman who was reading a paper called out to him to see who it was that was entering and when he saw the man jumped ten feet in the air from the chair that he was seated in, at least it looked like that and ran towards dhana. He must have been in his late fifties and yet that didn't stop him from trying to touch dhana;s feet. Dhana stepped back and asked him to lead him into the house and inform arjuns mother that he wanted to meet her to pay his respects for her loss.
The watchman flew into the house and dhana gently smiled at the usual noises like chairs scraping, people yelling in muted excitement that generally happened when he made an entrance and arjun's mum came rushing out with folded hands. A simple woman she bowed to dhana who gently held her hands and ' i knew arjun from college and heard about your loss. please accept my condolences. i dont want to trouble you in this hour of your grief and will leave now.'
But arjuns mother inisisted that he come inside and pay his respects to her husbands photo. ' this house has been in darkness from the time my daughter lavanya died and now has become like hell with my husband passing away. by your presence please bring light and joy into this house and our lives. i wish my son was here but he has gone to cremate his father.I am glad at least he made it today for how long were we supposed to keep him in the house. But then those were my instructions of my husband that until arjun comes he should be kept in the freezer box.'
Dhana absorbed every word arjun's mother said and remained calm. Sometimes one does not need to probe or question and silence can itself be a cause for souls to unburden themselves. Arjun's mother slowly started talking about life and her husband and it came to where she started to talk about lavanya.
Dhana did not want to hear anything about lavanya and was more interested about arjun and what he was doing right now. He calmly told arjuns mum to forget the past and think about arjun and his future when she started crying loudly ' sir, this whole darkness that has filled our lives started that night when lavanya died.but very few people know that she was strangled and killed by her own brother because she was pregnant with a child. I did not know about this until recently when my dying husband confessed the whole thing to me. He said alhough he was angry with arjun for murdering his sister he was proud that he had prevented their house from shame and a bad name.'
The words felt like thunder in dhana's ears and tears welled up in his eyes for he knew that lavanya had carried balaji's child and if balaji came to know about this then it would just break him to pieces.
The whole puzzle now fell into place and dhana visualised everything that had started this whole sad drama of revenge and repentance. He knew that it was time to confront arjun and put an end to all this needless deaths of innocent people.
He consoled arjun's mother and taking leave from her travelled to the hospital where balaji was.
Break my legs so I won't walk to you
